Douluo: Marrying a Wife to Become a God, Having Children for Blessings

Chapter 171: Chapter 171: Shrek Academy, Ma Hongjun, and Oscar

"Many thanks to Martial Ancestor for your righteous intervention. Your kindness cannot be repaid with mere words. We'll take our leave now!"

Tang Chen and Tang Hao expressed their gratitude profusely before hastily departing with Tang San in tow.

Despite Tang San's mastery of hidden weapons, the situation had turned on him, forcing Zhou Yi to step in and save him.

Embarrassed, they had no face to linger any longer.

After leaving the Zhou Estate, Tang San slowly regained consciousness. Instantly, an indescribable pain surged through every nerve in his body.

Pain!

It was a searing agony that pierced to the bone.

The terror of the Dragon Whisker Needle was beyond imagination—especially since it had struck the most vulnerable part of a man's body.

Although the needle had been removed, the pain remained excruciating.

Tang San activated his Mysterious Heaven Skill, suppressing the worst of the pain. However, the thought of being defeated by Zhou Haoyue again—and so miserably at that—filled him with unbearable frustration.

He was a genius, after all.

In his previous life in the Tang Sect, even as an outer disciple, he surpassed many inner disciples and true inheritors.

Now, reborn into this life, he had been defeated twice in a row by someone of his age.

"It's all because of that sword technique... I never expected Zhou Yi to possess such an unparalleled sword skill!"

Tang San attributed his defeat to the Nine Swords of Dugu.

"Just wait until I advance further in cultivation. Once I can wield the Yama's Invitation, Guayin's Tear, and even craft the Buddha's Fury Tang Lotus, we'll see how he defends himself!"

Grinding his teeth, Tang San vowed silently.

He couldn't believe that with the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record and the full inheritance of the Tang Sect, he couldn't surpass Zhou Haoyue.

His ultimate goal was to defeat Martial Ancestor Zhou Yi, to restore the Tang Sect's glory and overshadow the Martial Sect. If he couldn't even handle Zhou Haoyue, how could he ever face Zhou Yi?

At the Zhou Estate, the crowd was buzzing with excitement.

Zhou Haoyue's resounding victory over Tang San had sparked cheers from all around.

Though most didn't take Tang San seriously, seeing his arrogant demeanor humbled was immensely satisfying.

"Well done, Haoyue!"

Zhou Yi ruffled Zhou Haoyue's hair, his tone both approving and cautionary.

"Tang San does have some talent, but he's narrow-minded and adept with poisons and hidden weapons. He'll undoubtedly seek revenge in the future to regain his pride.

"When that time comes, he'll likely use even more insidious tactics. So don't get complacent. Continue to cultivate diligently, and remember: even when you are stronger than your opponent, always exercise caution in battle.

"Whether it's Tang San or anyone else, always approach combat as though facing a lion."

"Grandson will remember your teachings!" Zhou Haoyue clasped his hands respectfully, his confidence brimming.

"Rest assured, Grandfather. Any enemy I defeat is no longer worthy of being called a rival. I'll give them all the time they need to catch up, but they'll never even catch a glimpse of my back!"

"You little show-off! Go on now."

Zhou Yi chuckled, dismissing the crowd.

Returning to his training chamber, Zhou Yi began refining pills according to the principles laid out in the Basic Guide to Alchemy.

With his perfect inheritance, Zhou Yi's first attempt at alchemy was astonishingly smooth, as if he had practiced it countless times. Basic pills of various effects were soon flawlessly crafted.

Later that evening.

Liu Erlong entered the training chamber, carrying a bowl of tremella soup.

"Take a break, Husband. I made you some snow fungus soup."

Zhou Yi looked up at Liu Erlong.

Her graceful figure, complemented by her gentle curves, made his heart race. With a casual motion, Zhou Yi pulled her close, wrapping an arm around her slim waist while taking the soup with his other hand. He drank it in one gulp.

After finishing, Zhou Yi set the bowl aside and let his gaze linger on her delicate face. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he teased, "The soup was mediocre. What I truly crave is black fungus."

"Then I'll make some for you next time—ah!"

Before Liu Erlong could finish her sentence, Zhou Yi swept her off her feet. Her fair arms instinctively wrapped around his neck, her cheeks flushing crimson.

It was clear she knew exactly what Zhou Yi had in mind.

"The hour is late," Zhou Yi murmured, striding towards the bedroom with his beloved in his arms. Her fragrance filled the air as the night deepened.

Shrek Academy.

"Sigh!"

A long sigh broke the stillness, as pale moonlight fell upon a man in his fifties, casting a shadow that stretched far behind him.

Though no longer young, the man was broad-shouldered and stout. His facial features were especially striking—his chin jutted forward slightly, his cheekbones were wide, and his face was flat, with a faintly hooked nose, resembling a worn shoe sole.

He wore black-framed crystal glasses, their rigid, square shape lending him a peculiar air. His narrow, shrewd eyes gleamed with a sorrow that seemed impossible to dispel.

"I wonder what Er Long is doing now..."

Flender lifted his head, gazing at the luminous moon above as the image of a graceful, curvaceous, and captivating figure surfaced in his mind.

It had been five years since he last caught a glimpse of Liu Erlong from afar.

Time had left no trace on her face. She looked as radiant as she had three decades ago when he first laid eyes on her.

Back then, Liu Erlong had been youthful and somewhat plain in demeanor, though her stunning features and striking figure had been impossible to conceal. Now, she had shed all traces of her naivety, exuding poise and elegance, her unparalleled beauty leaving Flender feeling unworthy, even reluctant to approach and greet her.

Because of Liu Erlong, he had chosen not to join Martial Sect, departing early to forge his own path.

Over the years, he had encountered several powerful Soul Masters and, together, founded Shrek Academy.

Yet this academy fell far short of its original grandeur.

There were fewer students.

Fewer teachers.

Even its location had changed—no longer in Suotuo City, it now sat on a simple plot of land near Sunset Forest, where Martial God City resided.

Calling it an academy was generous; it resembled a decrepit village more than anything else.

"Headmaster!"

At that moment, a chubby boy in red came running over. About the same age as Tang San, he was short and stout, his chubby frame radiating an odd sense of solidity.

With short hair, small eyes, and cheeks puffed with fat, he looked somewhat endearing.

The most peculiar feature, however, was the pair of thin whiskers on his upper lip, as if freshly sprouted after adolescence, making him resemble a mischievous mouse.

"Headmaster, so here you are."

Ma Hongjun approached, rubbing his hands together nervously as he said, "You promised to treat us—don't tell me you're planning to renege!"

"Absurd! When has this headmaster ever gone back on his word?"

Pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, Flender rose to his feet.

"Let's go!"

"Yay! Long live the headmaster!"

Ma Hongjun's face lit up with excitement as he struggled to suppress the evil fire stirring within him.

"Headmaster, I'm coming too!"

Another figure suddenly dashed forward, shouting as if carried by the wind.

The newcomer wore simple gray robes and had neatly cropped hair, with a pair of large, peach-blossom eyes. His body hair was noticeably thick, his face covered with a full beard, giving the impression of a rugged man.

This was none other than Oscar.

Perhaps it was fate, perhaps it was destiny, but Oscar, Ma Hongjun, and others had somehow found their way to Flender.

The group of four made their way out of the academy.
