Chapter 417: Disciplinary.
Elena covered her fists with her life energy and the aura it oozed made the thrones and the ground cracked. She was frustrated and annoyed by the fact all her attacks were predicted by Lyneth and that she couldn't land a single hit. She didn't give in and kept trying because a single hit would be enough to stop Lyneth from toying with her.
Lyneth could see every movement that Elena was going to make based on Elena's instincts and thoughts. She could see them before Elena made a move, and that was why she managed to dodge them all.
"So this is what you would do to your mother if she decided to discipline you? Raising your fists on your mother without hesitation?" Lyneth asked as she moved her head to the side and dodged Elena's attack.
"Shut up! You're not my mother!" Elena shouted as she threw a back kick but she missed again.
Hearing those words from Elena's mouth made Lyneth angry and she decided to slap Elena's face quite hard. The slapping sound was so loud and it made Elena freeze in place as the stinging pain throbbed her cheek. It wasn't that painful, and although it wasn't her mother who did it, she couldn't help but imagine it was her.
"Your mother is the first woman that loves your father. Do you know how painful it was for her to know that the man she loves is sleeping with another woman?" Lyneth asked. "She sacrificed her feelings and kept them hidden from everyone, making sure her jealousy, her hatred, and anger didn't get the best of her?" She added.
"She did her best to deal with all the mess, never complained, and she tried so hard to get his acknowledgment. But she didn't get any reward because she didn't want to be an annoyance to him," Lyneth pointed out.
"She wanted to bind your father to her side. Something that only she could have, and that was you," Lyneth said. "She suffered for months, alone, dealing with the pain, but she was happy," she continued.
"When you were born, she held you so tightly, hoping for a simple life with her newborn baby. But, again, she was left alone because you're special, and she had to hide her disappointment, sadness, and loneliness," Lyneth pointed out and stared at Elena who was still frozen, listening to her.
"She never asked anything from you, and she hoped that you could understand her loneliness. But no, and the reason was because your mother was a nobody, a normal human being, an uninteresting person compared to your father. Overshadowed by his greatness that you only looked up to him," Lyneth frowned, hiding her pain.
"She endured it, didn't pry on the sacrifice she made. Ignoring the pain she had for months because she loved you the most and because your existence was the most precious thing in her life," Lyneth said as she clenched her fists. "She thought that everything would be okay to see her daughter grow up without her influence. She thought everything would be okay because her daughter would be as great as her father," she continued.
"But, the moment she saw you kissed the man he loved, her heart was broken into pieces. The worst part was when you threatened her to end your life, and that was when she knew that she could do nothing but accept it like always..." Lyneth's voice started to tremble.

"You know, your mother wished you all the best in life even if it meant for her to be broken. Have you ever thought of the amount of pain she's hiding? She wouldn't want you to think about it because you're her everything no matter what happened," Lyneth's eyes were covered in tears. "She never asked anything from you, and her only request for you is to understand her," she added.
"I'm sorry that I hit you..." Lyneth said as she wiped off the tears in her eyes. "I never thought it would be so painful to do that to you," she added and then left.
Elena was still standing and she was deep in thought, thinking about what Lyneth said. She had been so selfish all her life, getting everything she wanted as if she were the center of the universe.
She used her [Special Bond] skill and tried to find out the feelings that her mother had been hiding. When she managed to uncover the pain that her mother had been enduring, tears were falling to her chin. It was so painful to hear and listen to Lyneth's pain, and how she was always on the brink of collapsing emotionally.
"Mother..." Elena said quietly as she sobbed on the ground, wiping the tears that wouldn't stop coming out of her eyes.
A presence could be felt by Elena in front of her, and before she could see who it was, she was being hugged so tightly. The scent of her mother's perfume was so overwhelming and calming that all the guilt that she felt was slowly being lifted from her shoulders.
"I'm here, sweetheart..." Lyneth's other self said quietly as she hugged Elena.
Lyneth who watched them from another dimension was crying with a smile on her face. She was glad that she could help Lyneth from that timeline and there was nothing else she could do.
Lyneth came back and everyone looked at her with confused looks because the aura she was emitting was different than usual. She was smiling and she looked relaxed and happy at the same time.
"Looks like they managed to get deeper," Lyneth looked at the abyss. "Now that their bodies have gotten used to the abyss, do you think they can handle Aevia's power now?" She looked at Amaryllis.
"If they can make it out alive, then it's possible if I put the power little by little," Amaryllis answered. "But that's that. How about Elena? She needs to do the same thing since she's currently too weak to be able to convert Aevia's power into her own. Not to mention it took her eons to master her own power that can match Aevia's power," she pointed out.
"Elena is a special child. If we guide her and help her, she will be able to achieve it faster than we think. She's like Mykel, she's unpredictable," Lyneth answered and smiled gently.
Amaryllis was surprised to see Lyneth smile because it had been a while since Lyneth showed her smile. Something was off about her and everyone wondered what happened to her that she looked a bit refreshed.
"Sasha, I think it's time for you to get in there and help Jeanne and the others. They have done what they could do in there," Lyneth pointed out as she looked into the abyss.
Sasha nodded and then entered the abyss to check on them who struggled to survive in the sea of the abyss. She saw Jeanne and the others were in a state where they could no longer move their bodies as the abyss had surrounded them and slowly moved toward them.
She came in and pushed the abyss back from them, and the abyss which had its own consciousness was scared of her. The abyss moved away and that was when she saw Mykel in the abyss form, staring at her coldly. It was the first time she saw Mykel in that state, and it was quite unnerving when the only thing she could see was his glowing yellow eyes.
"You guys can leave. Follow the path that I made," Sasha pointed at the path she came from. "Your other selves are waiting outside because you're ready for the next step. It's time for me to help Mykel overcome his power," she added and kept staring at those terrifying glowing yellow eyes.
Everyone left after they recovered and didn't look back because they had enough of it.
Sasha looked at Mykel and then she transformed into an abyss just like him, and then she wrapped him with her limbs that had turned into pitch-black clouds. She entered his consciousness because the real Mykel was imprisoned deep inside just like back then.
She traveled and found the same place where there were bright purple crystals that stood tall and formed like mountains. Back then, there were countless souls trapped inside those crystals, but this time they were empty. When she reached her destination, she saw Mykel sitting on the throne made of the same material as the crystal, groped by the abyss around him.
"Stay away from him," Sasha's voice echoed throughout the whole abyss.
The abysses that were groping Mykel immediately got pushed away by an unknown force. Sasha then walked up the stairs and stood right in front of Mykel who was drained and unconscious. She put her hands on his cheeks, and her warmth was enough to wake him up.
"Good morning, sleepyhead," Sasha smiled as she looked at Mykel.
