Demon Lord's Reincarnation

Erste who was in an endless darkness opened his eyes, he could once again feel the power within his body and it was rising. Not only was he able to wake up from the darkness but Erste could now sense the souls around him, no it was not just the souls around him but he could sense the souls beyond this universe.

It was overwhelming at first to sense all those souls, Erste could not only sense their presence but he also sensed their emotions. Erste could sense so many strong emotions that it was getting mixed up with his own emotions.

The resentment, the regrets, the sorrow, the anger, the longing, some were light emotions but there were darker frightening emotions that Erste had never experienced before. If it was anyone else but Erste they would have already gone crazy.

'How did Ractopictan endure this for eons, did he go crazy because of this, or was he crazy, to begin with?'

Erste was trying to control the flow of emotions that were coming in from the different souls, but it was hard as he was still not used to his new abilities.

Erste controlled his new authority like he did the lesser ones he stole from the Old Gods, but unlike those times this one was taking longer to control.

"Damn it! So many souls, so much pain and anguish!" Erste gnashed his teeth as he knelt and closed his eyes.

"... HAHAHAHA!!! Do you think this level will break me? I won't stop now, I still have things that I need to do. If someone like the whiny baby Ractopictan can control this authority then I should be able to do better!"

Erste who had his eyes closed while having his right hand on his forehead opened his eyes which became darker than before, it was like an abyss filled his pupils. Erste was now able to control the power enough that he could stop sensing the souls of others and their emotions.

Once he was able to stabilize himself Erste checked his body. At this point, Erste was not even sure how strong he had become.

"Hey I know that you're listening in on me, can we talk face to face?"

Erste waited for a response and then instead of a direct answer the same as before the ORIGIN gave him knowledge directly into his mind. The knowledge given to him was that the mere presence of the ORIGIN's true body would tear Erste's body and soul apart, so it was currently impossible to talk face to face, but it was possible to talk with a weakened avatar.

"So you're indirectly telling me that I'm too weak... Hehehe, it's been such a long time since someone called me weak. I guess the creator of everything would say that to everyone... Hmph, still, don't get too complacent I will one day reach your level but for now, come down here and talk to me."

The ORIGIN watched as Erste overcame death itself, for a being within the universe he created with those set of rules placed Erste once again overcame it.

"It's like he already surpassed the very concepts I used to create the original universe. This child really goes beyond everything."

The ORIGIN continued to watch as Erste struggled to control his new powers, but it didn't take too long before he got it under his control. Once he was done with adapting to his newfound power Erste spoke.

"He wants to speak to me face to face?... I too want to speak to him but he won't be able to withstand the presence of my true body. I wonder if he would be fine if I just used an avatar to speak to him, knowing his pride he might reject, but... Let's see what happens after I tell him."

The ORIGIN infused Erste with some knowledge about him, and after waiting for a response Erste showed disappointment but then he showed that vicious smile of his as he responded to the ORIGIN.

"He actually said that he would one day reach my level. This child truly is the one I have been waiting for. Surely he would fulfill my dearest wish... Very well since you really want to speak to me I shall grant you that privilege." The ORIGIN created an avatar and made it descend to Erste's location.

Erste who waited for the ORIGIN's response felt a fluctuation in space, he then looked above his head and saw a crack in space. There was a powerful presence coming from within the crack, the presence was something that actually made Erste unconsciously want to kneel. Of course, Erste resisted that powerful urge and stood tall.

The being that appeared before Erste looked like an older version of him, but he knew who the other party really was.

"To show yourself in that form, are you mocking me?"

"That was not my intention, I thought that this form would make you feel-" The ORIGIN was not done with what he was saying when he stopped a blade from cutting his avatar's head.

"Hoh, blocking my full-powered strike with such ease. I guess even your avatar is already above me."

"Don't be too disappointed Erste, no one in this plane would be able to deal with this avatar, well all except the mother of all dragons."

"So you're telling me that the mother of all dragons is as strong as your avatar."

"In a sense, I guess she is."

"Heh, this is getting more and more exciting." The vicious smile on Erste's face was growing wider.

"So my child, what is it that you wish to say to me?"

"I want to make a deal with you? Seeing as they say that you're omniscient I guess you already know what I want right?"

"Well, I usually am omniscient but when it comes to you I actually cannot see clearly, which is why I have been observing you closely."

Erste was quite surprised to hear that the being before him the creator of his reality had admitted to not being able to see his future clearly.

'I can use this to my advantage.'

"Then can I ask you to make the Ancient Ones, the Old Gods, and the New Gods stop messing with humanity?"

"That is an easy thing to do for me to do, but why should I? The so-called messing with humanity has forced you humans to grow so well. The struggles you and all the humans have been through because of them have created a being that has surpassed fate itself which is you Erste. If it is possible that more of you can be created because of these trials then why should I stop it?"
