Tyrone frowned as he looked at the screen showing his rank. He scolded:
"Fuck! Why haven't we reached the top 10 yet?"
Tyrone's anger made sense after all the effort they had put in. Still, other teams wouldn't just sit around waiting for them.
"Don't waste your energy. Just take a nap and refresh yourself. We'll wait for another team. And this time, we'll reach our original goal," Hector said before lying back down for another nap.
Bam was still asleep after many hours, clearly annoyed by Tyrone. Meanwhile, Tyrone kept babbling on until he suddenly stopped his fidgeting for some reason.
He climbed up to the top of the rock, looked around, then smiled and licked his lips with excitement.
"Wake up, boys. The next prey is coming," he said.
Hector and Bam snapped out of their short naps and sat up wide awake. Hector scanned the whole safe zone and beyond, carefully looking for any sign of a new team approaching.
"I see… but your mana looks familiar," Hector muttered, grimacing as he tried to recall where he had felt that presence before.
In the sky, a shadow falcon quickly shrank and landed on Bam's shoulder before fading into the darkness.
Bam just gave Hector a glance full of unspoken thoughts. He leaned back against the rock and muttered before drifting off again:
"Your little girlfriend."
Hector's face darkened at Bam's words. He hadn't expected to meet her here, in this situation. Yet there was also a small relief—at least she was still safe.
He let out a deep breath, emotions weighing heavy on him. Should he meet her or not? Every time he sensed her presence, guilt and pain gnawed at his heart.
Hector shook his head and turned to Tyrone, who was still confused by his and Bam's reactions.
"Let it be."
Eventually, Hector lay back down again. He didn't want to see her. Better to ignore her.
Tyrone tilted his head back and sighed: "Why do I have to stay here with such boring guys?"
Then, he quickly slid down the slope of the rock, landed safely, and set his eyes forward before running off.
"I must do something."

"Are you okay?" Adele asked, her voice filled with worry.
She was a beautiful girl with long white hair, tall and slender for her age. Maybe her bloodline made her that way.
Violet, whose hair had almost turned silver, just nodded without saying a word. From her face, no one could tell what she was thinking, but one thing was clear—she looked so sad. Hiding her emotions had never been her strength.
Eric, Violet's maid, felt a deep sadness for her lady. She could already guess the source of it all, but she did nothing. Violet had once said, "I don't want to see your face anymore," ever since Eric advised her that her boyfriend wasn't worth her kindness.
"I just wanted the best for you…" Eric whispered, glancing at Violet before turning her eyes away.
Adele—the daughter of Emperor Tara Peay and Wade's friend—took a look at her comrades, then let out a long breath.
They all looked sad and exhausted. Somehow, that heavy mood dragged her down as well. Still, she had to look after Violet. After all, Wade had asked her to. When a friend needed help, of course she would step up. But if it came to protection, that role was hers to take.
"Sigh… I'm not good at comforting people," she muttered.
After a while, the three girls finally stepped into the safe zone, worn out after endless hours of fighting.
And then, to their surprise, someone was already waiting for them.
"Hello. It's truly an honor for someone like me to meet you, my ladies," Tyrone said with a polite smile, bowing his head.
The first to respond was Violet. Her expression softened, growing brighter and brighter.
"It's you, so… he's here. He's safe too."
Her voice carried a hint of longing, though no less than worry.
Tyrone raised his eyelids for a moment before turning back into the polite, gentle man.
"Of course."
Everyone turned to look at Violet's expression—the happiest they had ever seen on her face. Naturally, they were stunned. It wasn't only her beauty, radiant and almost dazzling, that surprised them, but the fact that her emotions shone so brightly for that lucky guy. Especially Adele, who froze for a moment before quickly shaking her head and snapping out of it.
"Where is he?" she asked first, eager to meet the luckiest man in the world.
But he wasn't here waiting for them. That meant he must have been doing something—maybe hunting for food, or something else.
She imagined Hector would be a perfect man, like Kevin: handsome, strong, and reliable. But in contrast to her expectation, what she found was just a frail guy.
He was blind, fragile, slender—like someone standing at the edge of death. Worse, he was sleeping peacefully, ignoring their presence and Violet's feelings for him.
That couldn't be forgiven. Adele didn't care about his background or how weak he was—what she couldn't accept was one simple fact.
Hector didn't respect Violet. Even when she tried to get closer, he had scolded her.
"Oh my god…" she muttered, pressing her temples in disappointment.
Standing near her, Tyrone smiled with pride. To him, it was satisfying that someone like Hector could act this way—it proved, in his eyes, that status alone could crush everything else.
Meanwhile, Eric only looked at her lady with helpless sadness. As she glanced at Hector, a wave of fury and disdain surged inside her—but the moment she met his eyes, that hostility and anger were snuffed out, replaced instead with fear and pain.
It was like an instinctive reaction, as if she had locked eyes with a terrifying predator. Fear shook her to her core.
Her stomach twisted, and nausea rose up sharply. Her sudden movement drew Adele and Tyrone's attention.
"What's wrong? Did you eat something bad… or dirt?" Adele asked worriedly as she rushed over.
Tyrone, on the other hand, just shrugged his shoulders. It seemed he had already realized something from her reaction.
