Chapter 27: In the Emerald Clove.
(Celia’s POV)
So far, this game wasn’t too bad. I hadn’t run into any annoying higher beings, and no one was watching me. Both Faith and Sava assured me that no one would watch me right now. In fact, the early stages of the game are considered too boring, so it isn’t even being broadcast at all.
Which makes it even funnier, as now countless beings will be forced to watch absolutely nothing for a decent while. Plus, this helps me out a lot. If I was being watched, I probably couldn’t do things like, tell people that the fate of all existence is at threat of being erased, for example. Multiple existences, at that…
Marin: “It might be a little more dangerous… but the ingredients that I need are further into the forest. Are you okay with that?” She informed.
Celia: “That’s fine. Lead away, and I’ll protect you.” I reply with a confident tone.
Saren and Remi both tried to convince me to wear armor, but that just wasn’t going to happen. Right now, I was wearing a very pretty white dress. With a high-quality sword at my side, and the current environment, it made an interesting contrast.
A Bit of Walking Later.
Eventually, we made it far into the forest, about twenty minutes away from where this named forest starts. Marin was on her knees, looking for those ingredients. When she would find what she was looking for, Marin would just harvest it, and then put it into her bag.
Celia: “What type of potion will you be making?” I ask with a curious tone.
Marin: “A potion that makes you horny. They always sell out, which gives me more than enough coin to do the experiments that I actually want to study and do.” She answered, still focused on her task.
Celia: “Kinky.” I add.
Marin: “…”
With a slight red tinge to her ears, the girl kept her focus on the task at hand. Clearly, the woman, as most people are like, wasn’t one that liked being poor or broke completely.
She was picking some green plants, as well as some mushrooms. I could, in fact, just inspect them and find them with her. But I felt like this was something that Marin liked to do, so I wasn’t about to ruin her fun. Besides, I have work to do right now…
Rustle!
Marin: “…”
Celia: “…”
They were green, so they really blended in well with the rest of the emerald forest. Goblins came out from the bushes, and jumped down from trees. Typically, they aren’t that big of a problem for most people. But these Goblins… they’re a major danger in such a large group.
Marin: “Too… there are far too many of them!” She exclaimed, trying to run away.
Celia: “Calm down, Miss Marin.” I say with a stern tone after catching the running girl.
Marin: “B-but…” I cut off her words.
Celia: “No buts, little lady. If you run off, then I will not be able to protect you.” I say with a smile.
Marin: “…”
Faith: “Are you trying to seduce her, or make her your daughter, Celia? Choose one already!” She exclaimed in my head.
Celia: “…”
The Goblins got closer, their evil and ugly faces getting bigger in our vision, making Marin hide her head in my breasts. In total, there were around thirty or more Goblins facing us. In truth, it would seem that the silly alchemist had accidentally led us to a Goblin nest, or at least very close to one.
Hiss!
Oh, so they weren’t smart Goblins, and just actual monsters? That’s cool. While at Saren’s estate, I learned more about this world. To keep it short, Gram and Muge weren’t monsters. Instead, they were just a race of living being. Unlike monsters, they had souls, etc.
Regardless, I needed to do my actual job, rather than spout exposition… Looking around, I saw a very convenient thing. In one of the trees, was a large enough hole for Marin to fit inside. Rushing over to it, I ensured that there wasn’t anything harmful or dangerous nesting in the tree, and then placed the now confused girl into it.
Slash!
I could fight with her in tow, but this makes it far easier. Now, the woman was protected from most sides, and I only had to stand in front of the hole. With my sword, I started to cut down each and every Goblin that came my way.
Cut!
In just mere minutes after I tree’d Marin, I had killed more than eight Goblins. All with great ease, I must say… How strong even are these Goblins? They seem far too easy for me to kill and defend against, as well as don’t fit the description that the guild gives them… I mean, the Goblins look like Goblins, but they were… very weak? System, shine some light on me!!!

:Summary:
A Goblin. Using kidnapped females of most humanoid species, they’re able to reproduce. In their race, only males are born, leaving them with the only option of rape to continue their pitiful and evil existence.
Show no mercy and kill them on sight. Though they look somewhat human, they have no souls, and lack any form of empathy. In more ways than one, they’re absolute monsters, and they should be treated as such.

Hm… should I sue Sava? This System seems to have far more information than hers tends to give me… Eh, whatever. She did make it herself, even though she wasn’t the one that controlled our universe.
And as for the Goblins… they were only one race of them here, so there was no need to inspect more of them. A large group, indeed. But they weren’t my opponents in the least. Though, considering that they seemed well fed, I am curious about their nest…
Marin: “Celia, more are showing up!” She informed with a scared out of her mind tone.
Celia: “…”
Just as the woman said, around twenty more had appeared out from the green forest. Oh, we must be basically RIGHT at their nest, huh? Well, I am certain that I can deal with them, even with their far superior numbers. We just have to hope that no special ones show up to ruin my fun and our likelihood of survival…
