Chapter 498: The Day Cannibals Devoured Themselves
Pablo had used Harlia's Ego to the best of its extent and the results were enough to make everyone watching go silent.
And with the help of the same Ego, Pablo had done what was Harlia's assigned job and he shared it with everyone.
He told them that Corrosive, the King of the Cannibals…
"He is dead."
Silence reigned in the Crucible.
The soldiers of the Forza Kingdom remained silent until…
"Pardon? What did you say, Commander?" Diablo asked.
Pablo sighed. "Corrosive is dead. I killed him."
"Are you serious?!" Diablo asked.
Pablo clenched his jaw. "Do you think I will joke around in such times? Just because you know me from before doesn't give you the right to doubt my words!"
"Sor-sorry, Commander." Diablo went silent.
But the next second, his eyes lit up.
"Wait. So the Cannibal King is dead!?"
"Yes." Pablo answered, for the final time.
And after that, all the soldiers beamed.
"The Cannibal King is dead!"
"The Cannibal King is dead!"
"Commander Pablo killed him!"
"All hail Pablo!"
"All hail the Marshall!"
The soldiers began rejoicing all around the Crucible and this news acted as if it was some kind of power up. Just after hearing it, the soldiers found new vigor in their veins as they began slashing enemies like vegetables.
Their Egoes found new light as the Cannibals and Vampires alike, both succumbed to death.
This news reached the Cannibals and all of them jerked their heads where they believed their King was.
They saw no one there but Pablo and after they looked everywhere, they found no sign of their King. Not even his dead body. It was like he never existed.
And after finding this, all the Cannibals looked at each other.
"They lost their King. They will act enraged now. They will try to kill all of us." One soldier said, his voice trembling.
But Pablo shook his head. "You make too much of them, soldier."
"Huh? Am I wrong, Commander?" The soldier asked.
Pablo sighed. "You will see for yourself. You just keep doing your work."
The soldier didn't argue and carried on his killing.
"Of course he killed that savage fool. He was only good for eating." Malvador spoke.
"Well done, Pablo. You did my work. Now I shall do yours."
Harlia's praise also came for Pablo but Pablo's nose wrinkled for something else.
"You haven't started fighting with Malvador yet? What are you waiting for? Killing of all our troops? If you can't do it then just tell me. I shall show you how it's done."
Pablo had killed Corrosive using Harlia's Ego and he really found it overpowered. But he couldn't just be thankful for her about it if she hadn't even reached Malvador yet. The Vampire King was killing soldiers left and right. He should be stopped.
Pablo wasn't able to go to him as the Vampire king might run away again so he had sent someone near his level to Malvador to stop him but that someone hadn't even possibly reached the Vampire King!
"I had reached in front of him but twenty Vampires had pounced on me all at once! There is no one more eager than me to go in front of him and kill him. I had killed all those twenty Vampires but then twenty more came. They all were stopping me from fighting with him while he kept eating the hearts of my soldiers. I will kill him! I will kill him for sure!"
"Then say it! If that's the case then share your problem! Don't try to handle it alone."
"Fine! Yes. Do something about this, you bastard. Make these Vampires stop leeching at me so that I can catch that white lady boy."
"You got it. Give me a signal. I don't know where you are."
"Can't you hear my voice? I thought you had some good senses."
"And I thought you had some good speed."
"You bastard!"
"We both disappointed each other. So now give me a damn signal, woman!"
"Fine. Hear this!"
Admiral shouted and Pablo had no idea what to hear.
And he would have thought more about it if not for the Admiral telling him herself what she wanted Pablo to hear.
BOOOOMMMM!!
Everyone present in the Crucible heard the same blast of a sound they had heard a few moments ago.
Draxus jerked his head at Pablo right after that sound.
Pablo didn't meet Draxus' eyes and neither did he deny anything.
Draxus stared at Pablo for a few more seconds and then went back inside his shadow.
"You coming, Czar? I don't think we need another signal after that." Draxus' voice came from beneath Pablo.
Pablo looked at the shadow beneath his feet and shook his head.
"If I walk or run there, I would also get some heads along the way."
"As you say. What are my orders then?"
Pablo paused. Then after a second, he spoke:
"The order was always the same since the first War started in the world, Draxus. Kill anything that moves and looks a little different from us. Kill the Cannibals."
After a second, he added:
"It will be easier now."
"Easier, czar?" Draxus didn't get it.
"See for yourself." Pablo said and Draxus did just that.
And not only him, some soldiers also did it as they wanted to know why it would be easier to kill the Cannibals now.
"No. I am stronger than you. It should be me."
"No! He had chosen me! I have given him my sister to eat. I have the right!"
"No! I should!"
"I am the true one!"
The Cannibals were arguing over themselves for something and the soldiers would have asked Pablo about the matter if not for the Cannibals saying it themselves.
"No! I should be the King now!"
"Me!"
"I deserve it!"
"I am the strongest among all of you. I should be the King!"
"No! I am the strongest!"
"No! It should be I!"
"Me!"
"I am!"
The Cannibals argued over themselves about who should be their next King right in the middle of the war and then, the next moment, the thing that would make killing the Cannibals easier, happened.
The Cannibals began fighting among themselves.
