Criminal X : Epitome Of Evil

Chapter 529: The Demon Who Wouldn’t Burn

The Crucible was trembling.

The Demon King was in the air.

Malvador had successfully crawled where Pablo and his soldiers were.

Pablo's eight slaves were on the opposite side of Pablo and they acted like air as their Master told them to.

All these people were waiting for the trembling to end.

And it ended as well.

But all of them knew that the ground wasn't just rumbling because it felt like it. It was shaking like that for a reason. And as things stood, everyone waited for the reason to come forth.

It came forth.

From the chest of the Crucible, a gaping hope appeared.

And from that hole, in the silence of fast heartbeats, came out something that Pablo believed would come out from the start of this War.

"Raaaaaaanggghhhhhghnnghh!!"

The Dragon King. El'Dorado.

The whole Seraphim shook with that roar and if the Demon King had made their throats dry, then this Dragon King made them rooted on the spot.

Covered in black scales as if the abyss itself had been stitched to make a cloak for the Being, half the sky had been hidden by the sheer volume of the beast.

Pablo and everyone else could only stare at the sky and they had yet to see the face of the monstrosity that had come out splitting the chest of the Crucible.

But more than that, there was one more question now.

How and why did the Dragon King appear now? What happened? What changed?

Pablo jerked his head at the naked Malvador standing far beside him.

Malvador sensed the gaze and he shook his head.

The Vampire king knew what Pablo wanted to ask and the answer was no.

So if it wasn't Malvador then who the fuck summoned the Dragon King?

Pablo wanted to know the answer like everyone else and there was only one person who could answer it.

The Dragon King himself.

But Pablo tried his luck with Andrezj.

He asked the male angel about it but as he expected, the angel had nothing to answer as well.

But more than that, everyone else was now focused on one more thing.

The people watching from the screens were glued to it as if they were watching a climax of a movie.

Jaun Elia went berserk with his pen as he believed he was writing the endgame now.

All these reactions were because of one simple thing.

The Dragon King was in front of the Demon King.

Both monsters were facing each other right in the air.

The Demon King was in no way weaker than the dragon. Both of them had huge black wings and both of them had the power to destroy Seraphim.

But as things stood, the Demon King certainly looked smaller than the Dragon, because, well… It was the dragon king after all.

El'Dorado and Dravakos stared into each other's eyes and both of them didn't move.

The next second, finally, the silence was broken by the dragon king.

"Was it you whom I sensed that fire from?"

At this, all heads jerked towards Pablo.

Pablo was also taken aback as in no way he believed he was the one behind this turn of events.

Dravakos, though, one of his eyeballs in his body looked at Pablo as he answered the Dragon King:

"What of it?"

El'Dorado's heavy, deathly voice resounded again:

"You are no divine being. You are a vile creature. You can not possibly do something like that."

"Mind your tongue, lizard. You came from the dead. The only vile creature here is you."

"Shut up! You are in the presence of the King!" El'Dorado roared.

"No. You are in the presence of the King. I am the King of the Demons. I am the ruler of Hell!"

"I am not in hell, Demon. And nor do I see any Demons for you to rule here. This is my place."

"The whole universe is my place. I wasn't able to come out of hell because of the restrictions placed on me by the Gods. But the sacrifices I got made me come here and now I can do whatever I want."

"The moment you mentioned the Gods, you already lost." El'Dorado said.

"I will kill those gods and take their place. You are ignorant. You will die first."

"I am not ignorant. The only being in the sky is me. No Gods. There are no Gods!"

"Keep arguing about it. Many years ago, I also heard their voices when they were here to kill you. I had heard how you screamed, I had heard how you died by fire, the same fire which you were so proud of!"

"ENOUGH!"

El'Dorado snapped and opened his mouth wide.

The Demon saw the daggers of fangs inside the Being's mouth and from the depth of the mouth, the Demon King felt brimming heat.

But he was the Demon King so he remained in one place, and El'Dorado waited for nothing and spewed fire right on Dravakos.

And people standing in the Crucible, they had never seen any fire like that.

They had never seen such black flames and they were so down below from the two beings and yet, they felt the hotness from up there to the place they stood.

All of them shivered just thinking about such fire being used on them and even Malvador believed he won't be able to heal himself from that.

The black flames remained on Dravakos for a good one minute and El'Dorado finally stopped.

Soon, the fire ended and the Demon King was again visible to everyone.

And when they saw him, all of them finally figured that the being was really the Demon King. Because that black, hot, scorching flame did nothing to Dravakos at all. The Being was totally fine.

But he had a frown on his face.

"Black flames? I thought you used red ones." He said.

The Dragon King growled. "It's because I am dead. I am not alive anymore. And after dying…"

El'Dorado darted his eyes at the sky.

"I became death."
