Divine Luck: SSS-Rank Battle Maid Harem

Chapter 618: End Of The Road

Zach looked forward with an excited expression. They had spent several weeks riding through the tunnel. The Order of Vatar had walked. Other than the spars between the Yanael, Lahso, the other familiars, and whoever wanted to fight and stave off the boredom, it had been an uneventful trip.

But now, they could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Literally. Far ahead of them, the end of the tunnel gradually came into view.

Zach glanced at the Millipede he and the others were riding on. He glanced at the other monstrous familiars.

Summoning wasn't as prevalent on Kuros as it was on Gjula. They would end up attracting attention wherever they went.

Zach had asked Frida just because he was curious about the community of summoning on Kuros. But for some reason, it just wasn't as popular as it was on Gjula. It wasn't even that it interfered with divine energy or belief in gods.

However, Frida's theory was that it was a solution that wasn't faith. The gods couldn't control the summoning interface. But it gave people the power to solve their problems without needing to believe in and borrow the power of gods.

It was a competitor for the attention of the common people, which the gods desperately wanted. And since summoning was a rare talent in the first place, it just couldn't become popular on Kuros the same way it was on Gjula.

Zach found that theory reasonable.

He had a feeling that it wasn't just that.

The principal was responsible for the status of summoning in the Empire. Without him, summoning would have never become such a famous and well-established practice.

Fortunately for the rest of the world, he was a unique existence. Someone like him didn't appear twice. The Kuros didn't have someone like him, now or in the past. So, summoning had never had a herald the same way the power of faith had.

But it only made Zach all the more excited.

They would, first of all, garner attention wherever they went. It was thanks to an unpopular path. They had a bunch of beauties and handsome men in their group.

It was a deadly combo, and Zach was the finisher.

They would have no trouble finding trouble on Kuros. As they overcame that and continued wreaking havoc, they would spread the good word of summoning and inspire more people to seek the same path as them.

Of course, there was a risk that he would antagonize the various Orders of Kuros, but he would end up doing that whatever he did. It was part of his plan, after all.

Frida looked at Zach, who could barely sit still as the end of the tunnel approached.

She had seen him and his familiars spar over the last couple of weeks. She could tell that they hadn't gone all out, not even when she urged her paladin to fight them and push them as hard as he could.

But the force they showed…It was almost as scary as the growth they had shown. In just a few weeks, all of them had become stronger.

She couldn't tell if it was an innate property of summoning and familiars, since it wasn't just Zach's familiars. The other familiars also grew noticeably stronger. But Lahso, who wasn't a familiar, also became noticeably more powerful.

Maybe it was just that their distant neighbors on Gjula were innately talented.

Frida turned back to the tunnel's exit with a tense gaze.

She knew that she would make this decision again regardless of what happened in the future.

Violina's talent when it came to ice and the powers of her familiars were too great. She had to become a part of their Order.

But she couldn't help but wonder if she had brought back something worse than she could have ever expected from the continent of Gjula. She could tell from how Zach and the others had been so far.

Peace was good.

That didn't mean they didn't mind or dislike war.

Of course, Frida was still fully confident in the power of her continent.

Even if Zach and the others could fight her, her paladin, and Bartuk and emerge victorious, there were still powerful orders and Apostles en masse on Kuros. The moment they stirred up trouble would be the moment they reached the end of their journey.

Frida comforted herself, but for some reason, she couldn't get rid of the unnerving feeling.

But that could also just be Anerias' glare. As the journey steadily reached its end, his hostility had only risen.

The only time he didn't look at Violina with big eyes full of affection was when he glared at the Order of Vatar for separating the two.

He was the only one Frida hadn't talked to during the trip. She had even talked to his familiars, at least the cute ones. The red man wasn't very cute and seemed dangerous, so she hadn't gone near him.

She couldn't wait to tear him off of Violina and kick him to the side while they shipped away Violina to icy paradise.

The silence grew tense as they approached. The only sounds were the Millipede's thousand feet clicking against the stone floor of the tunnel and the shuffling sounds of the Order's followers walking by its side. Anticipation, mostly from the Gjula group's side, continued rising exponentially.

Finally, they were at the entrance and the light flooding the tunnel. To the ones who had spent weeks in the tunnel's darkness, it was blinding. But most were extraordinary and soon adapted to the light.

They could see the people wearing different colors very clearly.

A few different groups similar to the Orders of Vatar and Mistra but wearing other colors.

Clearly, they were from other Orders.

Zach leaned down toward Frida.

"Psst. You know these guys?" He asked subtly.

Frida held back a sigh as she scanned the faces of the crowd.

"Some of them."

"In a good way?"

"Not in these circumstances."
