Chapter 435: Who's the Coward
Huh? Vice principal?
Old Liu's ultimate goal.
"Who cares, like it matters." Jiang Nian walks ahead, "Just a pure busybody, are students his responsibility?"
Class three's running team has turned another lap.
"Where's Jiang Nian?" Li Hua pants heavily, eyes wide open, "That damn idiot, why isn't he waiting by the track?"
"Forget about Jiang Nian, the guy's already gone!" Ma Guojun curses, out of breath, "Damn it! Why hasn't he stopped?"
"I hope we don't start on the fifth lap..."
"Damn, isn't that Jiang Nian?" someone shouts, "Damn it, why does he run off without his bros?"
"The first lesson for people from Zhennan should be righteousness."
"Damn, who's that girl next to him?" Li Hua, sharp-eyed and habitually jealous, "Sheesh, even running laps he can flirt?"
In the team, Zhang Ningzhi couldn't help but press her lips together upon hearing that.
She actually wanted to look but as soon as she raised her head, she got blocked by the bulky crowd piled at the edge of the track.
Ugh, not happy.
During the fourth lap, Chen Yunyun dragged Wang Yuhe aside and walked slowly along the plastic track.
Many people were slacking like this, forming quite a large group.
Chaos, everything's chaotic, the entire athletic field turned into a mess.
Grade twelve students are the most rebellious, mostly they follow rules. When faced with ridiculous situations, they absolutely won't put up with it.
Still running?
I'll drop dead right here!
At the exit.
A student union officer glanced at him expressionlessly, raising a hand to block Jiang Nian.
"No exit here."
"I'm from Science Zero Class, this is my classmate with asthma." Jiang Nian pointed at Xu Shuang, who was utterly confused.
Asthma? Me?
Xu Shuang was stunned, her mind racing about what reaction she should make.
In fact, this dumbfounded look naturally fell into the category of post-asthma state in the eyes of the student union people.
After all, they've never seen it before, what if?
The student union at prestigious high schools is fairly straightforward—it's all about working hard and self-development.
Grade twelve people are all busy, getting crazier with each step. There's nothing much to manage, just check classes and maintain daily order.
Tools, plus security guards.
"Alright, go ahead." A few from the student union made way, blocking off those behind, "No exit here."
....
Xu Shuang left the athletic field completely dazed.
"What's happening with the running team!"
The broadcast carried the voice of a leader scolding.
"Those walking over there, which class are they're from? For now, we'll run this lap; tomorrow...If tomorrow's not good again..."
Xu Shuang glanced back, quickly walking a couple of steps to catch up to Jiang Nian.
"Looks like they've stopped."
"The exercise intensity is nearly as much as a physical test." Jiang Nian sneered, disdainfully, "A few deaths should shut them right up."
"Hm." Xu Shuang turned her head to look at him, unable to resist asking, "How did I become asthmatic?"
"Just made it up."
Xu Shuang originally wanted an excuse to ask him about the card drawing thing but after hearing Jiang Nian's response, she suddenly had nothing to say.
The two parted ways at the twelfth-grade building, Xu Shuang went upstairs.
Jiang Nian headed towards the office, originally just wanting to see if Qingbao was there, chatting casually.
Who knew he'd get called over and had to head another way.
"You escaped again?" Old Liu stood somewhat speechless at the office door, "We haven't dispersed yet, where's our class team?"
"Teacher, didn't you escape too?"
Normally, the class teacher should be present during running.
But Old Liu has many roles, heavy responsibilities. More importantly, he likes to show off, so he lets go completely.
"Isn't that different?" Old Liu pointed at him, then glanced toward the track, "Whatever, tell me what's happening over there?"
In the office, Jiang Nian wrapped up in a few sentences.
The tea on the table remained untouched, didn't want to drink.
Some urgency.
Jiang Nian just wanted to chat with Qingbao, not discuss leader gossip with a middle-aged man. Could you please let me go?
"Oh, that's really something." Old Liu almost couldn't contain his smile, "If it were me, I'd definitely handle it...like this."
Damn, dreaming again.
(Husky refers to people) Old Liu, you're really something, check your head for any telltale bones.
"Teacher, is the bio teacher here?" Jiang Nian asked, casually fiddling with the cute little ornament on his desk.
Old guy knows nothing about ornaments, definitely his wife's pick.
"Not her class this morning, what do you need her for?" Old Liu asked, "If it's a study-related issue, I can ask for you."
No need, Jiang Nian already has Qingbao's WeChat.
Though usually, there's nothing much, they pretty much meet every day. If there's a problem, just go to the office, so they haven't chatted.
But through Old Liu's channel, it's not completely pointless. It represents a sort of status, the prestige of an Inner Sect Disciple.
"No rush, I'd rather wait till the afternoon." Jiang Nian stood up, glancing down, "Oh teacher, this on your desk..."
Leaving the office.
Jiang Nian got called over again, this time by Qianbao who's about to clock out.
"Hey, what's that in your hand?"
The older woman took two steps over, eyed the small ornament in his hand. Without any reservations, she started playing with it.
"Pretty nice, where's it from?"
"Homeroom teacher gave it, if you like it, take it." Jiang Nian wore a face like he was swallowing grievance.
"I have to say, I'm kind of..." Qianbao laughed.
"Then take it." Jiang Nian stunned.
"Just joking, don't want you complaining about me later." Qianbao returned the ornament, waved him off, turning away.
"Bye-bye, I'm off for driving practice."
Jiang Nian has no feelings about driving practice, the coach will handle it for him. He doesn't need to go, just wait for the test next week and get his license.
All accounted, he might get the license by the end of the month at the fastest.
By this time, the runners had returned.
