On the way to the Blue Tyrant Academy, Zhu Zhuqing knowing who ran the academy was a part of THAT clan she couldn't help but ask worriedly.
"Big Brother Tang Zhen, are you sure you want to go to that academy? We can always go somewhere else."
Tang Zhen knowing what she was worried about couldn't help but feel touched that she cared for him so much. Reaching out and rubbing her head, he replied.
"Zhuqing, I know what you are thinking and I am grateful that you care about me so much. But just because I have issues with the clan doesn't mean that I hate everyone. There are innocent people that were not involved with the death of my parents and I will not judge them based on the actions of a few greedy people."
Zhu Zhuqing hearing this felt happy. Happy that the man she loved didn't have a mind clouded by revenge. She felt shy that he was giving her such affection in front of the others and blushed heavily but enjoyed feeling his hand on her head.
Xiao Wu watching the two got jealous and pinched Tang Zhen's side gave him a cute pout. Understanding what she wanted, Tang Zhen chuckled and pat her too. Xiao Wu being less shy about these things openly leaned into his touch and felt content.
Behind them, Dugu Yan and Ning Rongrong were boring holes through the back of Tang Zhen's head in jealousy.
Meanwhile Dugu Bo was happy that Dugu Yan was feeling jealous as he really did not want her to be with Yu Tianheng. While the boy was innocent, his direct family was not and Dugu Bo would rather not have her tangled up in the feud which was sure to come eventually. Especially if it was against Tang Zhen.
Arriving at the gates of Blue Tyrant Academy, the group walked up to the guards and upon hearing that Dugu Bo had arrived to speak with the dean of the academy, one of the guards "volunteered" to get the dean, leaving the other guard behind.
Said guard was currently leaking a yellow fluid and the group took a large side step in the opposite direction waiting for the dean to arrive.
Shortly after Liu Erlong and the rest of the teachers of the academy arrived ready to fight. They knew of Dugu Bo's reputation and they needed to be ready for anything.
"Senior Dugu, may I ask for the reason for your visit to our academy?" Liu Erlong asked respectfully cupping her hands.
"Mhm. I have come to discuss with you about enrolling the group of young people behind me including my granddaughter Dugu Yan." He said sternly.
Looking behind Dugu Bo and using their soul power to probe the level of the potential students, everyone was stunned. They were all extremely high for their age and he even wanted to enroll his granddaughter? Soon the teachers were overjoyed as that would mean they would have the backing of a Titled Douluo. For years they have been mocked by the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy for only accepting commoners and even with all their efforts, they simply could not match the resources the noble families had for their children.
"Please Senior Dugu, let me brew you a cup of tea." Liu Erlong said sweetly. She was known to be a fiery person but she knew when she needed to be charming, and this was definitely one of those times.
"Mhm." Dugu Bo and the group followed Liu Erlong to her home.
Arriving at her abode, Liu Erlong brewed tea for Dugu Bo and let him enjoy it in silence ready to pour him another cup. After having two, Dugu Bo finally set down the tea cup firmly signaling he was about to get the to the point of why he was there.
"I came here today to enroll these young people to your academy like I stated earlier. But before I do, I must ask you a question."
Liu Erlong knew the question he was about to ask would be the determining factor about whether or not he would allow this group of individuals to enroll into her academy.
"Years ago the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan hunted down and killed a woman by the name of Yu Lanxin for marrying a man from a different clan. I need to know your opinion on that." He said sternly trying not to give too many things away.
Liu Erlong hearing the name started to cry not caring about her image.
"I was born with a mutated martial soul and from a prostitute, as a result, the rest of the clan bullied and disregarded me. Even that bastard who calls himself my father. The only person in the clan that treated me like a normal person was Sister Lanxin. She told me to forge my own path using my martial soul and to never give up and that she would always believe in me. When I heard she was killed I left the clan and came here to start this academy. I regret with all my heart that I could not find her son to take care of him and can only hope that she will forgive me in the after life."
Dugu Bo hearing her sincerity was glad to hear Liu Erlong actually like Lanxin.
"I had a sworn brother from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and he was betrayed and killed. He also had a daughter named Yu Lanxin who happened to be my goddaughter. After I found out about her death, I felt like I had failed my brother and was openly hostile with the clan." Dugu Bo Said.
At this moment Tang Zhen stepped out and said in a warm voice.
"I am sure that mother is proud of you Aunt Erlong and that she doesn't hate you at all."
Shocked by his words, Liu Erlong turned to look at Tang Zhen and had to confirm with him.
"A-are you Sister Lanxin's son?"
"Yes."
