Book 8 Chapter Nineteen; Raining Red Sky
Amid the chaos of the battlefield, a sudden roar of energy tore through the air.
Storm Fire!
Sadé's voice rang out, cutting through the cacophony of clashing blades and monstrous roars.
Jazmel turned, his attention snapping to her, just as her form became a blazing beacon of power. Her nine tails, now fully unleashed, unfurled behind her in a dazzling array of shimmering, fiery hues. Each tail pulsed with raw Mana, their vibrant colours ranging from molten gold to crackling azure, swirling together like a storm given form. The sheer force of her presence was explosive, a combustive inferno that radiated outwards in waves.
The ground beneath her feet cracked and scorched as she bounded forward, her movements a blur of speed and grace. Flames danced along her limbs, spiralling upward into a tempest of fire and lightning that seemed to consume her entirely. Sparks of electric blue streaked through the golden blaze, arcing outward like jagged bolts of lightning, setting the corrupted monsters ablaze.
Jazmel's Tyrannical Eye allowed him to see her Mana clearly a storm given form, an untamed wildfire fused with the relentless fury of the skies. Her aura wasn't just destructive it was alive, writhing and roaring with a will of its own. The sheer force of it caused the corrupted monsters nearby to falter, their movements sluggish as they were battered by the oppressive heat and crackling energy.
Sadé was unstoppable. She darted past Jazmel, her every step igniting the ground in her wake. With a wild cry, she leaped into the air, her tails whipping around her like flaming ribbons. Her skill, Storm Fire, erupted fully an explosive wave of fire and lightning cascading outward, engulfing dozens of the twisted monsters in its wrath.
The Searing Fangs were the first to fall, their sleek forms igniting and turning to ash in the blink of an eye. The Void born Wretches, with their phasing, were unable to escape the reach of her flames; they flickered into existence only to be incinerated instantly. Even the towering Soulshard Behemoths stumbled, their crystalline armour cracking and melting under the onslaught.
Jazmel watched in awe, his grip tightening on Yoru No Tsubasa. This was Sadé's true power, her nine tails fully released, and her Mana unleashed without restraint. She was a force of nature, a living storm, and for the first time in the chaos of the battle, Jazmel felt the tide begin to shift.
But her power wasn't without cost. He could see it in the way her breaths came quicker, in the way her fiery aura flickered for brief moments as she poured everything into the attack. She wasn't holding back she couldn't afford to.
"Keep pushing!" Sadé shouted, her voice a mix of fury and desperation as she launched herself at a towering Behemoth. Her fists collided with the creature's crystal hide, the impact detonating in a fiery burst that shattered its armour and sent shards raining down.
Jazmel's resolve hardened as he saw her fighting with everything she had. He took a deep breath, focusing his own Mana. If Sadé could give it her all, so could he.
Paldane soared across the blood-red skies, his massive wings slicing through the air with thunderous force. Trails of shimmering blue fire, infused with his potent Mana, cascaded downward, striking the battlefield with devastating precision. Each infernal blast scarred the ground, leaving behind smouldering craters and disintegrating waves of corrupted creatures in their wake. The searing heat warped the very air, creating a mirage-like effect as the relentless horde charged forward, only to be consumed by the dragon's fury.
Jazmel held tight to Paldane's back, his grip firm as the dragon roared, his voice a powerful symphony of dominance that sent shockwaves through the battlefield. The corrupted beings hesitated, their twisted forms recoiling under the unrelenting assault. Yet, their hesitation was brief the endless tide surged forward again, as relentless, and unyielding as the storm overhead.
Below, Charme was a blur of motion, her movements a deadly dance as she unleashed her martial prowess. She flowed seamlessly through the chaos, her fists and feet striking with explosive force. Each impact sent shockwaves rippling through the ground, the very earth cracking beneath her strength. Her Mana shimmered around her, a deep crimson and gold aura that flared with every strike. The corrupted monsters that dared to approach her were shattered, their forms crumbling under her relentless assault.
