Hearing the director's words, Liu Ergou raised his eyebrows in surprise. He hadn't expected the director to actually be aware of the situation.

The director's eyes lit up. He agreed immediately, afraid that if he delayed, Liu Ergou might change his mind. "No problem, interns are great!" the director said, his face beaming. "They're fresh out of school, so they're easy to deal with!"
Liu Ergou nodded and then pointed at Qian Xiaoling. "As for Qian Xiaoling, you should know what to do, right?"
The director wasn't a fool; he understood what Liu Ergou meant and nodded at once. "Don't worry, I know what to do! She'll be a chief physician as soon as she starts. Her qualifications are more than sufficient!"
After hearing all this, Liu Ergou finally gave a satisfied nod. "Alright, that's all. You can go. I'll come by to make my selection once work starts."
As if a great burden had been lifted, the director scrambled up from the floor. He picked up his clothes, dressed hastily, and fled the office without a backward glance. After the director left, Liu Ergou and Qian Xiaoling shared a tender moment before parting ways.

During these five days, Liu Ergou had already chosen a nurse for the Fengzhu Village clinic from among the interns. She was a very shy young woman, plain in appearance, but her fundamental skills were solid, which was what caught his eye.
Then there was Qian Xiaoling. Just as the director had promised, he announced her promotion to chief physician on her first day. One day, Liu Ergou was lying alone in his room. Fu Ya and Zhang Yuehong had already left for work, so he was bored as usual. Overwhelmed by the monotony, he lay on the bed, staring into space for a long time before finally remembering something he ought to do.
It had been five days since he had last checked on Qian Xiaoling at the hospital. Today's a good day to go see her.
With that decision made, Liu Ergou got up from bed, changed his clothes, and headed straight for the hospital.
He soon arrived. By now, Qian Xiaoling had her own office and no longer had to squeeze into the staff lounge. Of course, finding her office took Liu Ergou some effort, but he managed it in the end.
Pushing open the door, Liu Ergou walked into the empty office. He took a stroll around the room and couldn't help but nod in approval. This office is quite nice. Not only is it bright and sunny, but it's also fully equipped. That director really put some effort into it.

Watching Qian Xiaoling resting with her eyes closed, Liu Ergou smiled and tiptoed behind her. He reached out and placed his hands on her temples.
The sudden touch startled her, and she shot up from the chair. "Who's there?!" she cried out, spinning around.
When she saw it was Liu Ergou, she let out a long sigh of relief and slumped back into her chair. "Oh, you scared me to death! You're terrible!" she complained.
Hearing her words, Liu Ergou just chuckled and began to massage her head. His technique was, of course, no ordinary one. After just a few moments, Qian Xiaoling felt her fatigue melt away.
Before he could continue, she reached up and wrapped her arms around his neck. "What made you suddenly think of coming to see me, Er Gou?" she asked, leaning in for a kiss.
However, their position was awkward, and her kiss missed its mark. But Liu Ergou smoothly pulled her into his lap so they sat together in the large office chair.
"Of course I missed you, that's why I came!" he said with a grin, holding her close. At the same time, his hands began to wander, slipping under her clothes.
This sent Qian Xiaoling into a fit of giggles. "Ah, you're so naughty! The moment you see me, this is all you think about!"
Although she was scolding him, her body was very cooperative. Within minutes, their gazes grew tender and filled with desire, and they were on the verge of taking things further.
