Chapter 14: Eventually, I’ll get too Powerful.
(Celia’s POV)
Celia: “So, are you a criminal?” I ask with a smile.
Sava: “By a technicality, I haven’t broken any laws at all.” She proudly stated.
Celia: “That’s good. Now, can I look at my Status without you freaking out?” I reply.
Sava: “You know, that implies that neither of us won’t be utterly shocked by your current Status… But, do look away. My curiosity far outweighs any potential shock that I must suffer.” She said with a small shudder.
I mean, I know that it will be a massive increase in power, but it shouldn’t be that big, right? Like, I won’t be stronger than Ria, surely. On top of that, once I evolve, I will gain even more power. Ah! Enough stalling. Status, away!

Sava: “…”
Celia: “…”
Both my new mother and I were looking at my Status, and at the same time, so we both ended up shocked. This power increase was far more than I expected, and to be honest, I did feel so much more powerful than before.
But to see it laid out in easy to understand numbers… well, it makes the power even more apparent to me. Though I have no way to confirm this, I do feel that I am now stronger than even Ria. Such a feeling… it is odd, to say the least. Both of us needed time to process this information fully.
Lots of Processing Later!
Eventually, we had calmed down, and assessed my Status completely. Currently, that is, according to Sava, I should be the most powerful being in our original universe. Which means that I am stronger than Ria, as crazy as that sounds.
Celia: “Am I strong enough to win the game by default?” I ask with an excited tone.
Sava: “Hey, I said not to get a big head, Celia!” She said with a stern tone.
Celia: “…”
Sava: “And, no. You winning isn’t guaranteed at all.” She denied.
Celia: “There are being stronger than me, then?” I say with a head tilt.
Sava: “Stronger? Ah, I see that I’ve given you and your family a major misunderstanding. Though, to be fair, I have to say that Ria kept up the misunderstanding as well.” She said with a sigh.
Misunderstanding? Don’t tell me that all my efforts were in vain…
Sava: “Celia, we call it a game, and that is what it is. At the start, you’ll lose all your Status and power, and will be level one once more, and even a human.” She said with a serious tone.
Celia: “What!? Then what was the point of getting stronger…” I say with a sad tone.
Sava: “There is a major point to it, Celia. You will keep your knowledge, and some special skills, such as the ability to see and cut those strings. On top of that, your full potential in the game truly depends on how strong you were prior to attending said game.” She explained.
Celia: “If so, isn’t the game rigged in the favor of the strongest beings?” I ask with a nervous tone.
Sava: “Only the end of the game is. For most of the game, around 80% of it, the game can go either way. Beings as powerful enough to be Wills in the future, will be weak as an ant in the game.” She informed.
Celia: “Oh…” I reply with a disheartened tone.
Though it matters in the end, I do feel somewhat cheated… Basically, if you knew who the strongest beings will end up being, then you can kill them off very early. This is some great knowledge, but it makes surviving the game so damn hard to do.
This is most likely why so many of my family originally died in the game in the timeline that Ria came from. I have no memories of that time, but I must have pampered my family heavily, and they didn’t have much fighting experience to speak of.
Sava: “Celia, you’ve done it before, but the final training from me… will be fighting at your weakest.” She advised.
Celia: “Hm… that would be a major help, yes. What do I have to do?” I ask.
Sava: “Nothing. I will just snap my fingers, and you will be a weak human once more. In the game, besides others playing in it, you will have to face off against various monsters.” She answered, snapping her fingers.
Something that you don’t realize when being this strong… is that your weight is basically nothing to you. For the first time in… so very long, I felt the pressure of the weight of my body. I felt so heavy, and my movements were so very slow.
Sava: “Did you forget what this was like? Well, get used to it. The game will carry on for five to one hundred years. For a large portion of it, you will be a human. And if you’re lucky… you’ll be a Goddess near the end.” She said with a stern tone.
Celia: “Why don’t you do this as well? Surely, you’ll benefit from it too.” I suggest.
Sava: “Silly girl, I will not be playing in the game. As a weird and unique being, I am banned from entering into the game. Now then, do not try to wriggle out of this training, little one.” She said with a hearty laugh.
Like before, monsters appeared, all under Sava’s control. But she didn’t control them like lifeless puppets such as before, and they attacked me like truly living beings. With my sword and my unsteady body, I had to get used to fighting again.
The monsters were weak ones, such as slimes and large frogs. But they were still a challenge in this newly weakened body of mine. Hell, now I realize that Ria is even more partial to me. As that child body from before, wasn’t as weak as this full-grown adult body. Dear family, please know that I am suffering for you right now…
