Cursed to level 1 with an Ego weapon

The three Ice Bolts hit Oswald. One in the head, two in the torso, and he gets pushed by each until he falls outside of the building.

I walk inside the destroyed room.

"You damn idiot! Why didn't you come looking for me?!" I say to Aurelia. "Imagine I get here a bit later?! What would have happened?!"

"Heh... I know you got my back, so I knew you were coming, you beautiful bastard."

"Tche... Don't just make that mistake again!"

"She is more idiot than brave." Karina says. "Good thing she is way hard to get rid off."

"Aurelia, that was extremely dangerous!" Lisa approaches and starts to heal her, using [Light Heal] on her.

"I hope you can heal fast, because we have got a big problem." I say.

Outside, Oswald is screaming.

"Dammit! Who the fuck did that?!" He screams. I suppose he did not see me. "Everyone, go inside and kill them all!"

He is directing the rest of the mages towards us. I see them jump from the building and into the inner patio, and start to walk towards us. There are too many, they could easily overwhelm us.

But Aurelia, still hurting and bleeding, puts her fingers in her mouth and whistles.

ROOOOOOOAR

A thunderous roar echoes through the city, causing the mages to freeze in the spot. Right, why didn't she do this before?!

Another roar follows and the next thing I hear is one of the mages.

"Shit! It's the dragon!"

They start to disperse as a breath of fire falls on them, catching some before they can escape.

"How did you train that thing already?" I ask her.

"Meh, dragonkin magic... Shit!" She loses her footing for a second, and stumbles forward. Worried, I caught her. "I hate being like this..."

"You can rest now. I will take it from here."

And as I say that, Oswald comes Rushing towards me. I manage to activate [Magic Shield] in time for his sword to hit it and get deflected.

I smirk.

"And to think you were nice when we met." I answer while I watch him jump back and keep his distance.

"Heh... I defeated the strong one, what do you think a weakened mage like you can do to me?"

I check his attire. A piece of armor that I don't know what it is. It has gemstones as decorations. Rings and other jewelry to get more enchantments. I have no way to know if anything he is wearing is Mystic or not. But one thing is certain.

"I imagine you came prepared to fight Aurelia, right?" I ask him. "Your equipment must be fire resistant, physical damage reduction... And maybe electric and magical damage to take advantage of her weaknesses while fighting against her strengths... Incredible."

He does not respond, but I know I am right. If this was a trap for her, then he must have prepared. He is making the same mistake as that woman in the jail, believing I am the weak one while Aurelia is the one causing all the issues.

"Aurelia doesn't use the same elements as I do, and you should have waited for that woman of the Eye to wake up to ask her questions... Because it was not Aurelia who beat her."

"What...?"

I close the gap, I pull out Bloodless and touch the part of the metallic Dark Steel Blade that is exposed, and cast a spell. I am going to show him the mistake he made by trying to murder Aurelia and who is the weak one here!

Just like when I was fighting in the jail. I felt the warmth in my chest, directly from the amulet that is hanging from my neck.

Even when the items he is wearing are most likely tailored to resist specific elements, they still must be giving him the basics: HP, MP, skills, modifiers... So going all out is not a mistake, it is the best I can do.

I am not letting him escape. I am ending this whole madness right here!

I do remember I explained some time ago that I have a repertoire of spells, yet I have been repeatedly using a few ones. Why? Charges. The majority of my spells except for the most basic ones have little uses, while the most simple ones are common, good enough, and they all are common enough to find in any magic shop. But if I hold back here, I might fall victim to a trick or one of my friends might end up hurt once more. I am not allowing that. I am not letting anyone have a similar fate to what happened to Kathrina.

And many others of Electricity, Fire, Ice and Sound. Low on charges because the books are rare.

I cast [Burst cone of Ice] directly on Oswald. That is an ice spell that makes a cone of cold area that pushes from the palm of my hand, causing damage and pushing enemies away.

Oswald gets thrown back towards the patio. I follow, on my way out I use [Ice Spear].

I need to be more careful with my casting. These spells use more MP than the basic ones, but thanks to the level ups obtained for Bloodless and the amulet I am wearing, I can cast them without issue.

A spear made of solid ice spawns in my hand and I throw it in Oswald's direction. He dodges, and attempts to run at me.

"You trickster son of a...!" He screams and swings his sword and an electric bold gets hurled towards me.

The attack shatters my [Magic Shield], but it keeps me unharmed. In response, I flick the wrist of my right hand.

The spear, which got pierced onto a wall, returns to me with the same speed and hits him in the back, burying itself in his right shoulder.

"Aaagh!" He screams in pain
