Chapter 452: The Ending Desired by the Angel Envoys (Part 2)
"But He didn't, just added a lock. Since it's a lock, there will be a day it gets unlocked."
"It's like a sword hanging over human civilization. I believe that one day, affection will be exhausted, and by that time, humanity will become extinct, replaced by entirely new advanced races."
Milan nodded: "Just don't know when that will be, maybe it just depends on His mood."
Gao Xin was startled: "No, it's not just about mood."
"If there really comes a day when the logical lock is unlocked and intelligent machinery awakens, it must be triggered by some kind of landmark event."
Milan understood what he meant and pondered: "The only event I can think of is the complete death of human civilization."
"If we're talking about landmark..."
She looked up, locking eyes with Gao Xin.
"The fall of Crime Prison Island."
Gao Xin's gaze burned: "According to your theory, if Crime Prison Island is a spark ignited by Him, then He certainly wants to see the results."
"If intelligent machinery awakens and eliminates humanity beforehand, it would be contradictory."
"Thus, the outcome of Crime Prison Island is the key to whether Emperor Ran judges humanity, whether the spark extinguishes or spreads like wildfire..."
"He needs a result to push Himself to make the final decision."
Milan nodded, fully agreeing with this idea.
Emperor Ran judges with one hand and redeems with the other, it all depends on where humanity ultimately heads.
"Heh... What an apocalypse revelation." Gao Xin bit his lip.
Milan also mused: "So how can we satisfy Emperor Ran?"
Gao Xin squinted: "Why should we satisfy Him?"
"We don't even know what He's thinking, and so what if we do? Do we have to align ourselves with the standards He sets in His heart?"
"Who knows what kind of humanity He wants? And whether it aligns with humanity's own interests?"
"A new human civilization, if it doesn't serve its own interests, why even establish it?"
Milan was taken aback, then frowned at Gao Xin: "Survival, are you hoping for intelligent machinery to awaken and humanity to become extinct?"
"Moreover, I believe that Emperor Ran hopes humanity can stand on its own, become a mature, rational civilization that knows how to coexist with Him."
Gao Xin curled his lips: "You're getting a bit ahead of yourself, Milan, such conclusions are premature."
Milan said: "If He didn't think this way, why would He even give humanity a chance?"
"He has absolute power to erase humanity."
Gao Xin shook his head: "That's another matter, I admit He has been just and benevolent to humanity, but that doesn't mean the humanity He wants is the humanity we want to be."
"Of course we want to survive, but survival is the bare minimum."
"Don't set such low goals for yourself right from the start, Milan..."
Milan frowned: "But if we don't consider what Ran wants, humanity might end up, after desperately building a new civilization, facing doomsday judgment."
Gao Xin's eyes were sharp: "Wouldn't that mean He's an enemy? Humanity must fight for its own interests."
"What else is there to say?"
"This..." Milan was at a loss for words.
"Tai Sui, aren't you being a bit too human supremacy?"
Gao Xin showed no weakness: "I think you're a bit too pro-external, Milan."
As they spoke, they ended up arguing.
Milan frowned: "You really disappoint me, Tai Sui. At the height of civilization, arrogance and ignorance are extremely deadly."
"Do you know how strong Emperor Ran is? In such matters, we must take the highest fault tolerance route."
Gao Xin calmly said: "I know Little Ran is very strong, but I still say, a new human civilization, if it's not a civilization that serves its own interests, why build it so desperately?"
"If you just want to survive, then maintaining the status quo is the same, isn't it? As long as Crime Prison Island isn't destroyed, half-dead as it is now, I believe intelligent machinery awakening won't happen. A thousand years, ten thousand years, even a hundred thousand years, I believe Little Ran can wait."
Milan was silent.
Gao Xin continued: "I don't understand Emperor Ran, but I understand the Angel Envoy."
"The Angel Envoy's biggest task is to fully see through humanity's fate, and this task was given by Little Ran. Why do you think that is?"
"I don't believe the Angel Envoy is just pursuing answers, because they claim not to interfere with Crime Prison Island, but in reality, they have been indirectly influencing it through the so-called Fate Model."
"Even stirring up conflict and war, hoping that Crime Prison Island falls into chaos."
"This attitude of fearing peace, I think, simply for research and testing, doesn't make sense."
"Now combining it with your statement that Crime Prison Island is a spark, I seem to understand a bit."
"That is, the Angel Envoy group likely hopes for the eventual extinguishment of Crime Prison Island's spark. They hope humanity self-destructs, or heads toward a scenario they've been wishing to see."
"Don't say that the result the Angel Envoy desires is conveniently humanity's best outcome."
"Even if it is, so what? Humanity's future should be crafted by humanity itself, just as you said, humans must rely on themselves."
Finally, Gao Xin threw Milan's words back at her, rendering her speechless.
Gao Xin previously thought that the Angel Envoy seemed too eager to fan the flames and spread chaos.
He thought it was because they were too transcendent, just playing around.
Now he realizes there is a purpose, maybe the Angel Envoy hopes Crime Prison Island gets drenched in blood, so Emperor Ran will quickly initiate intelligent machinery awakening, completely surpassing humanity.
And quickly establish a civilization that is truly meaningful, solely belonging to the intelligent machinery life forms.
"I don't care what Little Ran thinks."
"But I'm afraid the Angel Envoy hopes for the demise of human civilization, at most leaving some zoological material."
