Chapter 413: The clock.
Aevia tried to block and disperse the abyss that Sasha had released, but it was too strong for her to handle, and how the abyss was the one that devoured her power. She couldn't measure how strong Sasha's power was and the fact that she had a whole army just like her.
Sasha covered her body with the abyss and fought Aevia with everything she had. She was invincible even in the presence of Aevia, giving her the confidence and the determination to pay back for what Aevia did to everyone.
Aevia couldn't do anything because her power didn't affect Sasha at all, and it would be a waste of time and resources to fight her. She accepted her defeat by abandoning the timeline she lived in and moving to a different timeline that Sasha couldn't reach.
Sasha was disappointed and regretted that she didn't manage to devour Aevia and prevent her from running away. But, she knew that she could handle Aevia on her own, and she wouldn't make the same mistake again. After she devoured everything, she wondered if she should devour the clock or not.
She was standing in front of the clock, staring at it and hesitating to touch it.
"Don't even think about devouring it," Lyneth's voice could be heard from behind. "We know nothing about this object and how crucial it is that even Aevia depends on it," she continued.
"We really know nothing about this?" Sasha turned around to look at Lyneth and then she saw Amaryllis appearing behind Lyneth.
"I have a theory, and I don't want you to assume it's the truth," Amaryllis answered as she stared at the clock. "If we want to know about this clock, then the answer lies in Aevia's existence," she said as she touched the clock and didn't dare to do anything to it.
"Don't you find it weird? For an existence like Aevia, the omnipotent being beyond time and space have to rely on this object?" Amaryllis glanced at Sasha.
Sasha had that thought, but she never questioned it because the clock could be the instrument of Aevia's power. She thought that way, but when she thought about it again and after listening to Amaryllis's world about Aevia relying on the clock made her realize that it was weird.
"That's indeed weird. Aevia's power originate from the clock and she did rely on it to create the worlds," Sasha nodded in agreement. "Wait, are you saying that the one who's actually omnipotent isn't Aevia but this thing?" She furrowed her eyebrows and looked at Amaryllis.
"I don't know, but it's possible. The reason why I can't answer that question is because of this," Amaryllis looked around at the empty and vast whiteness. "If the clock is indeed the one who holds the power, why Aevia abandoned it as if it's like a piece of junk?" she asked.
The only one who could try and find the answer to that was Lyneth, but Lyneth's power couldn't uncover it with her current power. Time and space seemed eternal and everlasting, making it impossible to find the beginning as if there was none to begin with.
"Or, it could be that the clock was left behind because she knew that if we destroyed the clock, everything would be over for us. We will no longer exist because the clock is the one who might hold everyone's existence," Amaryllis explained with her arms crossed. "Powerful and powerless at the same time, it sounds like a perfect being that should rule everything," she pointed out.
Sasha thought about it and it felt like they had managed to uncover a very thin slice of the truth. She was curious if they would be able to unveil it because it was a knowledge that nobody could comprehend.
"We have no time to idle around. This matter isn't our priority, so let's keep moving," Lyneth said as she looked at both of them, uninterested in the theory.
Sasha nodded with understanding and then Lyneth brought them out of the whirlpool. She then watched as Lyneth manipulated the timeline and made a new whirlpool appear.
"I'm sorry for earlier," Lyneth looked at Sasha. "I didn't mean to read your thoughts and use it as I wanted," she apologized.
"You don't have to apologize because I know you're on the edge because you want to help Mykel and Elena," Sasha responded as she looked down. "Me too, but mine isn't as bad as yours because not only Mykel is the man you love, but there's also the daughter you treasure the most," she continued and looked at Lyneth.
Lyneth was glad that Sasha understood and genuinely had no hard feelings for what she did. She could only smile and nod to show gratitude for understanding her feelings.
"I'll take care of the new world. I haven't had my fill earlier," Sasha said and then left to enter the whirlpool.
After hundreds of whirlpools were devoured and destroyed, everyone was gathered to look at the new whirlpool in front of them. The whirlpool where The Lord existed in that place, and everyone was so eager to enter it and kill The Lord with their own hands. The problem was everyone wanted to do it, so Lyneth made the order and sent Luciel and her sisters first since they were a set like a meal. Another reason was because Luciel had a grudge against The Lord.
"I really want you to take your time, but we don't have time to waste. So do what you want, but do it quickly," Lyneth looked at Luciel and her sisters.
"It won't take long. We will do it as quickly as possible," Luciel answered and then went into the whirlpool with her sisters.
Luciel and her sisters looked at the kingdom at the highest side of the universe, the brightest and the biggest place in the whole universe. They flew there and their presence was unnoticed by the angles and even The Lord didn't notice them.
"Should we greet them while they're gathering?" Glasya asked Luciel as she stared at the angles bowing and kneeling at The Lord sitting on his throne. "By the way. There's another you over there, Lilith," she pointed at the woman having fun with a man in heaven.
"Hmm. I don't know what to feel..." Lilith watched herself making love with the man. "I guess I'll deal with her and that man..." she sighed.
"Let's start the war," Luciel looked at Lucifer among the Archangels. "We change the story of the rebellion angels with the annihilation of The Lord and his servants," she unsheathed her sword and flew to the spacious hall of clouds with pillars.
Luciel was the first to show herself in her shining silver armor and a single wing on her back, spreading widely. Her long silver hair and beauty would make the angels jealous if they had emotion, and her silver eyes pointed at The Lord were enough to tell she came with dangerously ill intention.
All the angels stood up simultaneously and grabbed their weapons made from gold from thin air. They flew toward Luciel and they didn't show any fear because they were like machines.
"I don't want to use my sword against lifeless beings like you," Luciel stabbed her sword and then she swung her left hand and scratched the air in front of her.
Thousands of angels that were swarming toward Luciel got sliced roughly into five pieces on each of them. The remaining angels who saw what happened stopped going toward her under The Lord's command. They could see the bodies flying around where Luciel was standing in the middle gracefully as her eyes kept focusing on The Lord.
When The Lord wondered who that woman was, thirteen more of them descended and stood behind that woman. He couldn't sense the power within those women and he couldn't measure how strong they were. He knew at that moment something wasn't right, he thought he was the omnipotent being, but it turned out there were a lot of them out there.
"I failed to notice last time," Beldathiel gently rubbed her feet against the clouds. "This place is so comfy, and I feel like I want to take a nap here," she said as she sat down.
"Just say it if you don't want to fight, Belda. Nobody can force you to fight anyway," Vixelleth chuckled as she looked at Beldathiel lying on the ground.
"Well, now you know, so you guys can have my portion. I'll take a nap now," Beldathiel said as she made herself comfortable. "Oh, don't worry about the noises. I'm okay with loud noises," she chuckled as she smiled with her eyes closed.
"What a heavy sleeper you are," Zherlthsh looked at Beldathiel who had fallen asleep.
"Let her be," Luciel said as she grabbed her sword and pulled it out. "As Lyneth said, we need to do this quickly, but don't forget to have some fun," she added as she pointed her sword at The Lord.
