Crossover: I Took In a Runaway High School Girl

Chapter 135: Yuki Suou joining Sakurasou

In the steamy bathroom, Yuki Suou fell silent for a moment, her mind replaying the scene in Renji's room. A faint smile played on her lips.

"I'm relieved Onii-chan is so energetic."

Yet, beneath that smile, there was something so intense. It was a little frightening, but it also made her more curious.

"But I, Yuki Suou, will not back down!"

The girl made a silent decision, clenching her fists in front of the fogged-up mirror, encouraging herself. After that, she quickly wrapped herself in a bath towel and ran out. In a flash, she was in her own room, just a short distance from Renji's.

"Onii-chan, help me dry my hair!"

She sat on the bed, looking adorable, with an expression that seemed to say, "If you don't help me, I won't leave."

Renji smiled and nodded. "Alright, I'll be right there."

He took a hairdryer from the drawer, plugged it in, and approached Yuki. Gently, he ran his hands through her hair, drying it with practiced, rhythmic movements. The action felt surprisingly familiar.

Yuki closed her eyes, enjoying the attention. Suddenly, her expression changed. She opened her eyes and looked at Renji, her tone accusatory. "Why are you so skilled, Onii-chan? Do you often dry other girls' hair?"

"Yes," Renji replied casually, his focus on the hair in his hands. "I already told you I have a girlfriend."

"Damn it!" Yuki exclaimed in frustration, clenching her fists in anger. "Someone got there first!" Her expression, however, quickly turned to one of fierce determination. "But that's okay. When you get tired of playing with your girlfriend, it'll be Yuki's turn. Onii-chan, I will always be waiting for you!"

Renji sighed, feeling overwhelmed. "Just live here for now, then we can talk about other things." He looked at Yuki's reflection in the mirror, trying to convey his sincerity. "Even though I'm not sure if your story is true, I'll believe it for now because you're so cute. After this, you need to get along well with everyone."

"Let me introduce you to the others in Sakurasou Dorm right now."

To avoid any further questions, Renji quickly listed the names of the dorm residents. Of course, he didn't mention Frieren and Fern's identities as mages, a secret he guarded strictly.

Yuki nodded, counting on her fingers as if making a list. Suddenly, she pouted and looked at Renji with sharp eyes. "Onii-chan, why are all the residents of Sakurasou Dorm girls, except for you? Are they all your girlfriends?"

Renji raised an eyebrow, a playful smile on his face. "What do you think?"

"Ugh, total failure!" Yuki suddenly threw herself onto the bed, burying her head in a pillow and pretending to cry. "When will you get tired of playing with them? When will it be my turn?"

Renji could only rub his temples. This girl was a real headache.

"Don't talk nonsense, I'm not 'playing around'," he grumbled.

There was a moment of silence. Yuki's voice sounded muffled, like a sad whisper. "I know... you wanted to say you're serious about all of them, right? In that case... Onii-chan also needs to be more serious about Yuki in the future."

The soft, vulnerable tone in her voice made Renji fall silent. Her mood changed so quickly, like a child who suddenly became an adult.

"Yes, yes, I get it. Yuki is very serious too," Renji said, patting the girl's head. "Now that your hair is dry, you should go to sleep."

Hearing that, Yuki looked at him pitifully. "Can I sleep here? And... I don't have a change of clothes, please give me your shirt!"

Renji finally gave her his shirt and arranged a room for Yuki on the second floor. He let out a sigh of relief after making sure the girl was safe in her room.

Yuki happily put on her new "Onii-chan" shirt and went to bed with a contented smile, leaving Renji lost in deep thought.

Renji began to consider another possibility. Yuki spoke so seriously, as if everything she said was an undeniable truth. The man realized his own memories of his parents were very vague. He had always assumed it was part of his "system" as a time traveler. But was there another possibility? Could he actually be a member of the Suou family who, for some reason, had been separated and forgotten everything about Yuki? Could Sakurasou Dorm be compensation from the Suou family, a home so he could survive without having to work hard?

The next day, at the Sakurasou Dorm dining table, the morning atmosphere felt different. A graceful young woman was sitting there.

"Hello, I'm Yuki Suou, Onii-chan's sister. This is our first meeting, please guide me!" Yuki introduced herself with a bright smile and perfect, respectful posture.

Sayu, Mahiru, and the others looked at Renji with curiosity, waiting for his explanation.

Renji just smiled and nodded. "Yuki will be staying at Sakurasou Dorm from now on, let's all get along well," he said, neither denying nor confirming the "sister" claim.

During breakfast, Yuki maintained her smile, sitting upright and eating with great elegance. Shiina Mahiru looked at her and felt a similarity to Yukinoshita Yukino—an elegance that only girls from prominent families possessed.

While eating, Yuki secretly observed the other girls. There was the innocent Shiina Mahiru, the naive Shiina Mashiro, and the warm Sayu Ogiwara. She could see the way Mahiru and Sayu looked at Renji—it was clearly full of love. So, they are both Onii-chan's girlfriends? And Sakurajima Mai, whose name she knew. Her gaze was also unusual. Damn, does Onii-chan have more than one girlfriend?

Yuki felt great pressure. No wonder Renji was indifferent when she appeared yesterday wrapped only in a towel. The man had become immune to the charm of beautiful girls. She looked at the adorable Mahiru, the cheerful Sayu, the tsundere Mai, and the noisy yet lively Misaki. Yuki felt there were a lot of rivals. Not to mention Frieren and Fern, who supposedly never ate breakfast with them. But she had a feeling... those two also had a deep relationship with Renji.

After breakfast, Renji took Mashiro to Mitsuko's place, while Mahiru invited Yuki to the train platform, and they started chatting. As Renji's girls, Mahiru and Sayu naturally wanted to know more about the man's childhood.

Yuki was immediately excited. "So what if they got here first? she thought. Onii-chan and I have unique memories, that's the most precious treasure!"

She began to tell her story enthusiastically. "When I was little, Onii-chan always seemed so cold. Even though he was right beside me, it felt like he was so far away, as if we came from two different worlds." She continued, "Then I found out Onii-chan liked things in the second dimension, like comics and light novels! He even said this third dimension was a 'crap game'. Luckily there was Yuki, otherwise this world would have been too terrible!" She chuckled. "I liked Onii-chan so much that I bothered him all day for stories. He always loved to tell stories about Yuuki, and he also said he wanted to try 'German orthopedics'..."

Mahiru and Sayu exchanged glances. Their expressions turned awkward. Girl, are you sure the person you're talking about is Renji?