Liu Erlong unable to hold it hugged Tang Zhen tightly. Unfortunately she was crying so much from happiness and relief that she didn't realize that she had Tang Zhen's face in her chest and was suffocating him. What a way to go.
Zhu Zhuqing and Xiao Wu seeing this started to panic and tried to pry Tang Zhen away from her to no avail. Liu Erlong only saw what she did when she noticed that Tang Zhen had gone limp and looking down, she saw he had passed out and was an off blue color. The tree women started to fuss about Tang Zhen trying to get him to wake up.
The other three people in the room was watching the whole scene with a massive sweat drop.
After Tang Zhen came out of his coma, Liu Erlong asked him what his plans were. Stating he wanted to make a battle team for the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Elite Tournament, she readily agreed.
Dugu Yan hearing this asked Dugu Bo to take her to the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy but before he could deny her request thinking she wanted to go see Yu Tianheng, she said that it was to recruit another member for their team. Although she also wanted to go and break things off with Yu Tianheng as well.
After hearing the full story of Tang Zhen's life, she decided that it was better to not be tied to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan since that would mean eventually getting involved in that conflict. She didn't want to fight against her grandfather and also against Tang Zhen who she had to admit was taking Yu Tianheng's place in her heart.
After they left Tang Zhen intentionally displayed his affection to Zhu Zhuqing and Xiao Wu in front of Liu Erlong while Ning Rongrong sat on the side with an extremely cute pout on her face jealous.
Liu Erlong seeing their loving affection couldn't help but think of Yu Xiaogang. Unable to see their actions any longer she stepped outside.
Tang Zhen seeing this excused himself giving Zhuqing and Xiao Wu a kiss and providing them a chance to talk to talk to Ning Rongrong about her feelings towards Tang Zhen unbeknownst to him.
Walking outside he saw Liu Erlong standing on a wooden bridge with the sound of the creek water flowing underneath it. He saw Liu Erlong illuminated by the moonlight enhancing her beauty. While she was past her prime, she was still extremely beautiful. Walking up to her he called out.
"Aunt Erlong. Are you okay?"
Startled by Tang Zhen, Liu Erlong jumped but replied, "Yes I am."
"You look sad Aunt Erlong, are you still thinking about my mother? I told you before she would be very proud of you and happy you found your way." Tang Zhen said.
"No it's not that." Unable to think of something else at the moment due to the turmoil in her head, Liu Erlong remained silent.
"Are you thinking of a man? Did someone hurt you Aunt Erlong?" Tang Zhen said seriously.
Sighing, Liu Erlong told Tang Zhen everything. She needed someone to talk to and who else other than her sister Lanxin's son. Even if he was a little younger who better?
Tang Zhen smirked inwardly. Before entering Shrek Academy, Tang Zhen came ahead of time. He always wondered why Yu Xiaogang arrived later than Tang San in the original story when he left weeks ahead of him. He waited for a while until he saw Yu Xiaogang entering the city gate. Curious he followed him and was surprised to see that he was heading to the Rose Hotel. Oh this was too good.
After confirming that he was there for a few weeks sleeping with multiple women, Tang Zhen left to join Zhuqing and Xiao Wu.
"Aunt Erlong. There is something I need to show you. But we have to go to Soutuo City." Tang Zhen with a regretful expression he reached out his and to her.
Liu Erlong curious took his hand and was pulled up.
"How are we going to get to Soutuo City? It's at leas-AH!"
Cut off from her words, she let out a cute squeal as Tang Zhen scooped her up into bridal carry.
"Stinky brat let go of me!" she yelled.
"Hold on tight Aunt Erlong." Tang Zhen said with a smile. Then wings of soul power he made with the system reward for the Flying Dou Technique, he leapt into the air.
Liu Erlong, not used to full flight yet screamed until she could no longer feel the wind. Tang Zhen had created a barrier with soul power to block the wind for them. She slowly opened her eyes and looked down to see the forest ground passing by incredibly fast with a random cloud passing by as well. She realized they were flying.....flying above the clouds. She then turned her head and saw an image that would stay with her forever. The full moon was bigger almost as if she could reach out and grab it. The stars were shining brighter than ever before. Along with that scenery, she saw Tang Zhen's handsome face illuminated by the moonlight and a blush slowly crept onto her face.
Tang Zhen realizing that Liu Erlong was no longer blowing up his eardrum looked down at her and smiled.
Liu Erlong feeling his well worked body and muscles along with seeing his smile blushed even harder and averted her gaze while taking quick peeks at Tang Zhen admiring his features.
After about an hour, they landed on the street and she hurriedly got out of his embrace and after gathering herself, she asked where they were going.
