"Hahahahahaha, this is fun!" Kate cackled as she swung on the tentacle.
She swayed back and forth, like a pendulum. Her speed increased gradually and then— "Hup!"

She grabbed the tentacle, piercing it with a crimson dagger.
Black blood spurted from it.
Screechhhh!
It wailed and retracted the tentacle.
Thud!
"Hahaha, I like it when it squirms in pain." She shouted in glee.
Meanwhile, Feena was feeling dizzier than the two. Her HP decreased from 200 to 80. She was on the brink of losing consciousness. Her body felt lifeless as she dangled by the two tentacles. One grabbed her by the neck, squeezing harder, and the other by the leg. She gasped, struggling for air.

Kate's dagger cut the two tentacles and freeing the wolf.
Tentacles retracted back, leaving a trail of black blood.
Monster roared and threw Victor into the wall.

"Ahhh- "a groan ripped out from his chest, and he fell lifeless.

It retreated into the pond. The turbulent black water gradually calmed down. Feena stood up, and Kate ran toward Victor.
"Hey, are you alright? Don't leave me hanging here." Kate screamed near his ear.
He groaned, opened his heavy eyelids, and glared at her.

With a wince, he sat up. There wasn't a part of his body that didn't burn in pain. He leaned against the wall and wiped his nose with the back of his hand.
"Ahhh- fuck, I need to drink blood to recover instantly." He groaned.
Kate smiled at him and shrugged her shoulders. "Sure, but you would owe me one."
He squinted his eyes at her and bobbed his head.
She grinned and took out a high-grade potion from her inventory. She drank it in one gulp and recovered instantly. She leaned toward his face and exposed her neck near his mouth.
She whispered, "Go on, we don't have much time." His eyes turned gold, fangs emerged out and he pierced her neck.
"Ahhhh-Mhmm, ahh." Moans escaped from Kate's mouth.
Warm liquid slid down his throat and was absorbed in his stomach, his heart pumped faster, pupils dilated, and the New Moon core swirled, transmitting the Origin magic in his veins. Pain ebbed away and completely vanished in a few gulps. He separated from the moaning Kate. She lingered in his embrace for a few moments.
Kate's hazy eyes turned clear, with blush on her face, and she backed away. She smiled, caressed his lips with her thumb, and sucked it.
"Mhmmm, my blood from your lips tastes better." She whispered seductively.
"What the hell!" Feena screamed in her human form now.
"You lunatics, do you think we are on a picnic?" she shouted at them.
Kate lazily looked at her and waved her hand, gesturing dismissively. "Don't be jealous, my sweet little bitch."
Feena growled at her, "Shut up!"
"Both of you, please calm down, let's recover first. I know the monster will return after completely recovering." He stood up and calmly stated.
Feena grumbled and sat down at a little distance from Kate.
Kate, on the other hand, sat near Victor, who was reloading his twin storms. She whispered, "I'm completely recovered."
He gave her a nod and glanced at the statue in the middle of the pond. "We will draw it out."
He stood up, Kate followed him, and Feena sat with closed eyes, recovering. He stood near the pond and aimed at the statue.
"Give me the one colt," Kate asked, and he gave her one reluctantly. Kate smiled and whispered, leaning toward him, "My aim is better than yours." She winked.
Victor sighed and muttered, "Yes, I know I don't have practice with any firearms."

Kate fired two shots, one broke a leg, and the other passed through its abdomen, creating a fist-sized hole.

Victor's shots followed hers, one made a hole in its chest, and the other passed near its ear.

The monster suddenly came out of the water.

It screamed in agony, and it's all eight tentacles attacked the pair.

They easily ducked and dodged the whip like appendages.
Its maw opened wide, and it lunged toward them, coming out of the water. It was in full rage, and by hurting the statue, it made it lose its sanity.

One after another tentacle rained on them, its speed increasing with every second. Kate cackled and fired at it madly.

Two consecutive shots pierced its chest, and black blood spurted like a fountain. Victor wasn't able to do much damage like Kate, but bullets still found the flesh of the monster and drew its wails.
Jumping above and sliding below, they easily dodged its tentacles. Its attacks had become simple and erratic. Now, its speed was also decreasing.

Another two shots by Victor pierced its stomach, drawing the roar from its throat.
Meanwhile, as the two fought with the Cecaelia, Feena stood up, completely recovered. Her face elongated, muzzle with silver fur, and the jaw with serrated, sharp teeth formed. Grey, pale colored eyes resembling the full moon blazed. Her hands were covered in silver fur, with claws emerging from her fingers. Her feet turned into feline paws covered in silver, shimmering fur.

Growls escaped from her mouth with a foggy breath. Her feline eyes, like a predator, scanned the battleground. It appeared that Kate and Victor were easily overwhelming the humanoid beast. But they weren't able to injure it seriously.
She opened her arms wide apart, and a golden aura coated her claws. Her leg muscles coiled like springs. She bolted, creating a shock wave.
She jumped in the air.

Her claws glinted in the midair.
Her paw made a wide arc, like a sword, and a sharp slash travelled to the ignorant monster's head.

Its head was cut in half, in an oblique arch.
Thud!
Its upper part fell first, and then the lifeless body followed.
BOOM!
She landed on her feet on the opposite side. Victor and Kate's jaws dropped, and their eyes widened.
Suddenly, like an earthquake—
The ground shook.
Dust fell from the roof, and all of them lost their balance.
