The two were at a standoff for quite a while, with neither showing any intention of backing down.

With a flushed face, she urged again, "Oh, come on, this is no time for games! Hurry up and get out, I can't hold it in much longer!"

To Liu Yunxi's utter astonishment, Liu Ergou's nerve was thicker than a city wall. Any normal person would have left after hearing that.

She quickly demanded, "Er Gou, what are you doing with those tissues?"

Liu Ergou simply smiled and said nothing. His grin made the bad feeling in her heart grow even stronger.

"Don't scare me! Say something! Hurry up and tell me what you're planning to do!"

Despite her desperate questions, Liu Ergou remained silent.

Finally, under Liu Yunxi's horrified gaze, he reached out with the tissue, moving it towards the space between her legs.

Watching her bashful, angry expression, Liu Ergou finally burst into loud laughter.

Seizing the opportunity, Liu Yunxi quickly wiped herself, pulled up her pants, and started limping towards the door, pointedly ignoring him.

Seeing this, Liu Ergou scurried after her, scooped her up in a princess carry, and brought her back to her room.

By now, Liu Yunxi's face was as red as it could possibly be. As Liu Ergou carried her, she buried her face deep in his chest, not daring to look at him for a second. The moment he placed her on the bed, she scrambled to pull the quilt over her head, hiding completely.

Liu Ergou wasn't angry at all. He just chuckled, teased her a few more times, and then turned to leave, heading for his own home. After all, he'd bought several outfits for his sister-in-law and was eager to see how they looked on her.

Not even three minutes after Liu Ergou left, Liu Yunxi, who had been hiding under the covers, cautiously poked her head out. She glanced in the direction he had gone and let out a small snort. Then, as if remembering something, her face turned crimson again, and she burrowed back under the covers, remaining silent.

By now, Liu Ergou had hurried back to his house. He burst through the door and impatiently shouted, "Sister-in-law! Sister-in-law! What are you busy with? Stop what you're doing, I have something to tell you!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Xu Yulan rushed out of the kitchen, still wearing her apron. Seeing Liu Ergou, she immediately asked, "What is it, Ergou? Is something urgent?"

Hearing his sister-in-law's question, Liu Ergou proudly held up the clothes in his hands. "Look, Sister-in-law! I bought you new clothes! But I don't know if they'll fit. Hurry and try them on! Please, Sister-in-law!"

However, Xu Yulan didn't agree right away. She just stared at the clothes in his hands and fell silent. She was quiet for so long that Liu Ergou started to get anxious.