Taking her by the hand, Tang Zhen led her down the street. Liu Erlong still blushing followed silently enjoying the feeling of his hand until she saw the Rose Hotel in front of her. Knowing what kind of place this was, she was about to erupt in fury until she saw Tang Zhen point to the rooftop of a nearby building and jumped up to it. Following him, she realized they were there to try and spy on someone.
After waiting a few minutes five people came out of a nearby restaurant. Liu Erlong's eyes lit up when she saw that one of them was Yu Xiaogang. She was overjoyed about to rush up to him and embrace him but was held back by Tang Zhen and he made a gesture to wait and listen. Soon after she heard one of the people who seemed to be students speak up.
"Boss Dai, are you really treating us today?" It was a fat one with red hair that asked.
"Of course fatty, as your elder brother of course I have to take care of my brothers. Master, your student will also take care of you as well." A handsome blond said.
"Hahaha Mubai, you truly are a good student knowing how to treat your teacher well." Yu Xiaogang replied.
Liu Erlong was happy to see her love interacting well with his students. Then her blood ran cold as she realized they were heading to the Rose Hotel. Taking her hand again, Tang Zhen used the Shunshin to bring her up towards an adjacent roof that gave a view to one of the suites that Yu Xiaogang liked to use. After a few minutes the door burst open with Yu Xiaogang coming in holding two women by the waist. All three laughing and giggling and soon his hands went down and started to grope their rears. Not long after clothes were tossed aside and before Liu Erlong's blank eyes could see more, Tang Zhen took her away to a nearby forest.
Once in the forest Liu Erlong hugged herself holding her arms and her shoulders started to shake.
Tang Zhen walked over to her and turning her around, he hugged her. Soon after Liu Erlong buried herself in his chest and cried for a long time. All the frustration and sadness of waiting for the love of her life to come back to her came crashing down at once. Images of Yu Xiaogang with those two women kept playing back in her mind making her cry harder. After a while she fell asleep from exhaustion. Tang Zhen took her and sat down with his back to a nearby tree and held Liu Erlong as she slept.
An hour later, Liu Erlong woke up and feeling arms around her she turned around to see Tang Zhen and noticed the intimate position they were in. She scrambled to get up but was held in place by Tang Zhen.
"Tang Zhen, let me go."
"No."
"Let. Go."
"No."
"I SAID LET ME GO!" Liu Erlong's soul power erupted breaking free from Tang Zhen's embrace.
Tang Zhen was prepared for this. He knew Liu Erlong needed to vent her frustration and just hoped he didn't end up like that fire scorpion in the original story. He knew this was a good chance to go all out and show his strength to his future wife.
Liu Erlong, a straightforward person liked to fight in her true martial soul form. Sure enough she activated her seventh soul skill Dragon Form and charged straight at him.
"DIE!"
"Erlong, oh Erlong, what happened to taking care of me in place of my mother?" Tang Zhen thought shaking his head.
Activating his Sharingan, he yelled out, "THIRD SOUL SKILL. THUNDER EMPEROR'S ARMOR!"
Thunder developed around him enhancing his defense and he blocked Liu Erlong's attack but she soon started to overpower him.
"FOURTH SOUL SKILL. HEAVEN'S SHOCKWAVE!" Tang Zhen's fourth black soul ring erupted and Liu Erlong was flung back. His fourth soul skill acquired from a 20,000 year old Thunder Dragon gave him the ability to repel all enemies and attacks. It was like a combination of Huo Wu's Flame repelling ability and the Shinra Tensei.
A stunned Liu Erlong stared at Tang Zhen. This kid is only level 52 but he has a configuration of purple, purple, black, black but his fifth ring hasn't shown up. Knowing it was another 10,000 year soul ring, she kept her guard up.
After practicing his soul control, Tang Zhen realized he could control how many soul rings he could release/show at once. Unlike others whose rings just spill out due to a lack of control, he could control his and all of his skills were more potent while using less soul power.
"Aunt Erlong, are you still a virgin?" Tang Zhen asked purposefully.
Liu Erlong was indeed still pure. She was saving herself for Yu Xiaogang but that bastard has been sticking his little dick in every hole he sees. She got even angrier and unleashed her full power launching a Flame Dragon directly at Tang Zhen.
"SECOND SOUL SKILL. TESLA PRISON!" The Flame Dragon stopped for 2 seconds before Liu Erlong pushed more power into the strike breaking the cage and continuing forward. But that brief delay gave Tang Zhen enough time to unleash his next ability.
