Doctor and His Glamorous Sister-in-Law

Just as Xu Yulan was taking off her clothes, Liu Ergou caught sight of the garment she was wearing. He was completely dumbstruck. The piece of clothing Xu Yulan had on was several years old; she hadn't bought anything new in at least five or six years.

Hearing his sister-in-law's words, Liu Ergou didn't say anything, merely letting out a deep sigh that made him look utterly pitiful. This made Xu Yulan's heart soften. She stepped forward and gave him a gentle kiss.

"Alright, alright, don't be so dejected this early in the morning. Cheer up! Did you hear me?"

After being kissed by Xu Yulan, Liu Ergou finally snapped out of his despondent state. He gave her a sheepish grin, nodded, and began to eat his breakfast heartily. In just a few minutes, he had finished and began to tell his sister-in-law about his plans for the day.

"Sister-in-law, I'm going to see Liu Yunxi later. I'll check if there's anything else he needs me to do, since we're still in the soil-testing phase and there's a lot to handle. If I don't come back, just have dinner on your own."

Xu Yulan nodded in understanding. Seeing his sister-in-law's obedient demeanor, Liu Ergou's heart ached for her. When he was gone, she had to manage everything, inside and outside the house, all by herself.

It's hard to imagine what this home would be like if she weren't here.

After exchanging a few more words with Xu Yulan, Liu Ergou turned and left, heading straight for Liu Yunxi's place.

Shortly after, he arrived. Standing outside Liu Yunxi's house, Liu Ergou shouted at the top of his lungs.

"Yunxi! Yunxi! It's Liu Ergou, I'm here! Could you please open the door?"

However, even after he shouted three or four times, the yard remained completely silent. There was no sign of movement at all. Liu Ergou began to grow anxious. What's going on with Liu Yunxi? Why isn't there any response? I hope nothing has happened to him.
