After hearing Liu Ergou's words, Lu Shuangyue did not speak immediately; instead, she stared intently into his eyes. She stared until Liu Ergou's scalp began to tingle. Only then did she withdraw her gaze.

Han Jiajia, who had been in mid-sentence, was so startled by being called "Officer Han" that her soul nearly flew out of her body. She immediately whipped her head around to look at Liu Ergou.

Before Han Jiajia could speak, the heavily made-up woman beside her questioned her.