Beside her, Baek unleashed his full arsenal, his sword glowing with an ethereal white light that seemed to pierce the very fabric of the battlefield. Every swing of his Jian sent arcs of radiant energy slicing through the horde, severing limbs, and disintegrating bodies with brutal efficiency. His aura burned bright, a pristine silver tinged with flashes of deep blue, a stark contrast to the chaos around him. The ground itself seemed to tremble under the weight of his Mana, his sheer presence pushing back the relentless tide.
The two fought with perfect synchronization, their combined power carving a path through the horde. Charme's strikes softened the creatures, breaking their forms, while Baek's precise swordplay finished them with cold, unyielding precision. Together, they held the line, giving the others precious moments to regroup and counter the relentless rampage.
Above, Jazmel watched the battle unfold, his Tyrannical Eye capturing every moment in brutal clarity. Paldane's fires rained down like judgment, Baek and Charme's skills unleashed with terrifying effectiveness, but even so, the tide seemed endless. The Red Gate had unleashed something far worse than anything they'd ever faced.
The ground was a battlefield of carnage, fire, and death, and yet the corrupted creatures kept coming, pouring from the sky like a living flood. Jazmel tightened his grip on Yoru No Tsubasa, his resolve hardening. He could feel the weight of the battle pressing down on them all, but he knew they couldn't falter.
"Paldane, circle back!" Jazmel commanded. The dragon roared in response, banking sharply in the air to line up his next assault. Below, the battle raged on, their allies fighting with everything they had to survive the onslaught.
The relentlessness of the Red Gate rampage was suffocating, but the sight of his friends Charme's unwavering strength, Baek's unmatched precision, and the others' determination spurred Jazmel on. The sky burned red, the battlefield a storm of chaos and death, but they would fight. They had to. There was no other choice.
DING!
BEWARE THE ONCOMING CALAMITY!
THE TITAN THOUGH CORRUPTED!!
A TRAGEDY COMES!!!
…
DING!
THE TITAN!
…
From the blood-stained heavens, the sky trembled and cracked with a sound like the tearing of the world itself. A deafening roar echoed through the chaos, silencing the battlefield for a fleeting moment.
Then it appeared.
A colossal Titan, standing ten feet tall but radiating a presence that dwarfed even the mightiest creatures, emerged from the rift in the red sky. Its descent was not a fall but a deliberate plummet a living comet, wreathed in a fiery aura of pure, incomprehensible Mana. Its body tore through the air, leaving a blazing trail of destruction as it hurtled toward the ground.
Jazmel's Tyrannical Eye locked onto it, but the overwhelming surge of Mana emanating from the Titan blurred his vision, its sheer magnitude incomprehensible. This was power beyond anything he had ever faced, a presence that felt like staring into the heart of a storm too vast to comprehend.
The Titan's form was both terrifying and mesmerizing. Its muscular frame glistened with a dark, metallic sheen, as if it's very flesh were forged from the abyss itself. Fiery cracks ran across its body, pulsing with molten Mana, giving the impression of a volcano barely restrained. Its eyes glowed with a searing crimson light, filled with malice and intelligence, while a crown of jagged, horn-like protrusions framed its head like a twisted halo.
When it struck the ground, the impact was cataclysmic. The earth shattered beneath it, a massive crater erupting from the force of its landing. A shockwave rippled outward, hurling debris, and sending waves of corrupted creatures flying in all directions.
Jazmel clung to Paldane as the shockwave hit, the force so immense it nearly knocked them from the sky. Below, Charme and Baek shielded themselves, their Mana flaring to keep from being overwhelmed by the sheer power emanating from the Titan.
The battlefield grew eerily quiet for a moment as the Titan straightened, standing amidst the destruction it had caused. Its presence dominated the landscape, a living embodiment of destruction and unrelenting power. The corrupted creatures, which had seemed endless and mindless before, now gathered around it in reverence, bowing and writhing as if drawn to their dark god.
