Chapter 426
At around six in the evening, everyone was ready to travel with all of them carrying luggage. The funny part was the extremely rich couple, Donald and Elizabeth, and Robert and Danielle didn’t move from the living room. They just called someone and after less than an hour, a few people came bringing luggage for them.
It actually took Sam, Blake, Armina, Enleed, and Melissa longer to pack their things. The plan was that everyone would stay on the other planet for a couple of days before returning to Earth.
When everyone was ready, Mark dispelled the Warp Gate that he created in the middle of the forest at the back of the house and cast the Warp Gate in the basement where he opened his dungeon portal before. The Warp Gate looked like two pillars made of cement grew from the floor and the color was the same as the color of the cement of the basement.
“I will give everyone authority to activate the gate so you can use it anytime. When you touch one of the pillars, a screen panel will appear and it will allow you to select the location where you want to go. Right now there are four places that you will see but of course, Earth is currently grayed out since we’re here. The other three are the city of Narcone and the city of Melona and the last one is inside my RV. The Earth and my RV Warp Gate connection are hidden and only us here will be able to see and activate them. The other two Warp Gates were established outside the city since city mages were wary that the gate could be used to invade their precious cities. Once a gate is activated by any of you, it will remain open for a few minutes. Every activation of the gate would cost me ten MP so make sure to activate only if you want to use it,” Mark said to everyone.
“Is ten MP costly to you?” Blake asked.
Mark was surprised that Sam’s fiancé was the game math brainiac of the bunch. Melissa told him that Blake had a very high I.Q. He said to Melissa that it was unfair, which Sam’s sister understood immediately. Blake looked like a blonde movie star and having a high I.Q. was a bit much. He didn’t know how Sam bagged someone like that.
To be fair, everyone in their group became attractive ever since they started dungeon diving a few months ago since the stats provided by the weapons and armor that came from the dungeon adjusted everyone’s body.
“No. Ten MP is negligible but still…,” Mark said and Blake just nodded.
He did tell everyone that the circus was using his Warp Gate to invite customers to visit the circus every morning and evening and the warp gate would be activated several times during those times. Even though the MP cost was negligible, it did accumulate.
Mark wasn’t in any danger of having his MP drained since his natural MP regeneration alone was high enough to offset the expenditure and one cast of his spell Floating Sunflower would immediately make sure that his MP was full.
Once the Warp Gate was established, Mark asked Sam to activate it and a portal appeared between the pillars that looked like the Town Portal from the Diablo game franchise.
“It’s beautiful,” Danielle softly said and the others nodded agreeing with her.
“Once you enter, please immediately move out of the way or the next person who will enter will bump into you,” Mark said then he cast the Comprehend Language spell on everyone.
Sam entered the gate followed by Blake while carrying their suitcases. Then Albert jumped inside followed by his parents. The rest of the group entered one after the other and finally, Mark entered the gate.
The RV was crowded since the first people who entered the gate went outside his room. It was a good thing that Mark warned Melissa through the Lover’s Ring item that some of his friends from his “country” would be coming in.
“Mark, you’re RV’s cool. Are those your siblings?” Albert asked then he approached the twins and Liriel.
“Hi, my name is Albert and I’m Mark’s friend,” Albert introduced himself.
“I’m Isaac and this is my brother Aaron and this is our sister Liriel,” Isaac said.
Liriel hid behind his two brothers but Mark could see that the women in the group wanted to approach the kids since admittedly, the twins and the little girl were the cutest children he had seen so Mark introduced everyone to each other.
Mark was flabbergasted when he heard Sam and Blake whispering to each other about how handsome Nedertu was and their plan to possibly invite him to their bed. He couldn’t help himself so he threw a pillow that he retrieved from his inventory at his best friend and his fiancé.
“Everyone here can hear you morons. Everyone has enhanced stats!”
Sam and Blake blushed deeply but Nedertu who was the focus of their discussion wasn’t offended but instead laughed.
“I’m sorry guys, I only date women. I can introduce you to some of my friends though if you want,” Nedertu said while laughing, and even Milena and the others were amused.
All of the kids including Albert had a questioning look on their faces while the other adults wore wry expressions.
“Everyone, leave your things here, and let’s go outside. I’ll introduce you to the circus leader then I’ll conjure your RVs next to mine.”
They followed Mark outside the RV and even the twins and Liriel followed them. Lisa followed as well since she needed to look after the children.
When they exited the RV, everyone in the group gasped. It was understandable since even though it was already evening, the circus was bright to the scattered magic lights but what made everyone surprised was the decoration and the costume of the people out and about roaming the circus.
There were of course different species like your dwarves, halflings, elves, beastmen, and more but they were all wearing costumes from the Star Wars movies, even the customers.
“This is so surreal! It feels like I entered Comic-Con,” Armina said softly but everyone heard her.
Everyone ignored their group even though they were wearing clothes from Earth since the people could only assume that they were wearing costumes as well.
Mark saw Albert and the twins talking to each other and was glad that the children were getting along. They walked for a while since everyone was walking slowly, observing the circus.
Suddenly, Mark heard everyone gasped and when he looked, they were all looking above.
“Oh, I forgot about that. That’s Yoda, the Void Dragon. He’s my summon and not a true dragon. Basically, Yoda could only be considered as some sort of golem that’s why the cities allowed him to stay,” Mark said to everyone.
“There are people on the dragon’s back!” Enleed shouted.
“Oh yeah. He’s one of the circus attractions. The “Yoda Dragon Roller Coaster”, Mark said a bit embarrassed.
“Yoda?” Armina asked unbelievingly.
“Oh, I was supposed to hold an event in the circus to name the dragon but the twins kept calling him Yoda and it stuck,” Mark said and everyone laughed.
“It’s a him?” Donald asked.
“It’s a summons so I don’t think summons have genders or anything like that. It’s just easier to Yoda him instead of calling the dragon it since it made it sound like he’s not valuable enough.”
“He’s your summoned monster? Is he very powerful? How many dragons can you summon?” Albert asked one after the other.
“He’s very powerful and I can only summon one for now. That means that if Yoda is working here, I will not be able to use him in battle,” Mark said.
Everyone observed Yoda flying above for a few minutes and Mark had to admit that the view of a powerful beautiful dragon flying above was an out-of-this-world experience especially if you came from a world devoid of magic.
