Doctor and His Glamorous Sister-in-Law

The stench was so overpowering that Lu Xiaoyu couldn't help but gag.

"BLECH!"

"What on earth is that smell?" Lu Xiaoyu demanded irritably. "It's alcohol mixed with something else, and it's just so..."

She trailed off, suddenly shutting her mouth. She remembered how, when she was home alone, she would drink out of boredom. Once, she'd spilled an entire glass of alcohol on the carpet and then frequently walked barefoot over the spot. Even though her feet didn't smell, bacteria must have festered in the carpet. Over time, that would naturally create a foul odor.

At that realization, her composure completely shattered.

This is so embarrassing!

Liu Ergou, however, was clueless. "Never mind the smell," he said. "I don't know about anything else, but I do know you can't stay in these clothes."

"What do you plan to do?"

Hearing this, Lu Xiaoyu glanced down at her sprained ankle, then at her own stinking clothes. Finally, she sighed and said, "I can't take a shower right now. Just take me back to the bedroom. I'll wipe myself down with wet wipes."

"Then find me a change of clothes. That'll have to do."

Liu Ergou had no objections and carried her back to the bedroom. Once there, he began searching for the wardrobe. But after looking all around, he couldn't find anywhere in the spacious bedroom that looked like it held clothes, making him scratch his head in frustration.

Seeing his bewildered expression, Lu Xiaoyu couldn't help but laugh.

"Haha, Liu Ergou, you're so dense!"

"Why are you looking for clothes in the bedroom? Are you stupid? You're supposed to look in the walk-in closet!"

Hearing the term "walk-in closet," a puzzled look appeared on Liu Ergou's face.

"A 'walk-in closet'? You don't mean a wardrobe?"

Seeing his clueless expression, Lu Xiaoyu, for once, didn't mock him. Instead, she explained patiently, "Well, normal people have wardrobes, sure. But I have a walk-in closet, and it's filled with all my clothes."

At this, Liu Ergou's face registered his shock.

"You mean an entire room... just for clothes?"

Lu Xiaoyu nodded.

"That's right. Besides my clothes, there are some other little things in there too, but we don't need to get into that."

Hearing this, Liu Ergou couldn't help but marvel inwardly. Rich people really are on another level. Even their clothes get a private room! Tsk!

Following Lu Xiaoyu's directions, Liu Ergou found the walk-in closet. The moment he stepped inside, he froze.

The first thing he saw was a massive shoe rack displaying every kind of footwear imaginable, from sneakers to high heels. Deeper inside stood a vanity covered in all sorts of cosmetics. Even though Liu Ergou didn't recognize any of them, he knew they had to be expensive. And at the very back of the room were the clothes. They were meticulously organized, arranged by color from light to dark in a way that was surprisingly pleasing to the eye.

Liu Ergou, however, was in no mood to appreciate the aesthetics. He strode to the back, gave the racks a cursory glance, and hastily grabbed a few items before beating a retreat.

The styles were just too bold; the sight of them was making his head spin. He didn't dare linger.

Leaving the walk-in closet, Liu Ergou tossed the clothes onto the bed for Lu Xiaoyu. He turned to leave and give her some privacy to change. But before he could even take a step, Lu Xiaoyu spoke up irritably, "Liu Ergou. Think carefully. Did you forget something?"

Hearing this, he turned around and scratched his head.

"Forget something? What could I have possibly forgotten? I got your clothes!"

Seeing his indignant expression, Lu Xiaoyu couldn't help but sigh. Forget it, she thought, no point getting worked up over him.

"My underwear!" she said. "You didn't get my underwear!"

He looked puzzled. "Aren't you just changing your outer clothes? Why do you need to change your underwear, too?"

His question nearly made Lu Xiaoyu cough up blood.

"Aaargh! Who only changes their outer clothes?! Go get my underwear! It's right next to where the other clothes were! Hurry up!"

Faced with a Lu Xiaoyu who looked like a little tigress, Liu Ergou could only shrug helplessly and head back into the walk-in closet.

Following her instructions, he found the drawers where she kept her underwear. When he saw the contents, he was completely stunned. He never imagined one person could own so many different styles of underwear, without a single duplicate among them. She could wear a different set every day for a year and never repeat.

Seriously... Liu Ergou was at a loss for words.

Staring at a collection that could rival a department store's, his interest was suddenly piqued. He began to examine the lingerie before him. After looking them over, his gaze finally settled on a pure white set. It was made of a gossamer-like gauze, designed to be skin-tight and incredibly sheer. Wearing it would be like wearing nothing at all.

With that thought, he picked up the set and walked out. He tossed the lingerie to Lu Xiaoyu.

"Here you go!"

"I'm leaving now!"

Without another moment's hesitation, he turned to leave again.

But Lu Xiaoyu, sitting on the bed, flushed beet red as she looked at the set he had thrown to her. Although it was hers, she had only bought it for her collection; she'd never actually intended to wear it. She had assumed it would sit in her walk-in closet forever. She never expected Liu Ergou to be the one to bring it out.

Staring at the lingerie, Lu Xiaoyu felt truly stuck for the first time in her life.

Finally, with a sigh of resignation, she prepared to take off her dirty clothes and change. However, the moment she moved, a sharp pain shot through her ankle, immobilizing her.

Helpless, her eyes landed on Liu Ergou once more.

"Uh, Liu Ergou, wait a second!"

At this point, Liu Ergou already had one foot out the bedroom door. Hearing her call, he turned back again.

"What is it now, Your Highness?" he asked, his face a mask of utter resignation.

Seeing his hopeless expression, Lu Xiaoyu bristled.

"Aaargh! Liu Ergou, what's with that face?! Do you find me that annoying?!"
