Chapter 758: What do you really plan to do?
Nero had won albeit barely and right after he was sure that Julius had fainted Nero himself fainted as well. The very second Nero fell to the ground Ren appeared on the arena floor and looked at the two.
The power they displayed was enough to fight against weaker Old Gods, which was good enough which means that the journey of gathering forces was not in vain. At this level, these guys should be able to fight against the lower Gods so they can focus against the more powerful ones.
"The winner of the match has been decided. These two have proven themselves worthy in my eyes and I hope you guys continue to improve like them... You guys need to open your eyes and look at people closely. Do not judge people by your narrow standards. The only guy who was looking at this guy properly was your patriarch...
Lastly, after twenty-four hours I will forcefully relocate you guys so by then you people better be ready."
After saying his piece Ren left with Mythious leaving behind his dumbfounded descendants who were looking at each other in confusion.
...
Nero woke up and saw the ceiling of his room, his body was aching all over. He looked at his body and saw that he was covered in bandages. It took Nero several seconds before he remembered why his body was hurting so badly.
"I see... I won..."
"Yeah, you did, but just barely."
Nero looked to the side and saw Erik enter his field of vision, the guy had brought with him several bottles of healing potions. Erik handed Nero a bottle before sitting down beside him.
"That guy was more than any of us expected. It seems like it's just as the Ancestor said, you were the only one who was looking at him properly."
"The Ancestor said that?... What else did the Ancestor say?"
Erik then repeated the words Ren told them verbatim. Nero felt a little proud that the Ancestor actually said that they were worthy.
"Then what happened to Julius?"
"Someone took him back to his place, and a lot of people went as well. I guess those guys are planning on apologizing for not looking at Julius properly."
"I see so it seems like I'm no longer the only one who sees him." A smile appeared on Nero's face as he lay on his bed.
...
In Julius's room, several people were surrounding Julius who had just woken up. He was confused at first, but then he remembered what had transpired before he fainted.
'I see... I lost...'
"I guess you guys are here to finish me off. Can you wait a few seconds I want to at least wear a proper suit to my death."
"Um, Sir Julius what are you talking about?" One of the men spoke confused as to what Julius was saying.
"What do you mean, what am I talking about? Aren't you here to kill me."
"No, no, no, you misunderstood Sir Julius. We didn't come here to kill you, we came here to apologize."
"Apologize?"
The group of people then started to explain what the Ancestor said and what they felt after thinking about it a little bit. It was true that they were looking at things through a narrow lens that they failed to see the true person.
When he heard what the Ancestor said a smile appeared on Julius's face. To him winning and losing were secondary, what he truly craved, what he truly wanted was recognition for his efforts.
'The Ancestor himself has acknowledged my efforts.'
"I see, then you guys who came to apologize there's no need to do that."
"No please allow us all to apologize."
One of the men opened the window of the room to show Julius that almost all the members of the Loder Clan had come to apologize to him. Julius did not know what to say by the sight he saw.
...
While the members of the Loder Clan were doing their thing, Ren and Mythious had a battle of their own on a different planet that was several times larger than the planet the members of the Loder Clan were hiding on.
The battle did not take too long to finish, the planet they started fighting on was almost immediately destroyed by one of Mythious's attacks, and several other lifeless planets were also destroyed in the aftermath of their quick battle.
Mythious was floating in space unable to move a single body part every inch of his body was covered in wounds. Most of those wounds were self-inflicted to strengthen some of his attacks.
On the other hand, Ren did not have a scratch on him, not even his shirt was damaged from the fight he had. Still, Ren was quite satisfied that he was able to move his real body so much.
"That was a great workout we should have another match once you get stronger."
"Heh, do you incarnations of the Strongest Mortal Soul say the exact same lines? Do you guys share a script or something?"
"Well, we are essentially the same person."
"... So are you going to tell me now?
"Hmm, tell you what?"
"What are you truly planning to do?"
"Haven't I already said that?"
"You did hint that you plan to fight against the Gods but is that truly all you're going to do?"
"You make that task sound so insignificant."
"Heh, I might not know how powerful you are now, but I can guess that you're powerful enough to deal with the Gods by yourself."
"That is correct in a way... I was going to tell you guys later, but I guess I can tell you in advance. I plan to have the final battle against the ORIGIN, and I'm gathering allies to help hold back the Gods and the Ancient Ones while I fight the ORIGIN and try to end him."
Mythious expected Ren to say something like he wanted to annihilate all the Gods until none existed, but he never expected Ren to kill the ORIGIN himself. Mythious almost choked on nothing as he was so surprised.
"Heh, hahahaha!!! As expected of an incarnation of the Strongest Mortal Soul! So, do you have a chance of winning?"
"I'll be straight with you there is almost little to no chance of winning against the ORIGIN... Still, I will fight until the very end."
"Hmph, if someone else said those words I would have thought that they were crazy, but since it's you I promise to follow right behind you all the way. What's the worst that could happen it's only the erasure of our existence."
Ren and Mythious looked at each other with smiles on their faces and after a short pause, the two then started laughing. This was an expected reaction from all of those who have met the Strongest Mortal Soul. No matter the incarnation of the Strongest Mortal Soul, they would always inspire strength and courage no matter how bleak the situation was.
Watching the man who has reincarnated countless times to try and change fate itself, and succeed. Of course, you would want to believe in that person, believe that even now he could create another miracle.
