Crazy Blood Demon

Chapter 11: Inhuman Goal

Bob sat down next to Nina, but she quickly moved away from him, feeling uneasy around someone she considered a psychopath.

"Finally, I don't have to be in the middle," Nina said, her voice filled with relief.

Bob turned to her, his tone suddenly serious. "Nina, what ability do you have?"

Nina frowned, surprised by the question, but after a brief hesitation, she decided to answer. She didn't think it would put her in danger.

"I guess I can heal, but the description sounded strange." She paused before continuing. "To sum it up, my fingernails grow longer, and I can stab someone with them. When I do, my mana transforms into healing energy that violently penetrates their body. The process is excruciatingly painful—almost like torture. When it's over, my hand pulls back, leaving a wound in the spot where I stabbed. However, the person remains paralyzed for about three hours due to the foreign mana." She looked down, her voice quiet. "It's an uncommon ability, but probably useless."

Bob thought for a moment, then suddenly shouted, "Demon, come here! I know you're watching!"

He heard a snort, and Addak appeared, glancing briefly at Bob's crown. The others instinctively stepped back.

"I smell a strange aura coming from it. What do you want?" Addak asked, his voice tinged with annoyance.

"Did everyone get a random skill box?" Bob asked.

"No," Addak replied immediately. "Only your group got them. The ones the observers like the most get a random skill box." He paused. "Why do you ask?"

"Is it okay to kill here?" Bob asked, his tone calm but carrying an undercurrent of triumph.

[Mysterious Wanderer probably knows where you're going with this and isn't happy about it.]

Addak's expression shifted to one of concern, but he spoke in a dark, victorious tone. "Yes, you've already killed those people outside the entrance. This is a safe zone—radiation and monsters can't get in here."

Bob's eyes narrowed. "So, that changes everything," he muttered.

[Blood Shadow looks at you with a maniacal expression]

Nina, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, kept her gaze fixed on the ground, avoiding Bob's eyes.

Addak grinned, his sharp yellow teeth glinting in the light. "Since you killed the Boss in just five hours, the next part of the main scenario will begin," he said, vanishing before reappearing in the air above the left side of the room. "Bob killed the Boss. The continuation of the main scenario will begin in five hours!"

Bob's anger flared. "I'm Bob Keauzmur!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the room.

The other survivors turned to look at him, sensing the tension in the air.

Addak, visibly irritated, repeated the announcement. "Bob Keauzmur killed the Boss. The sequel to the main scenario will be in five hours."

Bob sat back down, his expression cold and satisfied.

[-1000 coins have been deducted for insolence]

[Coins: 5080]

Bob's fists clenched. Seeing the deduction in his coins, he punched the ground in frustration, causing cracks to form in the stone.

Addak, witnessing Bob's reaction, smiled before disappearing.

The survivors watched in awe and fear, stunned by Bob's strength. Even the usually unfazed person nearby raised an eyebrow at the display.

"Bro, calm down. What happened?" Nina asked, her voice laced with concern.

"I'd rather not comment, or he'll take even more coins from me," Bob muttered, visibly irritated.

"How much did he take?" Nina asked, raising an eyebrow.

"1000 coins," Bob replied, annoyed.

"I only have 495," Nina said, pulling out an empty pack of cigarettes. "Damn."

Suddenly, Nick stood up, his voice dark and resolute. "It's time."

[Ruby Ruler is ready for some serious carnage]

[Blood Shadow shakes in manic anticipation]

[A Mysterious Wanderer sadly reminds you that you don't have to do this and that you're on the wrong path]

Bob contemplated his next move. He had three doubts:

1. He didn't know if the others had received a random skill box. If they had, it could be a huge advantage, and he might not win.

2. He wasn't sure if killing in the safe zone would bring consequences, though he had already killed before entering and faced no punishment. He wanted to test it.

3. Bob had always killed for what he believed were the right reasons—those who deserved it, like rich criminals or threats to his survival. But now, he was about to kill innocent people, and that felt different. He didn't have to, but he was considering it for his survival and to test his ability to gather blood to acquire the core.

As Bob gazed at the crowd of about 200 people, the weight of his decision settled on him.

[Inventory slots enabled: 0/5]

He pulled a sword from his inventory, ready for what was to come.

Nina, sensing the inevitable, turned her gaze downward, unable to watch.

'There's no turning back now,' Bob thought to himself.
