Dimensional Tycoon: I Make Trillions in Every World

Chapter 108: Mana

As if to answer her question, Noa's calm gaze moved in her direction, eyeing her for a moment, as if thinking about what to do with her.

Then he blinked. "I have a final room for you to see."

Mo Yuhua had questions.

Of course, she wanted to know more about the room Noa was talking about. Something in her said that she shouldn't ask what it was.

Yet, there was a part of her that couldn't stay still.

"Room?" she repeated without actually deciding what to do. "What's in there?"

Fear didn't disappear from her mind.

She still revered and respected Noa from the bottom of her heart.

Yet, after getting to know him, she understood there was a deep warmth hidden behind his persona.

Yes, he was ultimately a being she couldn't even dare to comprehend, but she got a feeling that Noa would never punish her for such an innocent question.

Thankfully, her gut feeling turned out to be true.

Not only did Noa not punish her, but he even smiled faintly, showering her with a silent calmness.

Then he neared the door and gestured for her to follow.

"Let me show you the room I am talking about," he said, opened the door, and waited for others to join him.

Though Mo Yuhua and her guards were the first ones to move, someone moved even faster than them, reaching Noa before the rest.

Who could it be if not Yun Qiqi?

After hearing that Noa was about to leave the room, she swiftly searched for her shoes and put them on her feet.

The rest was history.

"I want to see as well," she announced, standing proudly in front of Noa.

He, however, only pinched her cheeks.

Moments later, led by Mo Yuhua, others joined him, too. Ahead, there was a misty scene hidden within the room Noa opened the door for. Seeing what was inside was a challenge.

Even for the woman whose perception had sharpened considerably, the fog was too thick for her vision to penetrate.

Still, she wasn't that hopeless.

Mo Yuhua might not have seen what lay in the room, but she saw how rich and pure the qi was inside.

It had a mix of ancient and familiar qi arrays.

Some formations felt so old that she struggled to guess their origin.

However, there was more waiting for her.

Qi was potent and chaotic, yes, but it wasn't the only source of energy that stirred into the world. Much like qi, it also shaped everything around it.

Their chaotic nature had some similarities as well, but mana was still a foreign concept she couldn't really explain.

Just then—

As if he could read her like a book, Noa spoke, his voice devoid of any signs of mockery.

"Go inside. I know you want to see what's up ahead."

Mo Yuhua gulped.

The energy she saw forced her eyes to squint to the limit. Her concentration? It felt so strong that nothing could break it.

Even her breathing quickened, her mind racing with interest.

As someone who loved collecting mysterious relics and studying the history of this world, mana was a completely new discovery she didn't know what to do with.

Thinking that range was the problem, and it made her identification job difficult, she nodded.

Then, she took Noa up on his offer and stepped into the room.

Immediately, the world around her began spinning, her senses overloaded by the sheer amount of details her eyes managed to see.

Still, all of it paled compared to the reality she remained blind to.

There was so much more even her superior eyes couldn't see, and she was painfully aware of it.

Her brain.

It had to digest information and offer her reasonable explanations.

Some said that brains were the strongest and toughest machines, capable of handling five different sensory details at the same time.

What's more, in most cases, it happened naturally, without any complications.

But now, it wasn't even close.

Qi formations felt closer than before—their pressure was enough to strain her eyes. It also bore patterns that glowed with all seven elements, encompassing the entire realm Noa had brought her into.

The Binding Room had specially designated spots for spirit beasts.

Mo Yuhua couldn't exactly decipher how it worked, but based on the amount of pure qi that flowed through these patterns, she guessed this chamber could help beasts evolve.

If she had heard from someone that they had such an amazing establishment, she would doubt it instantly.

But seeing it before her own eyes, she knew everything became possible as long as Noa got involved.

Her mind darted occasionally.

She thought of possibilities Noa could influence, change, help, or even destroy Ligma.

