Chapter 399: God Superman
Within the twisted blood of the Blood Domain.
Golden Superman's immense figure floated faintly amidst the crimson current.
His golden arms cradled the Origin Universe in his palms. His body stood tall, and across his golden face flickered a faint ruthlessness and a sigh of pity for all living beings, yet there was not a trace of emotion.
He had merged with countless Supermen across the multiverse, regardless of good or evil. Based on Golden Superman as the foundation, the DC Cartoonist Gate of the Origin Universe had drawn the strongest form to date.
After Bardi destroyed the multiverse and devoured all 52 Origin Universes, Superboy-Prime also merged into Golden Superman's body, creating the most powerful Superman to ever exist—a Superman whose strength had surpassed even the threshold of a quasi-One-and-Only God.
And because of the fusion of countless Supermen, his emotions had nearly vanished. Like a god, he loved all living beings, but could now view all things with perfect rationality.
"Enough."
"Barmulodi, you have destroyed the multiverse and devoured the 52 Origin Universes."
"That is enough. Leave."
Golden Superman's face remained expressionless. He did not mention Lois Lane, because in this state, Superman had already accepted her sacrifice at Bardi's hands. To him now, preserving the Origin Universe mattered far more.
Lois no longer held any meaning to this Superman.
As long as the Origin Universe survived, it could give birth to new universes. The multiverse would be reborn and thrive again.
"Golden Superman, I told you, return my wife."
"Your wife, don't you want her?"
In the Blood Domain, the Devil God Bardi stood tall, facing the distant Golden Superman.
Golden Superman could sacrifice Lois to save the Origin Universe, but Bardi would not let Raven die without reason.
The Origin Universe was the final anchor point in the Blood Domain.
In Bardi's eyes, once he destroyed the Origin Universe, he would be able to perceive everything within the Blood Domain—including Mandrakk's hiding place—and even the Fifth Dimension would be revealed.
"Just a wife."
Golden Superman's voice was devoid of emotion. His tone did not fluctuate, but he spoke with absolute conviction.
"I know Lois. She understood that her sacrifice could save the multiverse. She would have gladly given her life."
"You don't need to threaten me, Barmulodi."
Golden Superman's golden eyes were calm and sharp. His face showed no expression, as if simply stating facts.
This Superman had transcended. He was no longer merely Golden Superman. A Superman who loved all beings without attachment—this was a God Superman.
The blood-soaked skies of the Blood Domain glistened like liquid light. As if sunlight reflected off its surface, the distorted glow shone brightly under the crimson sky. It was deeply corrosive, eroding all things.
Both God Superman and Bardi possessed immense power, enough to withstand the cosmic corruption of this heavenly blood.
The two giants floated within the Blood Domain like colossal entities drifting in an endless sea, locked in silent stares.
"Heartless justice."
Bardi's expression turned cold. He sneered as his massive divine body launched forward.
Boom.
The Blood Domain quaked. Blood splattered violently.
A single punch crossed several light-years. The force sent waves through the Blood Domain's crimson waters.
God Superman's gaze remained calm. There was still a sorrowful compassion for all life in his eyes, but no emotion. He raised his right hand and met the incoming punch with his palm.
God Superman possessed strength beyond the level of a Quasi-One-and-Only God, even rivaling some ordinary One-and-Only Gods. His immense power left him emotionally detached, ruled only by the belief in universal love.
Then, Bardi's fist met God Superman's palm.
What happened next shocked even Bardi.
God Superman's palm was instantly pierced by the punch. His golden arm fractured, twisting into a grotesque shape. Bone protruded, golden blood sprayed, dyeing the surrounding Blood Domain with a hazy gold mist.
Bardi froze.
He had sensed that God Superman possessed power rivaling a One-and-Only God. He hadn't expected God Superman to defeat him, but at least he should have lasted a few rounds.
He never imagined that, after destroying the multiverse and devouring all 52 Origin Universes, he had become so powerful that even a Superman at this level could be smashed in just one or two hits.
"Aaahhh!!"
God Superman roared. Blue veins surged like dragons across his golden body. The emotionless compassion vanished from his face.
Struck at an impossible speed, his golden form flew backward like an airship skimming across water, leaving behind a wide trail of golden blood.
Bardi's divine face twisted into a cruel grin. Sharp teeth flashed at the corners of his mouth.
Initially, he thought God Superman had reached the level of a true One-and-Only God. He had believed him to be a worthy opponent. But to break his arm with one punch and send him screaming?
Only now did Bardi realize that, while God Superman held the power of an ordinary One-and-Only God, he was still not the One-and-Only God.
And Bardi—after destroying the multiverse and absorbing the vast informational density of the 52 Origin Universes—had already surpassed that level. Among One-and-Only Gods, he now stood at the pinnacle.
Compared to him, this so-called God Superman was mere trash.
How interesting.
"You think you can stop me like this?"
Bardi sneered, stepping forward to pursue the reeling God Superman. With another strike, he blasted a hole in Superman's chest. Then he snapped his arm, grabbed his body, and spun him like a giant windmill.
God Superman screamed repeatedly.
A strike from the One-and-Only God struck not only the physical body, but the soul. The pain was unimaginable.
There was no sun in the Blood Domain. No up or down. No left or right.
Eventually, Bardi left behind a long trail of golden blood across the Blood Domain. His massive divine body bared sharp teeth in a grin as he grabbed one of God Superman's legs and dragged him back like a broken doll.
God Superman was unconscious, battered into submission. Bardi now intended to turn him into chocolate and eat him.
Dragging the defeated God Superman behind him, Bardi turned his gaze to the Origin Universe. Just as his massive hand reached to seize and devour it—
A Watcher-class ship broke through the waves of the Blood Domain.
Mandrakk's eyes glinted with cold, electronic light. Looking at the broken form of God Superman, he spoke in surprise.
"Your Majesty Barmulodi, we... are ready to make the deal you want."
(To be continued.)