Jazmel's breath hitched as the Titan raised one massive hand, Mana coalescing in its palm like a miniature sun. Its voice, deep and resonant, rumbled across the battlefield.
"I am Ymmarax, Harbinger of Oblivion."
The declaration sent chills down Jazmel's spine. The Titan's Mana surged, painting the air with streaks of crimson and black, suffocating, and oppressive. Jazmel tightened his grip on Yoru No Tsubasa, his heart pounding as he realized the full weight of the threat before them.

Jazmel! Paldane's voice rang in his mind, urgent and commanding. Prepare yourself! This is no ordinary foe!
Jazmel nodded, his resolve hardening. Around him, Baek and Charme regrouped, their expressions grim but determined. Sadé, her tails still blazing with fiery power, rejoined them, her gaze fixed on the Titan.
This was no longer just a battle. This was survival against a force that defied comprehension.
The ground shook with every thunderous step of the Titan, the reverberations rolling through the battlefield like the toll of a war drum. Each impact cracked the earth, fissures spreading out like veins of impending doom. Ymmarax, the Harbinger of Oblivion, marched forward with a terrifying inevitability, its crimson eyes locked on the wall that stood as the last bastion of hope.
The corrupted creatures parted before it, writhing and bowing as their dark champion advanced. The air grew heavier with each step, the suffocating aura of the Titan's Mana pressing down on everything around it, bending the world to its will.
Jazmel stepped forward, planting himself firmly in the Titan's path. His sword, Yoru No Tsubasa, hummed in his grasp, its blade glowing faintly with the swirling shadows of his gathered Mana. He didn't need to look to know that Baek, Charme, and Sadé were right beside him. Their presence, their strength, filled him with a resolve that matched the fearsome power before them.
"We are going to stop the Titan," Jazmel said, his voice steady despite the chaos raging around them.
Baek drew his Jian, the pristine blade gleaming as he stepped into position. His silver-blue aura flared around him, rippling with controlled power that felt like the calm before a hurricane. Beside him, Charme settled into her stance, her crimson-gold aura radiating raw, untamed strength. Sadé's nine tails flicked behind her, each one blazing with fire and lightning, her Mana a tempest ready to erupt.
Overhead, Paldane roared, the sound echoing across the battlefield like a war cry. His massive form cut through the blood-red sky, his black and blue scales glinting as he unleashed torrents of fire down upon the corrupted creatures. The flames scorched the ground, clearing a path toward the Titan as he circled above, a dark guardian watching over them.
The Titan paused for a moment, its gaze shifting to the small group standing defiantly in its path. A deep, guttural laugh rumbled from its chest, the sound like grinding stone.
"You believe you can stop me?" Ymmarax's voice boomed, filled with mocking disdain. "Fools. I will crush your hopes as I crush your walls."
Jazmel tightened his grip on his sword, his Tyrannical Eye flaring to life. He could see the immense, swirling vortex of Mana surrounding the Titan, a tempest of corruption and destruction. It was overwhelming, but it wasn't unbeatable.
"Together," Jazmel said, glancing at his allies. "We're going to bring it down."
Baek smirked, his aura sharpening like a blade. "Then let's show it what we're made of."
Charme's fists ignited with Mana, her stance lowering as she prepared to strike. "We don't need a wall to stand tall."
Sadé growled, her fiery aura surging. "This thing doesn't know what it's up against."
The Titan took another step forward, the ground shattering beneath its massive foot. Jazmel raised Yoru No Tsubasa, his Mana pooling into the blade, its hum growing louder as shadows gathered around him.
"Let's end this," Jazmel said.
As the Titan advanced, the group surged forward to meet it, their combined power blazing brighter than the darkness bearing down upon them. Overhead, Paldane roared again, his flames streaking across the sky as the battle to stop the Titan began.
The battlefield erupted in chaos as Jazmel, Baek, Charme, and Sadé launched their assault against the Titan, their combined strength clashing with the overwhelming might of Ymmarax.
