Crossover: I Took In a Runaway High School Girl

Chapter 136: Otaku?

On the way, there was one more person listening to Yuki's speech: Sumireko Sanshokuin. She hadn't expected Renji to have such a beautiful younger sister, who even transferred from an elite girls-only school just for the guy.

"Um, Suou-san, from what you're saying, was Renji an otaku before?" Sumireko asked with a teasing tone.

"Yes. What do you think now that you know this?" Yuki asked in return, trying to provoke a negative reaction.

Sayu smiled a little. "I think that's a good thing. Renji even made an animation with Misaki-senpai. He's not just a consuming otaku."

Mahiru nodded in agreement. "I think that's good too. No wonder he can write such a good script, since he's loved comics and light novels since he was a child."

Yuki was surprised. She wanted to ruin Renji's reputation in their eyes, but her plan had completely failed. Most beautiful girls should hate otaku, right? Even though she herself was a hidden otaku.

Seeing Yuki's expression, Sumireko immediately understood. She smiled and said, "Suou-san, as a sister, you're falling far behind, you know."

"Yeah, but I'll work hard and I'll never lose to any of you!" Yuki said in a determined tone.

When they arrived at Sobu High School, Yuki completed her transfer procedures and was assigned to the international class—the same class as Yukinoshita Yukino. She actually wanted to be in Class F with Renji, but to maintain the good name of the Suou family, she had to enter the best class.

After introducing herself, Yuki sat in an empty seat. Her eyes immediately fell on Yukinoshita Yukino, who was sitting gracefully and straight. Yukino's cold aura made people hesitate to approach her, but Yuki knew it was just a mask to cover her social awkwardness. She had seen the two Yukinoshita sisters at family events before. Yuki was a little envious of Yukino because the girl didn't have a sister who could crush her in everything, unlike Yukino who was always in the shadow of Haruno onee-san.

After class ended, Yuki easily handled the curiosity of her classmates. She turned and walked over to Yukino, extending her hand. "Long time no see, classmate Yukino."

"Yes, long time no see. Can I help you with something?" Yukino raised an eyebrow, shaking her hand. She wondered why Yuki was suddenly talking to her.

"Let's go outside and talk. There are too many people here, it's not comfortable," Yuki invited.

"Alright," Yukino agreed.

After they found a quiet place, Yuki went straight to the point. "Yukino, I want to join your club!"

Yukino was surprised. "Why?"

"Because Onii-chan is there, so of course I have to join."

"Your brother... Renji?" Yukino thought there was only one boy in her club.

"Yes. So, what's your answer?"

Yukino frowned. "Since when was he your brother?"

"From the very beginning. Why, didn't he tell you?"

"No."

Yukino suddenly remembered their conversation yesterday. Renji said he wanted to tell her about his childhood, but she stopped him. She regretted it now.

"Then, can I join? Yukino, I'm not just anyone. I was the student council president at my old school, so it would be easier for you to accept me as a member."

"But I like to solve commissions myself," Yukino replied, her instincts telling her to reject Yuki.

Yuki smiled slyly. "Why? Are you afraid I'll take Renji, which is why you don't dare to accept me? If so, you're too selfish."

Yukino glared at Yuki in annoyance. "Who's afraid?! And... didn't you say he's your brother? What is there to 'steal'?"

"Hehe, I'm glad you think so, Yukino-san. Please guide me in the future!" Yuki held Yukino's hand tightly, looking at her expectantly.

Yukino felt uncomfortable with the enthusiasm. She hurriedly pulled her hand away, pretending to be calm. "Since you sincerely want to be a member, I certainly have no reason to refuse."

"Hehe, I know the club president's orders are absolute," Yuki winked, making Yukino embarrassed.

"Didn't Sumireko tell you? About Renji's participation in my club?" Yukino asked.

"That's right."

Yukino sighed. This Sumireko really liked to tease. Now, she was collaborating with Yuki.

"By the way, classmate Yuki, you still haven't told me why you said Renji was your brother from the beginning."

Yuki looked at her in surprise. "Yukino, you didn't know? I thought you investigated him carefully before inviting Renji to the club." She let out a dramatic sigh. "I'm truly amazed by your sluggishness. My brother, Renji Kamisaka, his real name is Renji Suou."

Yukino gasped. She seemed to understand why her mother had been so insistent on their engagement. It turned out that the playboy had an identity like that.

"I know you must be wondering why Onii-chan isn't the heir, right? That's all to protect me. Onii-chan is the gentlest person, that's why I like him the most," Yuki said with a bright smile. "Let's get along well in the future, club president. I have a feeling we'll get along."
