If it was just one coffin, it wouldn't have stirred Zachary's emotions, but as time passed, more and more coffins surfaced, and as they did so, all the coffin lids were facing upwards. Once the coffins fully emerged, they began to sway gradually.

Although it was normal for the coffins to sway a bit immediately after floating up from underwater, as even a solid piece of wood floating on water would bob and weave with the waves, let alone such large coffins.

However, through Zachary's Divine Sense observation, he was sure that the reason for the swaying wasn't due to the push of the waves, but rather something inside the coffins causing mischief.

Originally, Zachary relied on Divine Sense to see what exactly was inside the coffins, but when he tried, unsurprisingly, he encountered the situation where Divine Sense couldn't penetrate, facing this, Zachary did not struggle. After all, this wasn't the first or second time such a situation had occurred; hence, even with its recurrence, Zachary could deal with it as usual.

By the time Zachary reached the edge of the deck, Jason and the others had long been standing there, also having seen those coffins beneath the water's surface.

Although the others didn't possess Divine Sense like Zachary to detect the abnormal movement of the coffins on the water immediately, the Guard Squad Captain chosen by Jason was very prudent, preventing some guards who wanted to shoot and probe the coffins.

Then he contacted the Watchtower through the walkie-talkie, intending to find out if the coffins were only present in the water around them, or if all the surrounding waters of the entire ship were covered by these coffins.

Watching Jason standing beside the Guard Squad Captain, yet the captain did not seek Jason's opinion before issuing commands, instead making decisions autocratically.

Zachary watched as Jason's face remained very calm, unsure of what was going through Jason's mind, as the most crucial military authority was handed over just like that.

Although the ship was Jason's Companion Spiritual Treasure, upon seeing Jason delegate military authority as well, Zachary was somewhat speechless. Even though the Guard Squad wasn't large in number, its members were always capable of strong combat effectiveness, and at certain times, a small number could still play a very important role.

But after all, it was someone else's ship, and although Zachary had some objections, he did not want to interfere and simply stood by without saying much.

At first, only one bumping sound had been heard, so the Guard Squad Captain believed that the coffins were likely only present on one side of the ship. But upon hearing that they were surrounded by these coffins, the captain's heart sank instantly.

Initially, if there were coffins on only one or two sides of the water, he would have considered speeding up to leave the area. However, when he heard from the lookout that the surrounding waters were entirely filled with coffins, the Guard Squad Captain dared not make any rash moves.

As time passed, more and more coffins surfaced, and gradually the densely packed coffins completely obscured the water's surface. If they didn't know for certain they were standing on a ship, just looking at the surface, they might think they had arrived at some special area, with wooden flooring entirely laid out around them.

When they heard from the lookout that not only their direction but the waters on all sides of the ship's body were the same as their side, it meant that the surrounding waters were now covered by coffins.

When there were only a few coffins on the water's surface, although the coffins were swaying, others might still think it was just due to the coffins drifting with the waves.

But, when all the coffins on the water's surface were lined up neatly, everyone could quickly notice the constantly shaking 'Abnormality' inside the coffins.

"Boss, shall I give it a try?"

Hearing his subordinate's question, the Guard Squad Captain hesitated for a moment before responding, "Don't touch the closer one; target the farther one first. That way, even if something goes wrong, we'll have some time to react."

Unbeknownst to them, Jason had already approached Zachary; observing Zachary's calm demeanor, Jason somewhat embarrassedly started to explain:

"I'm well aware that I'm not cut out for combat, but at a time like this, not having something in my hand makes me feel uneasy, so he was specially invited aboard by me. Not only is he the Guard Squad Captain, but also all the members of the Guard Squad are elites from his previous command.

Therefore, regarding combat, I generally won't interfere as long as he is here. I believe in trusting those I employ and not employing those I don't trust, so when I invited him aboard, I made it clear that he would be responsible for all matters related to combat, and I would absolutely not interfere."

Just as Jason finished explaining, a member of the Guard Squad aimed his rifle at a violently shaking coffin in the distance. Perhaps because Jason wasn't lying about hiring elites, and also because the coffin was a large target, even though they were aiming at the distant coffin, the bullet still hit the target with remarkable accuracy.

'Boom!' Zachary saw that although the bullet had hit the target, when it struck the surface of the coffin, it merely left an insignificant shallow pit before bouncing off, with the bullet's head hopping onto another coffin.

While others saw the remote coffin unharmed, thinking their sharpshooter had missed the coffin and the bullet had gone astray, hence the situation, they were just about to mock their teammate with schadenfreude when suddenly, two coffin lids in the distance slid to the sides, and then fell, sinking into the water from the gap between the coffins.

At that moment, everyone watched the two opened lids intently, and soon, a snake's head emerged from the coffin, then crawled to the edge and slid into the water along the edge.

Seeing the triangular shape of the snake's head and the bright purple stripes on its top, it was not hard to guess that this was a highly poisonous sea snake. Once this Venomous Snake hit the water, who knew which unlucky person would encounter it.

When everyone saw the Venomous Snake enter the water through the crack of the coffin, they immediately shifted their gaze to another coffin, curious to know whether anything else would emerge from the other coffin.

Unfortunately, after a long wait, the coffin with the lid already open still floated there without any other signs of movement. The Guard Squad Captain, eager to know what was inside that coffin, directly picked up the walkie-talkie and called the watchtower operator, "Send a drone to check out those two opened coffins and see what's inside."

As soon as the Guard Squad Captain finished speaking, a drone, resembling a paper kite, flew out from the highest part of the watchtower on the ship.

The Guard Squad Captain then pulled out a tablet, made some adjustments, and soon began observing the situation below from the first-person view of the drone's belly.

As the drone hovered above the two coffins that were open, everyone, through the drone's perspective, saw the different conditions inside the two coffins.

In the coffin from which the snake had crawled out, there was a small pile of tender white snake eggs. Looking at these eggs and thinking of the Venomous Snake that had just emerged from the coffin, the Guard Squad Captain instantly came up with an idea but decided to press it to the back of his mind as they had yet to investigate the other coffin.

However, as the drone arrived above the other open coffin, the others, looking through the first-person view from the drone's belly, were surprised to find that this coffin contained various supplies. Not only were there ordinary food and freshwater, Zachary also spotted liquor and beverages.