Jazmel led the charge, his sword, Yoru No Tsubasa, glowing with the dense Mana he channelled into it. With a roar, he surged forward, the blade singing as he unleashed a devastating slash. Shadows erupted from the sword, carving through the air like spectral ravens. The strike crashed into the Titan's chest, the force creating a shockwave that rippled outward.
Ymmarax stumbled back slightly but bellowed in rage, its molten Mana coursing through its veins visibly repairing the damage. The Titan swung its massive arm in retaliation, its clawed hand slicing toward Jazmel with a speed that defied its size.
Jazmel barely dodged, Paldane's roar above signalling a blast of blue-black flames that intercepted the Titan's strike, forcing it to recoil.
Baek darted in next, his movements impossibly quick. His Jian glowed with pure white light, each swing releasing arcs of slicing energy. He targeted the Titan's joints, aiming for precision strikes to cripple its massive form. His Mana radiated like a flood, overwhelming in its purity and force.
One strike hit the Titan's knee, the blade digging deep and causing it to drop slightly. Baek followed up with a flurry of slashes, his Mana erupting with each strike, leaving radiant scars across the Titan's armour-like skin.
But Ymmarax retaliated with a brutal swipe of its hand, a shockwave of raw Mana following the motion. Baek raised his sword, a shimmering barrier of silver-blue forming around him just in time to deflect the impact. The force sent him skidding back, his aura flickering briefly before stabilizing.
Charme came in low, her movements a blur of strength and agility. Her fists burned with crimson-gold Mana as she leapt into the air, slamming a punch into the Titan's side. The impact reverberated like thunder, the sheer force denting its metallic hide.
She didn't let up, her strikes coming in rapid succession. Each hit was a concentrated blast of energy, her Mana rippling outward in shockwaves that cracked the ground beneath the Titan.
"Stay down!" she roared, her aura blazing brighter as she slammed both fists into the Titan's chest.
Ymmarax roared in pain, swiping at her with its massive arm. Charme dodged with a graceful backflip, but the Titan stomped the ground, sending a tremor that threw her off balance. She growled, landing hard but rolling to her feet, her aura flaring as she charged in again.
Sadé bounded through the chaos, her nine tails flicking with fiery and lightning-charged Mana. She leapt onto the Titan's back, her claws sinking into its armour as she climbed. Her tails whipped around, each one releasing explosive bursts of energy that scorched the Titan's molten skin.
Storm Fire!
She screamed, unleashing a massive blast of fiery lightning directly into the back of the Titan's neck. The explosion sent shards of molten metal flying, and Ymmarax let out an earth-shaking roar of pain.
The Titan thrashed violently, reaching back to grab her. Sadé leapt away just in time, landing near Jazmel as he prepared another strike.
Ymmarax, enraged and wounded, released a pulse of molten Mana that rippled outward like a tidal wave. The ground turned to molten slag beneath its feet, forcing the four to retreat momentarily. The Titan raised its massive hand, conjuring a spear of dark, corrupted Mana.
It hurled the spear with terrifying force, aiming for Jazmel. Baek intercepted, his Jian glowing as he slashed through the projectile, dispersing the energy in a radiant explosion.
"Keep pushing!" Jazmel shouted, his Mana flaring as he prepared another attack.
Together, the four regrouped, their combined Mana flaring brightly against the Titan's oppressive aura.
Jazmel leapt forward, slashing Yoru No Tsubasa in a wide arc, the blade unleashing waves of shadowy energy.
Baek followed, his Jian cutting with precision, each strike carving into the Titan's form.
Charme pounded the Titan with unrelenting force, her fists blazing as she targeted its weakened points.
Sadé unleashed a fiery storm, her tails flicking like whips as explosions of fire and lightning rained down.
Their combined assault pushed Ymmarax back, its molten skin cracking and its roars growing more desperate. The Titan lashed out wildly, but the four worked in perfect synchronization, dodging and countering with unrelenting fury.
The battle raged on, each strike and counterstrike shaking the battlefield. But for the first time, the Titan began to falter, its once-unstoppable form showing signs of wear under the relentless power of their combined might.
