Chapter 445: "I Didn’t Come to Ask for Your Opinion."
Wall of Origin.
The Wall of Origin has always been regarded as the boundary, the prison, and the place of despair in the realm of the gods.
It is a prison that even the Only Gods dare not touch lightly.
Once, it was a space of total despair—pain, loneliness, silence, and cold—that made even the highest of gods tremble.
But ever since Bardi became Origin and left the Wall of Origin behind...
The Wall had begun to loosen.
A growing number of Only Gods were now able to lick, absorb, and devour the source energy within the Wall in reverse, gradually restoring their lost vitality and divine power.
They were merely waiting, waiting until they had accumulated enough strength to finally break free of the instinctive imprisonment of the Wall of Origin.
Now, every night, the Wall buzzed with singing, laughter, bragging, arguments, swearing, and emotional outbursts. The chaotic soundscape resembled a divine-level marketplace.
It was the most vibrant time the Wall of Origin had ever seen.
Gods laughed.
Gods cursed.
Some gods stood proud and scoffed at all creation.
Others fantasized about rising to dominion again.
Still more shared ancient secrets from times long buried.
But then, Bardi appeared.
And in that instant, the once-lively divine marketplace fell completely silent.
Every Only God turned their gaze toward him.
The Creator God, Bardi's old neighbor in this prison, was mid-sentence when he noticed him. He immediately cut off his ramblings about ancient secrets, reflecting the stunned inner voice of everyone present.
> "Origin… why have you come back here?"
Many of the imprisoned Only Gods grew uneasy. They feared that Bardi, like the Origin of the previous era, had returned to uphold the peace of the world… by suppressing them.
Bardi's gaze swept across the Wall, lined with countless imprisoned gods. He looked left and right, his divine sight stretching beyond the limits of vision. He couldn't even see the end of them. Finally, his eyes settled on the Creator God.
The aura of the Creator God had changed. It no longer reeked of death and decay. His body still looked like dry bones, but his eyes radiated vitality, the energy of creation itself.
"I'm here," Bardi said, staring directly at him. "I want your help… to conquer Heaven."
The Wall of Origin held a massive number of Only Gods. Among them were ancient beings from the same era as the Source itself. There were far too many—both new and old—each one stuck to the Wall like flies on glass.
And their numbers far surpassed the few First-Stage Only Gods Heaven had managed to recruit.
If even a fraction of these gods assisted him, he could easily crush Heaven under sheer divine force.
The moment Bardi finished speaking, a tidal wave of chatter erupted across the Wall of Origin.
> "Did I hear that right?"
> "Hahaha! Conquer Heaven?"
> "This guy's insane."
> "Heaven has lasted three eras! It stands through storm and judgment. And you think you can conquer it?"
> "Young gods… so naïve. Just because you ascended doesn't mean you can think."
> "Forgive me for not bowing."
> "Who do you think you are?"
> "I once fought toward Heaven myself… only to be kicked back down by an angel before I even touched the gate."
> "Origin, clearly you're just another fool with delusions."
There was mocking.
There was scorn.
Some accused Bardi of being shameless, while others laughed at his ambition, thinking it madness born of envy.
Some had once ruled realms, tried to challenge Heaven, and had been thrown down in shame.
Others had never even tried, placing Heaven on a pedestal. They laughed at Bardi like he was a child.
It surprised Bardi.
After so many centuries—three full eras—the number of Only Gods bound to the Wall of Origin had reached a staggering total.
And yet, no one dared to believe in victory.
No one liked the idea of Heaven. The Only Gods, by nature, were unbound, absolutely free. Why would they want a higher force judging them?
They weren't fools. They knew the truth. The combined force of the First-, Second-, and Third-Stage Only Gods trapped on the Wall could obliterate Heaven if united.
Still, none of them believed it could be done.
> "Origin, you underestimate Heaven."
The Creator God shook his head.
If he had a choice, he wouldn't touch Heaven again.
He truly couldn't stand it.
Heaven wasn't really heaven.
It was a divine gateway to repression. Any god with real experience—any who knew the deeper truths—would never dream of going there.
Only the freshly ascended, full of youthful fire, wanted to challenge the sky, defy Heaven, break its power. But after they were beaten bloody and chained to the Wall by angels, the older gods taught them the truth.
Clearly, this new Origin lacked that knowledge.
> "Heaven isn't so simple."
Bardi nodded.
He agreed with their cowardice.
But...
> "I didn't come to ask for your opinion."
He looked down like a towering god, face expressionless. His cold gaze swept over the Only Gods who had insulted him. He casually reached out his hand, grasping at the air.
The Wall of Origin quaked.
Boom.
Crash.
Boom.
Crash.
Boom.
The sound of exploding bodies echoed in the chaos.
More than a hundred of the mocking, cursing, arrogant Only Gods exploded into divine gore on the spot.
Silence.
Utter horror.
> "What?!"
> "He's dead—he's really dead!"
> "That one… he was just beside me!"
> "He can't come back! He's really gone!"
> "Origin… Origin can kill us!"
Panic erupted. Fear gripped the divine prison.
Across the entire realm of gods, killing an Only God was nearly impossible.
The Source would not act. The Primordial Beasts had vanished. The Monitors could not enter beyond the Wall.
Even for a Monitor to kill a god, it would take endless effort and ages of attrition.
But now—Bardi had just killed over a hundred in an instant.
The psychological shock was massive.
The Wall of Origin, once rowdy, fell deathly silent.
The Creator God exhaled in resignation.
He had thought the new Origin might threaten them with eternal imprisonment.
He hadn't expected him to be able to kill gods outright—leaving no room for refusal.
> "I will assist you!
One god suddenly shouted with fervor.
Death was terrifying.
They had been locked away for centuries, always hoping for a day of freedom. Better to follow Bardi than be crushed when freedom finally arrives.
> "I will assist you!"
> "There is no path in Heaven. All living things are lost. Now is the time for justice to rise. Origin must lead us to reclaim the divine realm and restore the light! Justice will prevail! Origin will prevail!"
The Only Gods erupted in wild fervor, as though their Lord of Destiny had finally arrived.
It seemed the Only Gods had an extremely flexible moral baseline.
Bardi had expected this. His expression remained calm as he slowly lowered his hand.
> "Origin, you mustn't let them out!"
Suddenly, a divine voice rang out from beyond the Wall of Origin.
(To be continued.)
