Doctor and His Glamorous Sister-in-Law

Chapter 99: One Night

With that, Fu Ya lowered her head toward Liu Ergou.

Liu Ergou knew exactly what was coming. He lifted his head without ceremony, and their lips met.

The battle between them intensified. Back and forth they went, neither willing to show weakness.

Within minutes, a heavy rain began to fall outside. The downpour was fierce, with raindrops hammering the ground and sending up endless splashes of water. The sprays were continuous, showing no sign of stopping. The rain grew heavier and heavier until it became a torrential storm, shrouding the entire sky.

Lightning flashed across the heavens, accompanied by one deafening thunderclap after another. If not for the room's soundproofing, the others in the villa would have surely heard the rolling thunder.

This was the first time Fu Ya had ever been so intimate with a man. She had always been repulsed by them—until Liu Ergou saved her life. She found herself growing interested in this man, and from that moment on, she fell deeper and deeper, unable to stop or pull herself away.

The storm raged on until the latter half of the night before finally, reluctantly, subsiding.

By then, Fu Ya was like a little kitten, curled up in Liu Ergou's arms. Her face was flushed and content.

She looked at Liu Ergou coquettishly. "I never would have thought, Ergou… you're really something else. I completely underestimated you! If I hadn't been prepared, I would have been thoroughly routed by now!"

Hearing her words, Liu Ergou chuckled.

"Fu Ya, we've barely even started. I was just worried you couldn't handle it, otherwise…"

He trailed off, his meaning perfectly clear.

To Fu Ya, his words sounded like a challenge. Though utterly exhausted, her spirit was instantly rekindled. She struggled out of his embrace and adopted a defiant pose.

"Hmph, keep bragging. I'd like to see how long you can really last. You're nothing but a spent force!"

With that, Fu Ya launched herself at Liu Ergou once more.

This time, they didn't stop until the sun was just about to rise.

Now, Fu Ya lay on the bed, limp and boneless. Her hazy eyes were fixed on the ceiling, her mind adrift. As for Liu Ergou, he looked no different than before, still brimming with energy as if nothing had happened.

His vitality filled Fu Ya with a sudden sense of helplessness. He's just too incredible.

After a long while, the boneless Fu Ya finally began to stir.

"E-Ergou… I was wrong. I shouldn't have challenged you! How can you be so powerful?"

Liu Ergou didn't say anything, simply giving her a playful slap on the behind.

"Alright, Fu Ya. It's almost dawn. You should hurry back to your room. If Uncle Fu sees you walking out of my bedroom in the morning, we'll both be done for!"

Hearing this, the listless Fu Ya instantly perked up and struggled to sit up in bed.

She patted her chest and declared, "So what if he sees? What's he going to do about it? He'd probably be thrilled! He's just dying to marry me off so he can have his own little world with that woman!"

As she spoke, the 'pendant lights' on her chest trembled, captivating Liu Ergou's gaze.

Fu Ya noticed his intense stare. But she didn't shy away; instead, she puffed out her chest defiantly.

The sight sent waves of shock through Liu Ergou, and he lost control, his wandering hand reaching for her once again.

Fortunately, Fu Ya reacted quickly, dodging his hand with a swift movement.

"I was wrong, I was wrong," she pleaded pitifully. "Ergou, please, no more! I really can't take it. I'm going back now!"

With that, she grabbed Liu Ergou's face, planted a firm kiss on his lips, then used the wall for support as she picked up her clothes and hobbled toward her room.

The distance from the bed to the door was only two or three meters, but it took Fu Ya nearly twenty minutes to cross it.

This made Liu Ergou's heart pound with anxiety as he watched. At this rate, there was no way she wouldn't be discovered. He considered helping her, but the moment Fu Ya saw him move, she thought he was coming after her again. Ignoring her sore, limp body, she bolted like a wisp of smoke and vanished without a trace.

Liu Ergou could only shake his head helplessly.

Watching her disappear, he was about to get some sleep when the rising sun reminded him that he still needed to practice the Body Cultivation Technique. So, Liu Ergou abandoned the idea of sleeping and began his cultivation.

His session ended an hour later.

After cultivating, Liu Ergou was full of vigor. He didn't look at all like someone who had been up all night. He checked the time and saw it was only seven o'clock. The villa was completely silent. He knew Fu Yan wasn't up yet, so he would have to wait a little longer.

About half an hour later, Fu Yan's voice drifted up from downstairs.

"Yuehong, go call Ergou down for breakfast!"

Zhang Yuehong responded with a soft hum.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on Liu Ergou's door. Before Zhang Yuehong could say a word, Liu Ergou had already opened it and walked right past her without a glance.

Watching him ignore her, Zhang Yuehong scowled and muttered, "Hmph! A country bumpkin with no etiquette. Can't even offer a simple greeting!"

She followed him to the dining room, where all four of them soon took their seats.

Fu Yan sat at the head of the table. He personally stood up to ladle a bowl of porridge for Liu Ergou.

Then, smiling, he asked, "Ergou, how did you rest last night? Did you have trouble sleeping in a new place?"

Asked this by Fu Yan, Liu Ergou couldn't help but recall the wild night he'd had with Fu Ya. He got lost in the memory and spaced out for a long moment, failing to respond.

Seeing Liu Ergou's dazed silence, Zhang Yuehong snorted coldly.

"Hmph, such poor manners! He doesn't even know how to reply when spoken to; he just zones out. I don't think you're just a country bumpkin. Calling you a complete idiot would be more accurate!"
