Demon Lord's Reincarnation

Fyodor the Wanderer was a legend among the people during his time but now he was treated as a fairy tale. He was a warrior who was said to be the eternal rival of the hero Christoph Wolf the demon slayer.

The story goes that when Fyodor was still called the unbeatable swordsman he met a young man who had never held a weapon in his life but challenged him to a duel. The young man was barely thirteen years old and had no fame, weapons, or parents. Still, despite all that the young man showed a vicious smile and he looked at Fyodor like a predator looking at its prey.

Even though the child was nothing much in his eyes, Fyodor accepted the challenge as he had always done. This young man who was about to face Fyodor was none other than Christoph Wolf the reincarnation of the Strongest Mortal Soul.

The battle they had ended in a way that none except for Christoph expected. Fyodor had lost and overwhelmingly so. The unknown young man called Christoph defeated Fyodor without any damage to himself.

This was the start of the journey of Christoph Wolf, after defeating Fyodor he has proven to his family that he was able to shoulder the weight of the name Wolf even without his parents or carrying any sword or spear but with his body alone he could shoulder everything.

Fyodor became the first of many that Cristoph has defeated but unlike the others, Fyodor kept coming back to challenge Christoph. At first, it was a challenge that happened every day, and then it changed into every month.

Every time Fyodor came back to challenge Christoph he would have mastered a new technique and he would have increased his strength greatly, but the same could be said for Christoph. When Fyodor took two steps ahead of everyone, Christoph had already taken five steps ahead of Fyodor.

Fyodor the unbeatable swordsman later on became Fyodor the eternal challenger. Fyodor who kept on challenging a junior two decades younger than him for a while became a laughing stock but later when he crushed everyone who made fun of him those who laughed at him disappeared and now no one would ever laugh at Fyodor.

Christoph became the strongest and Fyodor sat steadily as the second strongest. Fyodor thought that he would eventually win against Christoph as long as he kept on challenging the other party, but that came to an end when the demon came.

The Demon was a nickname given to the martial artist who used foul and demonic things to get stronger like absorbing other people's life force or sacrificing children to an evil god to gain power and other such means.

The Demon had already massacred several cities worth of humans it was when all hope was lost that Christoph alongside Fyodor came to defeat the Demon. Fyodor dealt with the minions while Christoph fought against the Demon.

The fight was one that became legend but many people of the current age thought that the story was simply exaggerated. A fist that could shatter several buildings and a sword slash that could cut off an entire city sounded like a young boy's delusions. Still, that fight did happen, and that was also the end of the story of Christoph Wolf the boy who yearned for the Strongest.

At the end of that story, the only one who remained to tell the tale was Fyodor the eternal challenger. It was after that incident that Fyodor's moniker changed again into Fyodor the Wanderer. Fyodor got that nickname as he kept on traveling around the world seeking new foes to defeat, but the true purpose of the journey was to look for Christoph since he did not believe that Christoph had died.

'How could that guy just up and die like that? That's impossible, simply impossible. That guy who was so absurd that one could not comprehend how he could keep on getting stronger by the day simply by breathing, how can a ridiculous guy like that die?!'

Fyodor who did not find the body of Christoph would never believe that his rival had perished in the battle against the Demon.

As he journeyed around the world in search of his missing rival, Fyodor defeated every warrior that claimed to be the strongest. When he felt that his lifespan was nearing its natural end, Fyodor could not accept it as he was still unable to find Christoph.

At first, Fyodor extended his lifespan using external objects, but later once he reached a certain level of power he was able to revert back to his physical peak. Now able to understand more and even gained a new form of power Fyodor became excited but for a different reason than what most people would have in the same situation.

'If I could do this then surely that fool Christoph could as well. Now I know for sure he's still out there. I will surely win the next time we meet.'

Fyodor continued his journey looking for Christoph and while on this journey he fought all would-be challengers, and defeated them.

After a century of wandering Fyodor even started teaching a student he found that had overflowing talent. Still, the talent that the child showed was greater than his but it could not compare to the illogical level of Christoph's talent.

The child whose name was Regus was one who believed that his talent was above all else even his master's that was why he was so shocked to hear what his master said.

"Master, is that guy Christoph truly more talented than me?" Regus who was sixteen years old could not help but ask.

"I admit that your talent is above mine, you were able to understand and use the basic techniques I have practiced for years in just a couple of months, but that guy is even more ridiculous. After watching a technique at most two times he was able to not only replicate the technique but even improve it."

After hearing his master's reply Regus was stunned into silence, but that state did not last long as his competitive spirit was burning. Regus like Fyodor wanted to reach the same realm as Christoph and surpass it. Seeing the reaction of his disciple a smile appeared on Fyodor's face.

'It seems like another challenger will come after you, Christoph... I wonder how strong you are now...'
