Chapter 47: Violet's anger
Currently, Violet's face was filled with unease as she clenched her shivering hands, expecting a proper answer from him.
Caught off guard by the situation, Hector remained silent for a while before noticing the curious eyes from the crowd fixed on him with a gaze.
So, Hector swallowed in worry and said calmly, trying to reassure Violet's emotions.
"I don't use it…so don't worry." His voice was released softly.
He hoped she would calm down because, at that moment, everyone was looking at him as if he were a bad guy, as a person bullying a child.
It made him feel ashamed.
He hadn't expected Violet to react that way. It seemed she wasn't flustered despite all the eyes on her, but he wasn't the same.
Perhaps he shouldn't have done anything that might upset her in front of the crowd.
Then, He held his breath and looked at Violet, hoping she had settled her mind, but it wasn't effective.
She had remained in such a state at this moment, yet he could now sense the anger in her expression—so intense that her ears flushed as red as a tomato.
"Your ears… they're too red." Hector narrowed his eyes and accidentally let the words slip as he observed her.
Suddenly, his speech startled Violet in a few seconds.
At this time, both her face and ears were red. It was obvious that Hector had reached the nerve of her embarrassment.
It was unbelievable for him to see because that was the first time.
"Fuck! Again, I said something stupid!" Hector thought, then quickly blurted out whatever came to his mind awkwardly.
''Ah… Oh..It's just a common response as your emotions rise too high…don't worry, you're not sick at all.''
However, it didn't have the effectiveness, even worse than when she was on the verge of crying.
He could observe that the small smoke was vaporizing from her head. Of course, everyone wouldn't see if they didn't possess his eyes.
Because of that, Hector just slowly gulped while looking at Violet and hoping that the worst thing wouldn't happen.
And, finally, that stuff also came.
"YOU ARE STUPID!" Violet shouted…then she quickly ran out of this place, even though Hector had already said those reassuring words beforehand.
A silence blanketed the space.
….
"That suck," Hector blinked his heavy eyelids while slightly furrowing his wrinkles, tired
He barely assumed that everything could go wrong like this.
Violet was literally just a kid with an innocent mind…He should have been more careful with his words.
Beside Hector, Wade looked at him and raised her lips in amusement.
"You're really such a bad guy." Wade added.'' But…That is exciting…I again have a thing to tease her.''
She raised her eyes in a direction far from where Violet had just exited, and her voice was released with an even tone.
"In fact, Violet has an extremely innocent and childlike mind… so her actions are easy to understand. Maybe she won't meet you for a few days after that… If you want her protection, you'll have to apologize to her or choose the time when she will relieve her stubbornness."
''Anyway, Good luck! Don't miss the opportunity I have given you.''
Some seconds later, Wade began to leave this place where there was nothing enjoyable left at this point.
Over time, A few small, unknown voices emerged.
"Tsk! He's nothing but a lowly dog! He should be grateful for everything Lady Violet has done for him… but he dares to say those filthy words to her?!"
A young man gritted his teeth angrily, glaring at Hector with murderous eyes.
"Sigh! Don't lose your mind over that foolish guy… He'll face his own retribution soon enough."
Another man let out a sigh, his voice devoid of emotion.
…
The murmurs of curses filled the air, whispering softly throughout the place. None of one noticed that fighting match before anymore.
Hector glanced around and exhaled deeply, his breath heavy with a tiredness of mind. Lowering his gaze to the ground, he left the place in silence. Yet, it was hard to hide the upset and boredom on his face
….
A lot of days had passed.
Inside the small, cramped room, there was just enough equipment for a student to use as much as possible.
At this moment, a young man was sitting on a chair, reading a book intently. He continued flipping through the pages, scanning each one carefully without missing any vital details.
Snap!
Snap!
Snap!
Eventually, he closed the book gently, lifted his head, and leaned back against the chair in a smooth and relaxed motion.
Tap!
Sigh!
"So… I really have to apologize to her, right?"
Hector took a deep breath before slowly exhaling.
He glanced at the book on his desk, his gaze distant, while his mind was overwhelmed with countless thoughts.
"Sigh!" Another deep breath escaped him.
"I think I won't do that... After all, this is what I want. If something goes wrong, my lucky coin will fix it!"
But the half-second ran out…He had another thought
"No!" Hector shook his head slightly.
"I suppose... It's the lucky coin's volition."
"If only that coin could actually say something for me," Hector muttered, blinking rapidly before lowering his head to look at the worn-out coin hanging from his neck.
Even though he said that, there was a hint of guilt in his eyes as he thought about Violet. It made him feel extremely discomfort.
Hector had treated Violet terribly, and even if the lucky coin had somehow significantly influenced her actions, Hector was still responsible for what he had done to her.
"Tsk!" Hector frowned slightly for a moment.
Then, he stood up and picked up the book from the desk.
"I should return this book to Derek... It no longer serves any purpose for me. Besides, I should also meet Michael. It's been a long time since I last saw him."
...
Once again, the sound of footsteps echoed softly in the small room, along with the final streak of light fading away.
