Chapter 41: 41. Interior.
The living room was large enough to fit their entire previous house and more.
The leather couches were so wide they could literally serve as beds. The glass table glowed faintly, the walls were laced with golden trim, and the LED strip around the house further elevated its glamour.
In front of this massive room, a huge TV that was taller than Zach was mounted on the wall.
"A cinema!?, It's a cinema!" Zain grabbed Zach's shoulder, running off to the TV to closely inspect it.
Zach walked casually around, running his finger across the back of a couch. Smooth, clean, and very pristine. The kind of luxury that would make heads turn.
The butler smiled patiently, waiting for the duo, while Zain danced, adoring the large 200-inch TV, while Zach stood in the dining hall just opposite the large space, staring into a tall framed picture of a peacock.
"Can I show you the rest, master?"
"Wait, there's more!?" Zain's eyes beamed.
Zach smiled bitterly.
"Let's go."
The butler led them upstairs.
He opened the bathroom door, and Zain nearly fainted. Even Zach's cool demeanor cracked a bit.
It was made with glass and stainless steel.
With a weirdly shaped shower that coiled around like a snake.
The shower was encased with glass, jets mounted all around like some futuristic machine, the sink gleamed, and the mirror displayed the date, time, temperature, and a "Good afternoon, sir" written in LED.
Zain turned the shower handle and yelped when water sprayed out instantly.
"It's raining indoors!?"
"Nah... those are called showers," Zach explained.
To him, he felt like he was accustomed to all these things because he had actually gone to places like company buildings anytime he wanted to submit a contract application, or the mystic arts university.
But Zain was entirely new to this.
Comfy beds, and a nice upstairs balcony. Also, Zach was introduced to this thing called AC.
If you haven't heard of it, it's basically a machine that dispenses cold out of it, making the inside cool, even if the day is hot.
Zach hadn't heard about this technology in his life.
At the end of the amazing tour, Zach told Zain to rest in one of the glamorous rooms.
The butler led Zach to the underground training bunker, a wide space filled with all sorts of wooden weapons hung neatly on a rack.
"So how much is all this?" Zach raised a brow.
"Ha ha, straight to business are you? I could tell that's what was on your mind the second you saw this place," he joked.
If money was going out of Zach's bank, he had to know how much.
"This house is worth just 100 diamond tokens," the butler smiled.
"Diamond token...?" Zach raised a brow.
"Oh... you can say it's worth just 10,000 gold coins."
'Pffftttt...' if Zach was drinking something right now, he would have spilled it all over.
"The walls in this training facility are strong enough to withstand a nuclear explosion, with thick and sound-proof walls," The butler assured him.
Zach was led outside where he had to pay for the apartment complex.
Zach stared at his black credit card, sobbing on the inside.
He swiped his card over the machine, and a ding sound was heard.
"Thanks for your purchase. Please contact us if you need anything."
"Sure thing..."
The guys were out of there.
Zach pulled out a new phone from his pocket. White with blue edges, he had time to tell one of the tourists to get it for him, but of course, it cost 7 gold coins.

This notification hit him harder than any monster could.
"Just like that, all that money disappeared."
Zach sighed and decided to not think about it too much.
Zach walked to the top floor of the two-floor duplex, putting his hand on the railing and looking outside.
The neighborhood was quiet, too quiet, not like the rowdy neighborhood he knew.
Evening came, and Zach was shocked when he opened the fridge, half expecting it to be empty.
He actually read the house deal and he was supposed to pay a total of 40 silver pieces every month to restock, meaning he really doesn't have to do anything to maintain this home.
Well... except cleaning.
There were so many things to do, so he couldn't just be there.
It was getting late. So Zach decided to go to bed.
He glanced at the wide master bed in confusion, like, how does he sleep on it?
Unlike the other appliances in the house, this one didn't come with an instruction manual.
"I guess I'm just supposed to lie down."
Zain was too busy in the living room watching the TV, but Zach had to sleep.
There were a few things he would like to try in his internal world.