The most terrifying part was that she truly believed Noa could do all the above with nothing more than a flick of his finger, perhaps even at a lower cost.

Footsteps snapped Mo Yuhua out of her daze.

She quickly glanced back and saw Noa, followed by the little girl and two young beauties.

They all moved slowly.

Compared to her and her guards, none of them studied this place with the same curiosity.

All they showed was recognition.

Like it was just a random room they could visit and use anytime.

She spent ten quiet seconds studying Noa's expression, waiting for him to show any subtle hints to help her identify a thing or two about this realm.

His face offered nothing.

'She likes it,' Noa thought meanwhile, looking at Mo Yuhua as she went deep into a thinking mode. 'I knew her eyes would find The Binding Room interesting.'

But qi wasn't the only thing that piqued her interest.

She had noticed mana from the outside, and even after observing it up close, she still couldn't tell what it was.

A form of energy was too vague an explanation for a woman of her standing to accept.

She wanted to know more—her senses heightening even more.

There was a reason Noa brought her here, at least that was what she believed. After all, just evolving her spirit beast felt too simple.

So she didn't stop and moved through the chamber to find where the mana was coming from.

Her eyes struggled to see it as clearly as she could do it with qi.

However, there was a trace of energy found in one particular location, where mana flowed like an eternal river.

Of course, it was a cocoon where Umbu had nested before.

Mana had covered his spot entirely, mixing with qi to create an even stronger and chaotic source of power.

Instead of being spent and exhausting itself, mana potency increased by the second.

It arrived quicker and quicker, causing Mo Yuhua's interest to grow as well.

Just then, she remembered something.

This energy.

She had seen it before, faintly, barely noticeable, but she was certain that Noa had shown her mana somewhere before.

After that, her memory stirred, trailing back to everything that had happened to her in a single day.

It all started by spotting a new store on a street she frequently visited.

She met Noa, used his product, and almost died because of her greed.

But there was something she had noticed in between, something that birthed her first interest as soon as she saw Noa.

Suddenly, her brain decided to work itself to the limit.

That's when she remembered what this room was for and found an image of Umbu sitting on Noa's shoulders.

The dragon.

A tiny creature with a big belly fat that looked nothing like a mythical creature from myths.

It was only a hatchling, and its strength was lower than a newborn human.

But there was something that distinguished him from other spirit beasts she had seen her entire lifetime.

The answer was mana.

Yes, qi moved in his direction like an obedient child, but there was something more to him.

Mana, the foreign energy that didn't exist in this world, obeyed the little dragon just like qi did, strengthening his body and soul from outside.

It was a huge discovery, opening countless possibilities for cultivators and their bonded creatures.

If people under Noa's command were the first ones to learn how to utilize this energy, they would easily overtake the biggest powerhouses Ligma had to offer.

People who used qi were called cultivators.

They harvested energy from nature or external forces and harnessed it to strengthen themselves.

Then what about beings who controlled mana?

What would they be called, and how could they ascend to power?

Could they even reach immortality and shape the world the same way immortal practitioners could?

The questions were endless.

And Mo Yuhua wanted to ask all of them.

The woman's hands were shaking, her throat suddenly losing strength to utter even a single word.

Karma reached all the way to the Binding Room.

Though she didn't really go against the principles, her greed rose too quickly for Karma to let her be.

And just like that, every thought she had vanished instantly.

Even her eyes dimmed, stripping her of the ability to scan the world with an enhanced perception.

Thankfully, it was temporary.

Mo Yuhua would get her superior senses back, but before that, she had to control herself.

'What an amusing fellow,' Noa thought, noticing her condition. 'Even seeing mana was enough to trigger her thirst, forcing the store to make a move against her.'

It was a new finding for him as well.

"Mana," Noa said suddenly, offering the woman the name of the energy she wanted to learn so much about.

But instead of letting her do her thing, he blinked and added,

"Summon your beast. Time for you to leave is approaching."
