Demon Lord's Reincarnation

Chapter 715: Going All Out

While Erste and Ractopictan were about to restart their battle, Skatt was finally able to break into the separated dimension that held his mother's heart. Skatt took the heart and scanned it once he confirmed that it was truly the heart of the mother of all dragons he told the others.

"We got the heart, so we better leave now."

"Wait are we just going to leave Erste?" Sayaka asked the others, but no one responded. "I don't want to lose more can we help him?" Sayaka knew that what she was saying was unrealistic but she wanted to say it, or else she might regret it forever.

"We need to trust that Erste can do this, cause even if we go we won't be able to do anything. We might even get in his way, so our best course of action is to take the heart and finish the mission."

Sayaka could only gnash her teeth while nodding her head. What Frieda said was the cold heart truth, they were truly too weak. The other generals had similar expressions except for Schlau who remained looking calm on the outside.

"Alright then, we better leave while we have the chance," Tenma suggested and no one disagreed. The group quickly fled the scene.

...

The very second the group left the kingdom of death Erste and Ractopictan sensed their departure. If it had before Erste showed the power from the void Ractopictan would have been enraged and left Erste to chase after the thieves, but now all of that doesn't matter to him.

Now in front of Ractopictan was the personification of why the Ancient Ones hated humans. Except for external factors like the heart of the mother of all dragons, Ancient Ones like him do not grow, do not learn, do not change.

The Ancient Ones from birth to their end will not change, but humans who were weak, useless, and had nothing from birth, were able to grow to learn, and change for better or worse.

Ractopictan who was slowly started losing the upper hand was growing more and more irritated.

"Why, Why, Why, Why?! Why is it always you humans who are loved, why are you the masterpieces while we're the mistakes?! I cannot accept it, I can never accept that, we were born to be perfect, you guys who are imperfect are the mistakes!"

Ractopictan's scythe clashed with Erste's scythe one had the power of Death while the other had the power from the void, upon contact it was the power of death that lost out. Noticing that he was losing out just made Ractopictan even more irritated.

"Fine human I will show you and my father that even we Ancient Ones can grow! This is the power I gained over the years I have basked in the heart of the mother of all dragons! Bear witness to my ultimate form!"

"Heh, another form, just how many forms do you have? Fine whatever, this does make it even more fun to win against you." Erste mumbled to himself as he watched Ractopictan changing forms again.

Ractopictan who was in the form of a fog was changing and went back into the form with half his face face being skeletal and the other half melting skin. After a while, his face started growing scales, and several dragon wings grew out from behind him. Not only that, aside from the change in form Erste could sense that Ractopictan had accessed the power from the sea of chaos.

"Do you see! This is the power I have gained over an eon, I have grown beyond what you can imagine father! I have merged myself with the power of Dragons, now in this form, I can wield my authority better than before. In this form, I can do things like this!"

Ractopictan snapped his fingers and two souls appeared before him and then those two souls suddenly regained their flesh. The two who were summoned were the recently deceased Jonathan and Gratz.

"In this form, I can now manipulate their souls even more so than before, I can recreate their flesh which was something only my sister who governs over life can do. Now how about you greet your friend over there."

Jonathan and Gratz looked like they were struggling to stop but they could not control their bodies and charged at Erste. When the two got near it looked like Erste simply passed by them but then their heads detached from their bodies.

"Thanks, bro."

"Sorry about that."

The two spoke before their bodies dissipated into nothingness.

"How cruel of you, to think you would kill your companions without hesitation."

"How disappointing Ractopictan... I think I have misjudged you, I thought you were a true warrior, but it seems that I have seen wrong. To think that you would be boring enough to do such a thing." The vicious smile on Erste's face disappeared and what replaced it was total indifference.

"You're disappointed in me? HAHAHAHAHA!!! That's the most hilarious thing I have heard. Why should I care what you feel, why should I care if you're disappointed? I have nothing to prove to you so your opinion of me does not matter, the only thing that matters is what he, father thinks."

"I see that you have been blinded by this so-called father, you're not even looking at me anymore, are you?... I'm sure the only thing those eyes see is that father you speak of, meaning this fight no longer holds any meaning."

"That's where you are mistaken human, this fight has much meaning. This is a fight to prove myself to father, and who better an opponent than the strongest of the humans he so loves! I will show to him now that even the human with the most potential doesn't stand a chance against an Ancient One! Now come give me all you've got so that I may show you the difference between you and me.

Then I will end this so that I may show Father that we, no that I am worthy!"

Ractopictan's aura of death wrapped up with the mighty ferocious aura of a dragon was like a raging fire that wanted to burn everything in sight. Erste who was on the receiving end of such a powerful force had little to no reaction and he sighed.