The battlefield roared with chaos as the fight against Ymmarax raged on. Amid the storm of Mana and fury, Sadé darted through the air, her nine tails blazing with fire and lightning. Each tail moved independently, whipping through the air, and releasing explosive bursts of destructive energy.
Storm Fire
she bellowed, her voice cutting through the din. All nine tails ignited in a furious blaze, their combined light like a miniature sun descending upon the Titan. She leapt high, releasing a massive blast of energy that struck Ymmarax square in the chest, the explosion rippling across the battlefield and forcing the giant back a step.
Ymmarax roared, its molten voice dripping with disdain. "Foolish little fox! Do you think your flames can harm me? I will pluck your tails one by one and crush your spirit before I end you!"
Sadé's eyes narrowed; her expression fierce. "Try it," she spat, her voice laced with defiance. "I'll burn you to ash before you even get close."
With a growl, she dashed forward, her tails weaving a trail of blazing light behind her. She struck the Titan's leg, her sabre sinking deep as she released another fiery explosion. Ymmarax howled in anger, swinging its massive arm to swat her away.
"Not today!" Sadé growled, flipping through the air to dodge the strike. Her tails lashed out, sending arcs of fire and lightning crashing into the Titan's face, forcing it to stumble.
"Keep going, Sadé!" Jazmel shouted from below, his sword glowing with concentrated Mana as he prepared another strike.
"I'm not stopping until this thing is nothing but rubble!" she roared back, leaping onto the Titan's back once more, her tails wrapping around its massive form as she unleashed another wave of fiery destruction.
Even as Ymmarax tried to grab her, swiping, and snarling in fury, Sadé danced out of reach, her nine tails a storm of relentless, burning fury. "You're not plucking anything today," she hissed, her flames blazing brighter than ever.
Jazmel tightened his grip on Yoru No Tsubasa, the blade humming with shadowed energy. He could feel the Mana coursing through him, surging into the weapon as if the sword itself demanded vengeance. The Titan's mocking roar echoed in his ears, but Jazmel was far beyond fear.
"Enough games," he muttered, his Tyrannical Eye flaring to life. The battlefield, the chaos, the Titan's movements all came into sharp focus.
Shadowed Wraith
Instantly, his body became a blur, his form blending with the dark tendrils of Mana that danced across the battlefield. The air around him shimmered with an ominous haze as he disappeared from view, moving like a ghost through the chaotic melee.
From the veil of darkness, Jazmel emerged behind Ymmarax with a single, fluid strike.
Reaping Ravens!
He roared, slashing Yoru No Tsubasa in an upward arc. The blade sang, and from its edge erupted a flock of shadowy ravens, each one screeching as they descended upon the Titan. The raven-like projections tore into Ymmarax's flesh, their claws and beaks biting deep into its molten skin. Each impact sent splatters of corrupted Mana flying, leaving jagged scars across the Titan's massive form.
"Your tricks are meaningless!" Ymmarax bellowed, swiping at the ravens with its massive hands. But for every shadowy bird it struck, another took its place, tearing and slashing with relentless ferocity.
Jazmel darted in and out of the Titan's reach, each strike of his sword releasing another wave of the shadowed flock. The battlefield seemed alive with their cries, the ravens circling and diving in a storm of dark fury.
"Feel this, Titan," Jazmel growled, his voice cutting through the chaos. With a surge of Mana, he vanished into the shadows again, reappearing directly in front of Ymmarax's face. He slashed downward with all his strength, the attack releasing a larger raven, its form imbued with the full force of his Mana.
The massive shadow-beast struck Ymmarax square in the face, raking its talons across the Titan's molten eyes. The Harbinger roared in pain, stumbling back as blackened ichor spilled from the wounds.
Jazmel landed gracefully, shadows curling around him like a living shroud. He stood tall, his sword raised, the shadowy ravens still circling the Titan, waiting for his next command.
"You wanted a fight," Jazmel said coldly, his voice steady. "Now you'll see what it means to face me."