"FIFTH SOUL SKILL. THUNDER EMPEROR LANCE!" Tang Zhen's fifth black soul ring erupted and a lance made of an ominous black and red thunder emerged. Grasping it he threw it with all his might at the oncoming Flame Dragon. "HAAAA!"
The lance flew through the air and collided with the Flame Dragon head on. Liu Erlong was shocked to see that she was actually struggling against this attack. "What kind of monster is he?" she thought. Eventually pushing the rest of her available soul power into the attack, the Flame Dragon overpowered the Thunder lance.
"SHIT!" Tang Zhen yelled. Soon after the Flame Dragon engulfed Tang Zhen and Liu Erlong realizing what she had done after using all her soul power and calming down considerably yelled for Tang Zhen worried about him.
The dust made it impossible to see what happened. Did she kill him? Please be okay!
Soon she saw what looked like a purple flame peaking through the dust. Slowly the dust settle and Liu Erlong couldn't help but gape at the huge skeletal figure in front of her with glowing yellow eyes. It was utterly terrifying. In the center of it she saw Tang Zhen breathing heavily on one knee relieved he was okay but too afraid of the figure to get closer.
Tang Zhen thanked his lucky stars that he received the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan when he reached level 50. Blocking that attack with the regular Mangekyou would have been a 50/50 gamble.
He looked up to see Liu Erlong with tears in her eyes but with a look of fear as well. Releasing his Susanoo he limped over to Liu Erlong. Still frozen and drained, Liu Erlong couldn't move. Tang Zhen reached her and pulled her into a hug. She soon started to cry again saying that she was sorry over and over.
After a while he pulled her away, Liu Erlong couldn't help but whine at the loss of contact. She felt so warm in his embrace. She felt safe. She felt....loved.
"Erlong. Do you feel better now?" Tang Zhen said with tenderness.
Her eyes went wide. She didn't expect him to call her that knowing that she was way older than him. But what really touched her was that he went through all that to make her feel better?
"Tang Zhen why would you do that?" She asked shakily.
Tang Zhen smiled at her.
"I couldn't stand to see you crying and shedding your tears for a man like that. You don't deserve that. I know you are a strong woman and that to me adds to your beauty and charm but I know that is something you created to mask the other part of you. A loving and tender woman who enjoys watering plants, seeing the sunset over the forest, and singing along with the birds. I'll lend you a shoulder to cry on. You don't have to act in front of me. I want to see the real you."
Liu Erlong felt her heart beat faster as he said those words. In the short time she was with him, she stopped seeing him as someone she should be regarding as a godson or nephew and as a man. He was slowly worming his way into her heart. But she was way older than him. It wouldn't be right.
"Tang Zhen, I am an old woman. I will admit that I am slowly falling for you but I can't it wouldn't be right. You have Zhuqing and Xiao Wu, two very lovely girls your age who can provide you with all the love you need. I also see that Ning Rongrong has strong feelings for you too. Why would you want an old woman like me?" She said dejectedly.
Tang Zhen grabbed her chin and lifted her face to see him. He smiled at her and wiped her tears away.
"You're beautiful Erlong. Don't think for one second that you feel like you're not. As the age gap, leave it to me. Will you trust me?" He said with conviction.
Liu Erlong searched his eyes now back to the lovely blue that glowed in the moonlight for any signs of deception hoping not to be played again like Yu Xiaogang. But she could find nothing but sincerity and it made her heart beat faster.
"Can you say it? I need to hear you say it. Please....Tang Zhen." She whimpered.
Tang Zhen grabbed her face with both hands and tilted her face up more and leaned in.
"I love you Erlong. I'll say it as many times as I need to."
Under the moonlight they kissed for a while before finally heading back to Blue Tyrant Academy.
Meanwhile....
Some soul beasts were sleeping peacefully. You could even see some little ones snuggled up into their parents. What a cute scene....Until two fucking humans came and all of a sudden a Flame Dragon was spitting fire everywhere and arcs of electricity started flying and a lot of gibberish yelling and even a demon showed up!
It was like hell was let loose. All the soul beasts were running away. Some like the 10 year soul beasts didn't make it.
Surrounded by fire a squirrel yelled at the top of his lungs.
"WE'RE ALL GONNA FUCKIN DIE!!!!"
Well THAT didn't help. Panic ensued even more.
A group of rabbits huddle together behind a tree until all of a sudden it went silent.
Was this it? Were they already dead?
Seeing they were fine, the dad peeked out from the tree to see these two bipolar humans kissing.
He never saw something so revolting and puked. Still shaking he looked again to see they were gone.
The forest they were in was completely charred and destroyed....
