NOVEL NEXT Chapter 6: Facing a Gorilla Baby
Zakar turned to notice that a Gorilla Baby was feeding on a guy who was sitting beside him. His eyes widened lightly. He stared on as the Gorilla Baby feasted on the body of the man.
"Help!!!!...." he had exclaimed just before the beast plunged its deep claws into the chest of the man ripping out the heart of the man.
Zakar continued to stare at the Gorilla Baby before the system's mechanical voice echoed in his head.

Zakar stared at the hologram before him. Where did he obtain the rocks from and how? Was this system crazy or what?
Then he felt a cold whimper run through his body. He looked out butcit was already late. The Gorilla Baby had already slashed its nails faster than he could analyse.
He was catapulted backwards by the simple attack and it almost felt like he was extremely light. But he was.
"Damn it. Didn't see that coming." Zakar muttered as his hands greased over his wound on his neck. Fresh blood pumped out steadily.

"Fuck it. A single hit took that?! What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"
He didn't spend more time thinking about his fate. He quickly dodged a hard strike by the beast. He landed on his feet but the Gorilla Baby rushed at him with extreme speed, throwing him off balance.
Zakar was easily swept off the ground to strike his head hard against the ground but that didn't pain as much as the fangs of the Gorilla Baby digging into his left arm.
"Argghh!!!!''
"Damn it. Get off me!" he exclaimed and threw the beast off his body to smash against the ground just beside him.
"Engage Battle Mode. This damn thing isn't giving me time to breath."

Zakar smiled and stared at the Gorilla Baby a smirk appeared on his lips as he stared at it. It was finally time for him to test his combat skills on something.
He pushed his left leg backwards and shifted his weight to his left leg and in a second he exploded into a fierce speed, blinding behind him with dust.
He crashed his fists hard against the temple of the beast and to his shock the beast was projected farther than he had expected. The beast slammed across the Drelitte Rocks breaking them up in contact with them.
"That's cool."
Zakar then looked at his fists and clenched it tightly. A grin spread across his lips and his smile became eerie.
"Time for the final —"

"What the... It is dead already?"
Zakar stared at the interface in shock and amazement. He began to reason in that his rank was too much to be locked out. Maybe his D rank was still more overwhelming than most C ranks.
But there was a contradiction here. If his stats were that powerful and his single strike could kill a Gorilla Baby, how then was he not able to deflect a strike from a Gorilla Baby?
Probably because he was not in his Battle Mode. But that would mean that he would have to be in his Battle Mode always which was ridiculous.
Then another thought flashed through his mind and just as he was about to look up, he felt the air around him pause for a second.
'That's it. I didn't kill a thing. Someone from my group did. I didn't get any reward for the kill and that was supposed to be enough for me. Damn! My IQ is lower than I thought.'
He quickly ducked below a thundering blow from the Gorilla Baby. Then he quickly regained balance and dived towards the Gorilla Baby.
But this time the Gorilla Baby was fast enough to dodge his attack. Zakar stared mid motion in shock.
"How's it that fast?"

Zakar didn't look at the message. He clenched his fists tightly and dived again towards the Gorilla Baby but it dodged again and this time even more swiftly.
"What the..."
He gritted his teeth in anger and dived in again and this time with more speed. But it dodged the attack so swiftly that it seemed like they were not under gravity.
He attempted in more times and he only ended up burning his strength. His eyes laid fixed on the Gorilla Baby as he dangled lightly.
"Pst..."
'If only this thing knew that I am an SSS rank, it would understand that I am merciful.'
"With that, let's end this."
To his shock the beast charged towards him with extreme speed.

"Engaging what?!" Zakar exclaimed and in a the brink if a second, his dark blue pupils rolled in to display purple thick pupils.
As the beast swung up to land on him, he caught it midair and slammed it to the ground.
Then his fists dug into the head of the Gorilla Baby and within a second blood splattered over his face.

Zakar fell to the ground in exhaustion. Then he stared at the messages. His eyes roamed the messages but fixed at the Death Mode.
"Does this have to do with my system? I slayed that thing faster than a normal D rank would have. And what's with the Class 4 kill?" Zakar muttered faintly.

Zakar turned to see Sera shooting sporadically at a Gorilla Baby. Her bullets flying in the air. His mind raced instantly as her bullets tore through the skin of the beast. Then suddenly black energy flowed through the body of the Gorilla Baby and in the next second it exploded.
