Chapter 98 Fu Ya's Night Raid
Looking at Fu Yan, who was passed out on the table, Liu Ergou couldn't help but rub his temples. "Goodness, this guy can really hold his liquor. I nearly lost to him!"
As he spoke, he helped Fu Yan up and started walking him toward his bedroom. While walking, he muttered, "Hmph, Liu Jingming, you old geezer. Let's see what you've got to compete with me! You even dared to embezzle funds from the higher-ups. Someone will come down to deal with you, just you wait! I'd love to see what you amount to without your position as village chief!"
By the time he finished speaking, Liu Ergou had already brought Fu Yan to his bedroom door. He stretched out a hand and knocked gently. The door opened quickly, and Zhang Yuehong appeared. Seeing her, Liu Ergou said immediately, "He's had too much to drink. I helped him back."
With that, Liu Ergou handed Fu Yan over to Zhang Yuehong and turned to leave. But just as he took a step, he froze. Since arriving, he'd been so busy treating Fu Yan's illness that he'd completely forgotten to arrange a guest room for himself. Now, where he was going to stay had become a major problem. I can't just head out in the middle of the night. Even if I did, there's nowhere to stay.
Zhang Yuehong noticed Liu Ergou's predicament. She quickly helped Fu Yan into the room, then came back out. "You're Er Gou, right?" she asked. "Follow me. I'll take you to your room for the night."
Zhang Yuehong led the way, with Liu Ergou following close behind. As he walked, he found himself staring at her swaying hips, his eyes practically glued to the sight. Although the view was excellent, they soon arrived at the guest room. Zhang Yuehong pushed the door open and said, "Er Gou, you can stay here tonight."
Liu Ergou nodded and turned to go inside, but Zhang Yuehong stopped him just as he took a step. "Wait a moment, Er Gou. I have something to tell you."
Puzzled, Liu Ergou turned to look at her. Zhang Yuehong said, "Everything in this room is brand new, so you need to be careful with it, understood? Don't get anything dirty! If you do, it will have to be sent to the dry cleaner's. Do you have any idea how much that costs? So, you'd better be careful!"
Liu Ergou's smile vanished, and his expression darkened at her words. He knew perfectly well what this meant—Zhang Yuehong was looking down on him. Otherwise, she would never have said such things. "I understand," he replied coldly.
Then, ignoring Zhang Yuehong's reaction, he went straight into his room and slammed the door. The loud BANG left Zhang Yuehong's ears ringing. Staring at the closed door, she couldn't help but snort. "Hmph! So ungrateful!" she muttered, then sashayed back to her own room, hips swinging.
Meanwhile, Liu Ergou lay on the bed, seething over what Zhang Yuehong had said. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. Before long, he drifted off into a troubled sleep.
About an hour after Liu Ergou had fallen asleep, a shadowy figure suddenly peered out from another room. After scanning the surroundings, the person stepped out cautiously and went straight to Liu Ergou's door. The figure carefully tried the handle, found it unlocked, and quickly slipped inside the room.
Once inside, the figure's eyes lit up at the sight of Liu Ergou sleeping on the bed. They crept cautiously toward him. Watching the sleeping man, the figure could no longer hold back and slowly reached out, intending to stroke his face.
However, just as their hand drew near, the supposedly sleeping Liu Ergou's eyes snapped open. He shot out a hand and grabbed the intruder's wrist, shouting coldly, "Who's there!"
A familiar voice replied, "Er Gou, it's me!"
Hearing the familiar voice, Liu Ergou couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "Fu Ya? What are you doing in my room so late at night?"
As he spoke, Liu Ergou switched on the bedside lamp. Bathed in the soft light was Fu Ya, her face flushed red, wearing nothing but a thin nightgown.
"Um, it's nothing..." Fu Ya stammered, "I just... I just came to... to check on you, Er Gou." By the time she finished, her voice was barely louder than a mosquito's buzz.
If it weren't for the enhanced hearing he'd gained from his body cultivation techniques, he might not have heard her at all.
Of course, having heard her clearly, Liu Ergou didn't believe such a lame excuse for a second. Of all the times to visit, she chooses the middle of the night? And dressed in such a thin nightgown? Does she really take me for a fool?
At this thought, Liu Ergou gave a wicked grin and tightened his grip on her hand. The next second, with a sudden tug, he pulled her straight into his embrace.
Fu Ya, who was already blushing, turned an even deeper shade of crimson. Her tender cheeks felt like they were on fire, turning redder than a stoplight.
"Fu Ya, do you really think I'd believe that?" Liu Ergou said with a smile, looking down at the woman in his arms.
Hearing this, Fu Ya knew he'd seen right through her. Dropping all pretense, she immediately turned the tables. She tilted her head up and planted a loud kiss right on his cheek. Then she declared, her confidence restored, "Believe it or not, I only came to see you. But now, I've changed my mind! I don't just want to *see* you, I'm going to eat you all up! I suggest you behave and surrender, little brother, or don't blame your big sister for being rough!"
Liu Ergou was stunned for a moment before bursting into laughter. "What? You want to eat *me* all up, Sister Fu Ya? Are you kidding me? I think you've got that backward. It's obvious that *I* should be the one eating *you* all up!"
A smile crept onto Fu Ya's lips as she looked at him. "You don't believe me, do you, little brother? If you don't, you're welcome to test whether this sister can eat you all up. Just don't come crying to me when I'm done with you, because it won't do you any good!"
