Crimson System of Vampire Prince

Chapter 51: Attacking Sister

Zara frowned as she saw Kate storming out of the hall. She muttered, "What happened to her?"

Vladiyus also noticed her, but he didn't linger on it. He kept eating, and the mountain food vanished in a few seconds.

"Hello, Sir Vladiyus Gladiator." A young man stood beside and bowed respectfully to Vladiyus.

"Hmm, slam ts you!" He replied with a mouth full of food.

Aslan's brown eyes squinted, but his smile widened, "Sir, there's no need for the courtesy between friends. Can I?" he pointed at the empty chair beside him. Vladiyus nodded without much thought and took a sip of grape juice. Aslan smiled and sat beside him. He stole a glance at Zara sitting right across from him.

"So, Aslan Kauffman, a popular senior, can I ask a reason why Your Excellency decided to grace me with his presence?" Vladiyus mocked him with a smirk.

Aslan smiled, pouring juice for himself and took a sip. He placed the glass back on the table and glanced. "My friend, I'm just here to say 'Hello' to the future Lord of the Gladiator family. After all, the Kauffman family has a close business with most nobles in the Capital."

Vladiyus smiled at the flattery. He remarked, "You've got quite a sweet tongue, I must say."

Aslan brought the glass closer to his lips and peeked at Zara, whose eyes were glued somewhere else.

"We are Kauffman, Sir Vladiyus," Aslan replied and turned, following Zara's gaze. He scowled as he noticed where she was looking.

'Victor Hans, the mission I got a day ago. Let's send the intel to Raka about him.'  A smirk appeared on Aslan's face as he turned back again.

Zara stood up and left the Main Hall. She stopped in a corner of the corridor going toward the Black faction, and leaning against the wall, she waited. Victor also stood up and walked toward his dorms. The sand-like plain taste of food still lingered on his tongue. His face was all scrunched up in distaste.

As he walked along the empty corridor, a hand came out of nowhere and pulled him into a corner. It took him by surprise, and before he could react, he noticed who had pulled him here. He calmed down, and a warm smile appeared on his face. He whispered, "How are you, Zara?"

Zara's trembling eyes raised and then moved away from him. Her cheeks turned red from embarrassment. "I… I wanted... to meet you."

Victor extended his hand and patted her head. "Don't worry about anything else. Just let me know whenever you want to meet me, and I will be there."

Zara smiled, regaining her confidence. "We are trying to find a secret place where we could meet without anyone noticing," she whispered, but her eyes couldn't make contact with him.

"We? You and?" Victor asked in confusion.

"and Kate." She replied

"Oh, okay, let me know if you find one, and I'll also try." He replied and walked toward his dorm.

"Okay, see you later." Zara waved her hand and ran in the opposite direction.

Victor stopped in his tracks and stared at the figure of Zara moving away from him. He sighed with a wry smile and walked into his dorm room.

Aslan appeared out of the shadows where the couple had stood moments before. A menacing smile etched on his face, he licked his lips and whispered, "A delulu couple, it will be fun playing with her." As he moved away, he stumbled into a familiar girl around the corner.

"Shaila, my darling, what have you been up to?" He asked with a relaxed smile, not extending to his eyes.

"Arslan, where did you vanish? I was quite worried, you know." She replied, closing the distance.

"I know, I know. Come here." He pulled her in his embrace and squeezed her butt.

"Kyaaa," she yelped.

Arslan smiled and gave her a deep kiss. His hands were roaming around her butt.

Moments later, they separated, and Shaila's breath hitched. She looked into his eyes like a hungry beast. Arslan smiled and guided her with his hand still resting on her ass to a more secluded place.

Meanwhile, Victor lay on his bed with closed eyes. 'I should explore the castle at night and find a secret place to meet Kate and Zara.'

As the sky darkened, Zack emerged from the cave, his crimson eyes glowed menacingly. He noticed the lights coming out from the tall spire of the castle. He smiled, his fanged teeth glimmering under the moonlight.

He sniffed the air and moaned, "Ahh, the smell of young flesh. I can't stop myself, I have to taste it."

He bolted toward the castle, hidden in the shadows, and he entered the academy grounds. He stood at the base of the tower and gazed up. A girl with blonde hair like his stood leaning on the window, staring at the moon. He crawled on the smooth wall without much of a problem. The girl standing at the window, Lyla, was oblivious to a hungry beast approaching her. She was lost in her thoughts.

Zack slowly crept above the window and glanced downward at Lyla. He felt something familiar about her, but he couldn't grasp the feeling. His mind was completely blank from the bloodlust. Without any further thought, he lunged at her.

Hearing the scraping sound at the last moment, Lyla's [Battle Sense] activated, and she ducked low.

Whoosh!

Thud!

Zack missed her completely and landed inside.

"Hiss!" He hissed at her like a monster.

Lyla's eyes widened, and she exclaimed, "Zack!"

Zack's mind cleared with her voice, his eyes widened as he recognized his sister. Without any delay, he jumped out of the window and ran into the forest.

"Zack, Zack, wait! Brother, wait!" Lyla kept calling, but he didn't turn back.

"Zack, what happened to you?" Lyla cried, staring into the forest.

She whispered, leaning against the window, face wet with tears, "Brother! You are alive."

She smiled, wiping her tears, and stared at the Moon. "Don't worry, brother, I won't lose you again."
