Cobra Kai: New life

[Tournament Day, POV: David]

I arrived early, several hours before the tournament was scheduled to start, with Tory by my side. I quickly went looking for one of the presenters. If this was going to be my first tournament, I was going to go big.

The plan was simple: blackmail the person in charge of the music and lights to make sure I had an epic entrance. Now the question was: where the hell was the guy? Short answer: I didn't know. Long answer: I'd punch someone to find out. Or at least that was the plan, but it turned out to be much easier than I thought. I just asked someone, and voilà! Quick and without punching anyone, which honestly annoyed me a little.

After setting everything up for my entrance, I went to get ready, especially my uniform. I mean, I was fighting for Miyagi-Do, but I had asked Sensei LaRusso to let me wear a different keikogi. Plain white just wasn't my thing.

Mine was sleeveless and red, with a black obi and the Miyagi-Do logo on the back, paired with brown gloves. Basically, it was a Ken Masters cosplay—but without the blonde hair. My face was painted red and white with black details. Like I said, if I was going to do this, I was going to put on the most spectacular combat show ever.

Next to me, Tory looked at my face and uniform and burst into laughter.

"You know, your Ken cosplay and Jeff Hardy-inspired face paint really say a lot about what you want to do today."

"I want everyone to remember this tournament. Next year, I want my entrance to be the highlight. And if we ever compete in a major tournament, I want to be the brightest star out there."

"You'll have to win first. You still remember our bet, right?" Tory teased.

"My love, how could I forget that bet? I'm going to win. And I'll tell you right now: I'm going to win without being touched. In fact, I'll win this tournament by knockout."

"Alright, I'm off. Cobra Kai is up for their entrance. I'll see you inside, my dragon sweeper," Tory said, kissing my cheek.

"Just wait for my entrance, tigress. It's going to be unforgettable."

[Third-Person POV]

"Sensei, everyone's here except David, and he's never late! What are we going to do if he doesn't show up?" Dimitri asked nervously, his palms sweaty as he paced in circles.

"Relax, Dimitri. He'll be here. He said he was preparing a surprise or something," Sensei LaRusso replied, arms crossed.

[Cue the song: To Be Loved by Papa Roach]

All the dojos had arrived and were in place, waiting for the tournament to begin, when suddenly, music blasted through the speakers. The lights went out, and a few spotlights pointed at the entrance.

There stood David in his unique outfit, face paint and all. The crowd was stunned. Smoke poured out on either side of him, followed by the explosion of fireworks (which he had set up himself when no one was looking).

The audience rose to their feet, cheering for his entrance.

"Okay, that's awesome," Dimitri said as Eli, standing next to him, nodded like a chicken pecking at corn. The other Miyagi-Do students were wide-eyed with amazement.

"And HERE WE HAVE a participant from Miyagi-Do who requested a special entrance. This is his first tournament, and he promises no one will even touch him. So, we've decided to tweak the rules a bit: in this tournament, apart from winning by points, participants can also win by knockout!" the presenter announced.

Now standing with his teammates, David turned to Sensei LaRusso, who gave him an amused look and said, "How did you manage to get them to let you have such an over-the-top entrance?"

"I just asked. They said no one had ever asked before, so they agreed," David replied.

"Man, your face paint is awesome! I mean, you could've picked different colors, but still, it's amazing," Eli said.

On the other side, the Cobra Kai students were visibly jealous of David's entrance, while their sensei, Terry Silver, stared at David as if he already knew all his deepest secrets.

Sorry for the lack of chapter, I promised myself I would write more, I just finished watching the series for the second time and it cleared my mind in some aspects, and about the entrance and that, I recently watched several old WWE fights and I was inspired
