DC: Rise of the Kryptonian Tyrant

Chapter 423: Herald Controversy

Bardi's body stood tall and unparalleled, towering on the Wall of Origin that spanned the universe.

Infinite divine light erupted from the surface of his divine form, reflecting him as a figure of divine brilliance. The holy radiance surged into the sky, illuminating the void, as sacred as a supreme angel of light.

The blood-red Wall of Origin had become his ration, a divine source fueling his power.

He had become eternal brilliance. On the blood-red Wall of Origin, he radiated light that pierced the heavens, and his mighty form was reflected in the eyes of every terrified One God.

"He can act upon the Wall of Origin!"

A One God still in shock exclaimed. Witnessing Bardi bite the Wall of Origin was already an event that would echo for eternity. Ever since the Wall of Origin began trapping One Gods, turning this place into their eternal tomb, no such earth-shattering, mind-breaking spectacle had ever occurred.

And now, someone was able to bite into the source of the Wall of Origin, devour that source energy to strengthen himself, and even break free from its grip. This was harder than becoming a god. No One God had ever done it.

For countless years, through the Eternal Cross-Era, on this wall that sealed the universe, a god had finally emerged who could break free.

"Hahahaha!!!"

"We waited countless years, and finally proved the Wall of Origin is not the grave of the One Gods!"

"Tell us your name, and complete the legacy that no One God has ever fulfilled in history!"

"You will be the one we look to, the hope of every trapped One God, the pathfinder for our future!"

"One day, I too will break free!"

An ancient being, aged beyond counting, its terrifying form close to skeletal, roared. Its hoarse and ghastly voice carried across the wall.

It had seen hope. It saw that the path forward had not been completely severed.

The Wall of Origin no longer symbolized despair.

"No. He's not the first to walk the Wall of Origin!"

Another One God objected. It was incredibly difficult for any One God to become a figure of direction and unity in their eyes.

This wasn't about admiration or flattery, as ordinary mortals might express. This was something deeper—an inexplicable power rooted in the hearts of the trapped One Gods. If one was recognized by them, deemed a pioneer, the first, it would create a centripetal force drawing others to follow that path.

And that path was the only one left: to break free from the Wall of Origin. Across the three great eras and countless years, no One God had achieved this.

In truth, as Bardi bit into the Wall of Origin and revealed his evolving body, some among them had already started to lean toward him. This was unprecedented. No god had done this before. They had seen a sliver of hope.

And now, he stood atop the Wall of Origin. Even the ancient One Gods, the very first to be imprisoned here, had awakened and acknowledged him as the pioneer, the first god, the first to move upon the Wall. He brought them hope in their endless prison of time.

If he could do it, so could they.

"Hahaha! Are you referring to Yuga Khan?"

"Yes, that's right. Yuga Khan was the first to be considered our pioneer, the first to gather the One Gods' focus."

"In theory, yes."

"You're not wrong."

A solemn discussion broke out among the One Gods. They understood that in the future, they would need to define the traits of a pioneer. Through their shared focus, they would establish a template—qualities, paths, power levels, and objectives—that would help them break free from the Wall of Origin. All their energy would be channeled toward this goal.

"But Yuga Khan only had the Master Monitor's technical support…"

A One God hesitated. Yuga Khan didn't rely solely on his own strength. It was the Prime Monitor's technology that allowed him to walk the Wall of Origin.

But regardless, he had walked it.

They were all proud and incomparably arrogant. God Kings, Overlords, Divine Emperors, Demon Gods—beings worshipped and feared across infinite universes. No single One God could convince them, no single being could earn their submission.

Yet now, in the long, desperate eons upon the Wall of Origin, a god had finally appeared.

A god who could act upon and even escape the Wall of Origin.

Before, it was Yuga Khan. Now, it was Bardi.

"He's just the Prime Monitor's dog."

One of the ancient One Gods, previously known as Badibao, revealed a cold truth.

Yuga Khan was the Master Monitor's servant, his tool.

On the Wall of Origin, there were dozens of ancient One Gods, beings who had existed before the current eras. They had once contended with the Master Monitor. Some had even surpassed him in power. They could defeat him when there was nothing—only lacking the luck or timing to escape. In the end, they were imprisoned by God through the Wall of Origin.

If Yuga Khan became their focal point, their model, it would mean learning from a defeated servant—a tool of the Monitor.

That was an unacceptable humiliation.

Especially since Yuga Khan hadn't moved of his own strength.

The Wall of Origin fell silent.

Boom...

A colossal figure approached from the far side of the Wall of Origin, clad in blood-red armor and a sturdy horned helmet. His presence exuded fury and overwhelming might.

"I've finally caught up to you!" Yuga Khan's face was terrifying, like a monstrous ape. His eyes bulged, his mouth twisted into a wide grin as he saw Bardi. His excitement was palpable.

His massive form radiated dread, like something crawling out of the abyss. His body was cracked and dense, his armor leaking blood. From afar, he locked his gaze on Bardi, joyful and eager.

He held no malice toward Bardi. He was thrilled to see another who could escape the Wall of Origin and fight beside him.

The divine light that had radiated from Bardi's pores withdrew back into his body. His glowing form, reminiscent of a light angel, dimmed and returned to its evolved state. His body bristled with bone spurs, his skin and face marked with icy bone patterns. His teeth were white and jagged, sharp as mountain peaks. He stood like a bone-spur demon emerging from an icy abyss, silently looming in the cold, barren void.

"Yuga Khan," Bardi said coldly, anger rising within him.

His form cut across a section of the universe. The once-helpless being now stood tall, facing Yuga Khan from afar.

Suddenly, rage ignited in his dark eyes. He bared his terrifyingly sharp teeth, his expression feral and cold. With tremendous force, he struck out in Yuga Khan's direction, his punch shaking the Wall of Origin.

"Atonement for your son!!"
