The Xavier School for the Gifted suspended classes for a day, with no activities scheduled until the weekend.

A student with enhanced hearing claimed they overheard a heated argument in the conference room. 

However, the soundproofing was too good, and they didn't dare get close enough to hear the details.

Everyone speculated something serious had happened, given how intensely the professors and teachers were discussing things.

Meanwhile, Norin, the cause of all this, was living his best life.

He'd asked Ophelia to bring him a beach chair, and now he lounged on it, napping and basking in the sun, enjoying the steady increase in his strength.

Kate and Clarice joined him, sitting or lying nearby.

Clarice surprised Norin. She was a bookworm, always reading whenever she had a chance.

Seeing Clarice was still young, Kate didn't see her as a threat. The two even grew closer, chatting about random things.

At night, Kate would sneak into Norin's room. After tasting the sweetness last time, she'd become addicted to the feeling.

Each session left her exhausted, often lying in bed until noon or even later before she could muster the energy to get up.

But she loved it.

Despite the physical toll, Kate's spirits were higher than ever. She looked radiant, which made Clarice curious. 

Every time Clarice asked about her secret, Kate felt awkward. She couldn't exactly say, "It's Norin."

Kate also noticed her powers were improving without practice, even undergoing strange changes.

It was like what Charles had mentioned once—secondary mutation.

But secondary mutations were rare and usually required specific conditions. She hadn't done anything unusual lately, except...

Katie's expression turned odd. Could that trigger a secondary mutation and enhance mutant abilities?

However, she'd heard from other female mutants that this wasn't the case for them.

Was she special, or was Norin?

With this thought, Katie, despite her weak body, hurried to find Norin, who was still sunbathing.

When she arrived, she found a crowd of girls already gathered around him.

Every girl at the school over the age of ten, whether they had a boyfriend or not, had come.

They claimed they were sunbathing or reading, but it was obvious they were there to feast their eyes.

Norin, after all, was only wearing a pair of shorts to maximize his sun exposure.

Even the beach chair was made of a special glass material, reportedly a new Hydra invention not yet available on the market.

This setup perfectly showcased Norin's golden-ratio figure.

His eight-pack abs, toned muscles, flowing hair, and melancholic eyes drove the girls wild.

Every movement he made sparked whispers, and the sound of cameras clicking never stopped.

Thankfully, the school only had a small number of mutant students, and not many girls of the right age. Otherwise, Kate couldn't imagine the chaos this would cause outside.

"Norin! I think I'm starting a second mutation! I can feel all the cells in my body becoming more active."

Amid the jealous stares of the other girls, Kate walked straight to Norin and whispered to him.

She glanced at Clarice, who seemed absorbed in her book, and quickly added, "After I finish this second mutation, remember to come twice more. You might gain new abilities too."

Norin nodded lazily, showing little reaction.

Kate's excitement grew. Her guess seemed correct.

"Did you do this? Being with you can enhance mutant abilities?"

Norin admitted it outright but reminded her, "This stays between us. Don't tell anyone."

Though he secretly added in his mind: .Kara knows, Batman knows, Ophelia knows…'

Kate nodded eagerly. "I'm great at keeping secrets. You know I won't tell anyone."

Finally, she whispered, "Does Clarice know?"

Norin gave her a look that said it all without words.

Kate beamed, holding her head high and chest out, as if she'd just won a battle.

The other girls couldn't help but feel jealous seeing Kate's smug expression. Why weren't they the ones sitting next to Norin?

With Norin's strong body, in that position, being held by him—it must feel better than flying.

Sensing the envious stares of the other girls, Kate felt even prouder. She leaned in and whispered, "Let's try something new tonight. I haven't tested it yet... I wonder if it'll speed up the mutation."

Norin's interest piqued. With a scientific and rigorous attitude, he thought it was worth experimenting.

But...

"Are you sure you're up for it?" Norin glanced at Kate, who was barely walking. He didn't want to push her too far.

Kate's face fell. This wasn't what she'd read online. Weren't women supposed to have more stamina in this area? Why was it the opposite for her?

It was another embarrassing moment. She didn't dare discuss this with the other girls—they'd laugh her to death.

In her mind, she could only blame it on Norin being different. Too strong, too much.

Kate rubbed her thighs, cursing herself for being so weak. But she couldn't take back her words now. Even if she couldn't handle it, she had to tough it out.

She was about to say something when Norin suddenly perked up. "You know what? Rest tonight. I just remembered I have something to do. You should take it easy."

"Yeah, go handle your business."

In front of Norin, Kate was more obedient than a puppy, nodding eagerly.

No one even asked what Norin had to do.

Norin stood up, put on his clothes, and walked out of the school under the longing gazes of the other girls.

Where no one could see,

A few inconspicuous insects sat quietly on a tree not far away.

If you looked closely with precise infrared heat sensors, you'd notice a "forest" of activity above.

Arriving outside the school gate,

A Chevrolet was parked on the road nearby.

The car door opened, and the first thing to emerge was a long, shapely leg.
