Chapter 22: Act XXII: Walk Among Dimensions

-Moments Later-

-Between Space-

[Omniverse]

"I'm curious about what really happened," Dimension said, still intrigued and mildly fascinated by the situation he had encountered while traversing the vast Omniverse.

"But honestly, I didn't expect him to answer my question like that," he continued, recalling their earlier conversation, which had left him slightly surprised and skeptical.

Suddenly, he stopped and began walking through the expanse. In front of him appeared a set of gates, forged from the very fabric of space.

He paused before them and placed his hand on their surface. Slowly, the gates began to open. Beyond them, towering pillars of space stretched out, aligning along a path that lay before him.

Walking slowly along the path, Dimension eventually reached its end, where he saw a mat waiting for him. He sat on it and began to ponder.

"Hmmm… Could he have lied?" he mused aloud, resting his cheek on his hand, supported by his elbow on his knee, sitting deep in thought on the mat.

"No, he definitely wasn't lying. He probably doesn't even know how to lie," he concluded, still deliberating.

"Hmmm, doesn't matter," he said, a faint smile forming on his face.

The smile hinted at his attention shifting to something else entirely.

"I didn't show it during our conversation, but what's happening there is incredibly fascinating and intriguing. I almost want to go back and examine it more closely," he said, still smiling, his mind replaying his conversation with Beginning and the things he had seen.

"Hmmm, but I don't need to go back to observe it up close," he added, his smile widening, his curiosity growing. A moment later, he lifted his head from his hand.

Still seated on the mat, he began using his authority. Before him, a circular window of space opened—large enough to fill half his body. Through it, he saw the Outer Realm and a dimension forming around it.

After opening the portal, he began analyzing it deeply, yet he remained seated in place.

"This isn't enough. I need to see more," he said, then once again used his authority, opening additional windows of space around him.

These new portals revealed glimpses of the Inner Realms and universes, all surrounded by the formation of new dimensions around them.

"This should be enough," he said, now fully engrossed in analyzing the reasons behind and the nature of these dimensions.

"Hmm, very interesting. It's not just dimensions forming—there's something else in between," he said, drawing one of the open portals closer to himself, even more intrigued by his discovery.

"Fascinating, truly fascinating," he murmured, his eyes now glinting with the spark of heightened curiosity.

"It's like a barrier… no, it is a barrier," he remarked, diving deeper into his analysis.

"But it's not fully formed yet; it's still developing," he noted, slightly disappointed, yet his fascination remained.

"This barrier is like… like the space that separates two dimensions," he said as he gazed into the barrier, uncovering more mysteries. A wider grin of intrigue and curiosity spread across his face.

"This barrier is the space between two dimensions," he said, though his deduction did not stop there. "And within this barrier, there is also a dimension," he added. His grin widened even further, and this time, his reaction wasn't limited to his expression—his hand reached forward.

His hand extended through the spatial portal, crossing into the barrier between dimensions.

'Crack!'

The moment his hand touched the barrier, fractures began to spread across its surface. Dimension reacted swiftly, pulling his hand back through the portal.

"Interesting… The barrier is weak, or perhaps it cannot withstand my power," he speculated, pondering the possibilities.

"Or maybe it's because it's still forming?" he wondered, still engrossed in the analysis, seated amidst the spatial portals surrounding him.

-At the Same Time-

-Nearby-

[Outer Realm]

"I wonder when the stabilization and formation of these new dimensions will be complete," Beginning said, gazing at the Outer Realm, deep in thought.

"Doesn't matter. It's certainly not happening anytime soon," he remarked, turning away from the Outer Realm. After a moment, he began to fly in the opposite direction, keeping close to the realm.

As he flew, he slowed down, coming to a halt before a flat expanse of space—a living space, filled with forests, rivers, and mountains. Amidst these features stood a set of gates.

He stopped before the gates, hovering momentarily, then descended gently, landing on solid ground, the gates remained firmly before his gaze.

He extended his hand toward them, and after a moment, the gates began to open, revealing another inner space—a realm where he spent most of his time.

This inner space was devoid of anything but earth, grass and a serene lake, within which rested a small island.

On the island lay a mat.

After opening the gates, Beginning stepped forward, walking across the grass until he reached the lake. Setting foot on the water's surface, he began walking across it, step by step, heading toward the island.

Each step brought him closer until, finally, he reached the island's shore.

He stepped onto the land, walking a few more paces before reaching the mat. Slowly, he sat on it, diving into even deeper contemplation.

This time, his thoughts were not just focused on the earlier situation but also on many others.

-In Another Dimension-

[Void]

"I've been wandering this dimension for over a hundred years, and I haven't found many interesting things," Void said, his face showing nothing but disappointment.

"I thought that since this is my dimension, it would at least be more intriguing, but there's barely anything of interest here," he added, his expression still filled with dissatisfaction. However, a sudden memory crossed his mind, and his face shifted slightly, now showing not only disappointment but also a spark of curiosity.

"The most interesting thing I've discovered in this dimension is probably those pillars and the chain that seem to have no beginning," he remarked, the curiosity in his voice growing as he recalled the sight.

"But I think it's time to return to the place where I feel most at ease. Maybe I'll uncover something fascinating there again," he said and began flying toward a spot that felt like home to him in this nearly empty dimension.

He flew for a while, the journey taking some time, but when he saw something on the horizon, he abruptly slowed his flight. Instead, he started walking across the fabric of the dimension, heading toward a near-complete void where a solitary mat lay.

The mat was the only tangible object in this vast void.

He walked for a while, each step bringing him closer to the mat until finally, he stood before it. He sat down, his mind turning over thoughts of what to do next.

"Hmm, so what now?" he mused aloud, lost in thought.
