Chapter 77: ... you're mistaken
"What did you do, mortal!?" (Trigon)
Trigon was questioning the mortal in front of him; after all, he could feel that something had changed in the multiverse, and seeing the golden aura surrounding the mortal, he knew he was the culprit.
"Nothing much, I just even the plainfield..."(Isaac)
With those words he lifted his right hand, and in the space above it an orb of condensed [Holy Magic] manifested itself.
*Flick*
At the flick of his wrist, the orb launched itself towards Trigon at an incredible speed.
*Zoom*
Trigon at first thought that it was just another useless trick, but the more the orb reached his body, the more an unfamiliar sensation was creeping on to him.
A forgotten emotion known as [Fear], his dormant survival instincts kick in just in time to dodge the orb that was coming straight to his chest.
*Haaa* *Ha* *Ha* *Ha*
He could hear rapid breathing as if someone had just escaped a very dangerous situation, only for him to realize that it was him who was breathing that way.
That realization triggered him...
"Gaaaahh!!!(Trigon)
*Boom*
He launched himself at Isaac; the anger he felt was immeasurable. Gone was his playful mind; the only thing that he was thinking right now was how to kill this mortal in front of him and wash away his shame.
*Zoom*
When he got in front of Isaac, he launched a straight right punch to his face powered by rage and dark energy.
*Crackle*
The fist started to distort the space around it, and little cracks started to appear.
Isaac only lifted his left hand, and a [Holy Magic Shield] appeared in front of him.
*Boom*
The fist collided with the shield, and to the amazement of Trigon, it didn't break; instead, his fist started to bleed, and not only that...
*Tsss*
...his energy, his blood, and his skin started to dissolve under the influence of the [Holy Magic].
"Ggaaaaghh!!(Trigon)
For the first time in a long, long time, the almighty Trigon felt pain.
Using this opportunity, Isaac started to make his move...
"[Holy Chains], [Holy Orbs]"(Isaac)
*Crack*
From the ground, the sky and both sides golden chains started to appear along with orbs of lights.
"Ggghh"(Trigon)
Trigon sensed them, and he knew that nothing good was waiting for him if he got himself chained to those things, so he started to avoid them, punching the orbs along the way, trying to make as much space between him and Isaac as possible.
Isaac just watched as the mighty Trigon was struggling to get himself out of the situation, but the chains and the orbs weren't the only things that he had prepared.
"[Holy Swords of Revealing Light]"(Isaac)
Above Isaac, three giant swords made out of holy magic materialize themselves; their gleam was blinding.
*Tsss*
The gleam of the swords started to burn Trigon's skin; only when that happened did he notice them floating in the sky above.
"You... insolent..." (Trigon)
He was cursing, punching the orbs, and dodging the chains at the same time.
"[Judgement](Isaac)
The swords moved at incredible speed, reaching Trigon in an instant....
*Splick*
*Tsss*
*Splick*
*Tsss*
*Splick*
*Tsss*
The three swords penetrate his tough skin; two swords were encrusted in both shoulders, reaching his ribs, and the third one penetrates his heart.
*Ching*
The [Holy Chains] reached their target, wrapping themselves around him, binding him along with the swords.
*Zim*
*Tsss*
*Zim*
*Tsss*
The [Holy Orbs] bounce around him, making his natural auto-regeneration almost impossible.
"Insolent mortal, I'm Trigon!!!"(Trigon)
*Boom*
A shockwave of dark energy swept all of Azarath, finishing up what's left; now only flat ground remained.
*Thumb*
*Tsss*
"Aggghhh(Trigon)
It was useless; the magic binding him was stronger but not without a price...
*Cough* *Cough*
*Splat*
*Thud*
With one knee on the ground, Isaac started to cough blood, his appearance more fragile, and his golden aura was bleaker than before.
"Ha, ha, ha, ha, you cannot hold me nor kill me, mortal"(Trigon).
With a mocking tone, Trigon spoke to the kneeling Isaac.
"Killing you? No, you are mistaken..." (Isaac)
With his left hand he wiped out his mouth, and then he pulled himself up; he had a grin on his face.
"...why would I want to kill someone that I know pretty well? After all, the universe needs balance; if I kill you, another one will take your place, and that will be a pain..." (Isaac)
Both of his hands started to make some signs in the air, and along with it, a [Magic Circle] was taking form.
"...as for holding you, well indeed I don't have the power yet, but, hey, who told you that I needed to do it personally?" (Isaac)
When he finished speaking, the [Magic Circle] was complete in front of him.
*Clap*
Clapping his hands together, the [Magic Circle] expanded; when it reached the appropriate size, it started to rotate flat, then it descended where Trigon was chained.
"Well played, mortal..." (Trigon)
His voice was calm; there were no signs of anger nor killing instinct, although he didn't recognize that magic, he knew that the mortal before him was prepared to face him a long time ago.
*Hmm*
When the [Magic Circle] touched the ground below him, something changed on Azarath; the connection he had with his realm was cut, and he could feel that the magic binding him became stronger.
The face of Trigon smiled, and then he looked at the battle-worn Isaac.
"...you know that I will be free one day"(Trigon)
What he said wasn't a threat; it was a fact. He had his ways.
************
On the island the mood was somber, although the Azarathians were well received by the automatons, their worries about their home prevented them from enjoying their stay on the beautiful island.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid Isaac" (Raven)
Raven was pacing back and forth in Isaac's room on top of the Ivory Tower; as for her mother,.
*Flip* *Flip*
She was checking the vast collection of books that he had in the library, but the curious thing was that she was flipping some pages of some books and then from others as if searching for something.
At this, Nayru, Issac's companion, could not hold it any longer and spoke.
"You need to trust my master; he isn't the type to make rash decisions..." Nayru
When she was trying to defend him, she was interrupted by Arella still flipping the pages of the books.
"Hasn't he looked at himself in another dimension for 30 years without telling anyone?" (Arella)
"Ugh, yeah, but he..." (Nayru)
Before she could respond, Raven spoke, still walking back and forth.
"Didn't he confront an evil mage and his followers by himself without telling anyone?" (Raven)
'Ugh, master, please come back already!' (Nayru)
The poor Nayru didn't have any choice but to fly awkwardly on top of one of the desks.
After the longest 30 minutes that Nayru had ever felt in her life, she saw that Arella and Raven could not hold it anymore, and they were going to start doing something.
That's when a golden portal appeared in the middle of the room. From the portal a person came through. As soon as he stepped foot in the room, the portal disappeared and the door of the room was open.
Through the doors, two medical automatons came; one picked up the person, and the other was checking his vitals while walking outside.
All of this happened too fast; by the time it all registered in their brains, they were already following them.
"Isaac, master!"(Arella, Raven, Nayru)
