Demon Hunter and His Cabin

Chapter 789: You can drink as much as you like, but don't speak recklessly

"Didn't we say we're going to the Summit of the Gods? But isn't this already near the edge of Europe?"

Roger rode on Hillrenes, feeling a bit stiff in his posture, he casually shifted a bit, but unexpectedly, this incredibly slight movement provoked the displeasure of the Giant Dragon beneath him.

"Roar!" Hillrenes let out a loud roar.

"Quiet down, the chaotic energy here might spread out and could even cause planes far away to crash."

Sonia reached out and pressed her hand on Hillrenes's Dragon Scale, and in the next moment, Hillrenes's massive body convulsed uncontrollably.

Roger could only shrug helplessly.

"Her scales are too hard, not as soft as yours, and they're making me quite uncomfortable..."

Sonia rolled her eyes but didn't say anything, the matters between these two were clear only to them.

"The place we're heading to is called the Summit of the Gods, it's said to be a remnant of a previous era, existing within a shattered world."

"Every meeting is held there, and as long as they have time, most of the Fifth Tier in this world would choose to participate, making it a rare grand occasion."

"In the real world, it's almost impossible to find traces of these guys, their existence is too burdensome for this world, and they're not comfortable staying here either."

"So they all reside in worlds similar to Everworld, but the Transcendent World that the mainstream forces in Europe control is much larger than Everworld."

"Come to think of it, we're probably the most unlucky among them, with our main forces concentrated in reality. Although we're all Fifth Tier, we haven't been in for very long."

"The Everworld I control is too far from the Western World, so it likely won't be recognized by those mainstream forces either."

"So relatively speaking, we are the weakest among the seven."

"And to enter the Summit of the Gods, our current identity and strength are obviously insufficient, so we need a recommender."

Sonia explained to Roger.

"Aren't there any Transcendents in Armenia who've reached the Fifth Tier?" Roger was a bit puzzled.

"Of course there are."

"A Dragon Sorcerer, a Demon Hunter, and reportedly, the only Spiritualist who has reached the Fifth Tier."

"A peculiar guy... It seems his power doesn't come from bloodline."

"But unfortunately, Armenia's official recommendation seats are already full, and I have had too little contact with them, so to gain qualification, I'm afraid we'll have to wait for the next time."

"So where are we going now?"

The duo was high above, where no signs of life could be seen, yet Roger could still easily determine their current position.

Hmm... It should be not far from the geographical location known in the 'previous life' as the land of warriors.

"Mount Elbrus, that's our destination, we're going there to find someone, kind of a half-friend, if all goes well, he should be able to take us there."

Sonia replied.

In the journey that followed, Hillrenes didn't try any stunts like reversing her scales; partly due to Sonia's earlier intimidation, but mostly because she realized her attacks hadn't caused any damage to some of Roger's vulnerable parts.

In Roger's so-called memory, Mount Elbrus was originally the highest peak in Europe, but here, the height of the mountain clearly exceeded previous memories.

The increase in altitude also brought changes in the natural environment, making the steep peaks a holy land for many extreme sports enthusiasts.

Even before getting close, Roger saw a small village nestled at the foot of the mountain like a lion.

This place caters to tourists who visit every year and also provides the last rest stop for those extreme sports enthusiasts, although it doesn't seem very large in area.

Small as it may be, it has everything—one could buy various supplies and advanced climbing equipment in this little place.

Roger and the others of course wouldn't mingle with ordinary people, Hillrenes flapped her wings and almost blended with the surrounding environment, slowly landing on the peak.

This was a realm ordinary people could not reach.

The unique shape of Mount Elbrus in this world meant that the summit recognized by ordinary people was not the limit, for beyond that, was an area not reachable by technological means.

Transcendent forces influenced the surrounding environment, something that technology could not conquer.

And Roger and Sonia stood in this special zone.

From the ridge, Roger could see a few scattered figures, unaware that the height they could never reach in their lifetime was a mere flutter of wings for some.

Sonia raised her head, as the sun reached its peak trajectory, sunlight poured down from the sky, forming a magnificent halo on the summit.

"It's now!"

She patted Hillrenes's scales, and the next moment, a large amount of snow danced in the wind, the snowflakes spiraled upward, gradually forming a conical closed area.

And at this moment, Roger also saw something unusual.

The floating snowflakes were not controlled by Hillrenes but were attracted and combined by some force in the surrounding space.

With Hillrenes's rise, they were gradually pulled into a foreign space.

"Oh?"

Just as they were about to cross the spatial barrier, Roger suddenly noticed something, he casually waved his hand downward, and before Sonia could question, their figures vanished completely.
