Catastrophe Containment Facility

Chapter 1136: Meijia Sanctuary

Wen Wen was also interested in these two, so he decided not to intervene for now but rather see what these two wanted to do.

The green man, too poor to afford clothes, was on the Hunter Association's wanted list, and was the only survivor among the notorious criminals of Arkham City.

His codename is Liberty Vine Man, an extreme plant protector with the ability to control poisonous plants.

And the other, Dr. Yosef in gray robes, was even more intriguing, with a special emblem drawn on the chest of his robe.

The emblem was golden in its main design, with a motif of an eye among the complex runes, the Holy Emblem of the Truth Society, the 'All-Seeing Eye'!

"People from the Truth Society and former notorious criminals of Arkham City, I haven't gone looking for you, yet you've come to me yourselves."

At this moment, Delia was still unaware of the situation outside; she was pondering what to copy next.

Her favorite themes were those related to environmental protection, but most of this content had already been used by her, and the remaining ones were not easy to find.

Copying literary works wasn't as simple as imagined; data in this computer couldn't be transferred, so she could only manually type it onto another computer.

Moreover, although Another World used the same language as the real world, the grammar was quite different, so she also had to perform some translation.

As she was engrossed in translating, her bedroom door was pushed open, with Dr. Yosef walking in, followed closely by Liberty Vine Man.

Seeing the two, Delia panicked, wanting to shut down the computer immediately, but upon reaching out realized it was already covered with moving vines.

Since both of them were rather capable, this time Wen Wen didn't make a grand scene observing from the side but crawled spider-like onto the ceiling to peep.

Ever since learning from the spider ladies, Wen Wen's crawling posture had become even more eerie.

"Who, who are you?"

Delia looked at the two in horror; after all, she was just a fourteen-year-old girl who hadn't experienced any major troubles. Seeing such a scenario, she panicked.

"Don't panic, we are not good people." Liberty Vine Man said kindly to Delia.

Delia's environmental theories greatly appealed to Liberty Vine Man, making him a fan of hers.

However, he was more fervent than usual fans, often peeping at Delia, thus discovering her secret.

"Miss Delia, you may call me Dr. Yosef. I am a loyal servant of knowledge. I heard you have knowledge from Another World here, and would like to borrow it to appreciate for a few days."

"As long as you are willing to lend it to me, we will provide you with some benefits, such as not being just a mortal any longer, or enhancing your father's company's business."

Delia wasn't stupid. With the two bursting in so boldly, they surely weren't up to any good, so she did not believe their promises.

"I don't understand what you're saying. Whatever you want, just take it, as long as you don't harm me."

Her hand subtly moved behind her, and the hard drive from the computer vanished into thin air, returning to Delia's body once more.

This small action was covert, yet Yosef noticed an unusual wave, he said meaningfully to Delia: "Seems you're being disobedient, then we'll have to invite you to come with us."

"Do you know how many uses there are for a Binding Curse?"

Delia paused for a moment: "What curse?"

"It's this one." Yosef uttered a complex spell: "Ba Zhe Niang Men Gei Luo Zi Kun Qi Lai!"

The items in the room began to move, with bed sheets and curtains flying around, tightly binding Delia.

Terrified, Delia's heart pounded furiously, unable to utter a complete sentence, lying on the ground immobile, only able to stare at the ceiling.

Looking at the ceiling was a mistake, she saw something even more terrifying than Yosef and the other.

On the ceiling, a man emitting a sinister aura, with unnaturally twisted body joints, clung tightly, his neck rotated downwards 180 degrees, speaking quietly to Delia.

"Don't worry, you go with them first, I will rescue you."

Upon seeing Wen Wen, Delia, who managed to keep calm, inhaled sharply, uttering "Ugh," as her eyes rolled back, fainting directly.

Yosef, puzzled, looked at the ceiling, but Wen Wen had already moved elsewhere: "Strange, a Binding Curse is just a simple binding spell, why does she seem to have seen something terrifying?"

Liberty Vine Man indifferently said: "After all, she's a fourteen-year-old girl. It's normal to be scared by you."

Yosef nodded. The two left the villa, while Wen Wen crawled along, following them.

After they left, the vines in the villa retracted. Since these were idols, Liberty Vine Man refrained from killing, though it would take them at least a few days to recover.

Half an hour later, a team from the Hunter Association arrived and carried away all these clearly poisoned individuals.

Others were fine, just loaded onto stretchers, but there was a little issue with Spirit Heart.

He was attacked halfway through using the restroom, so his pants were half undone...

To pull up his pants, someone had to wipe his bottom, but none of the supporters were willing to do this task, so they rolled him onto a stretcher, placed a towel over his bottom, and took him out.

The onlooking crowd smiled meaningfully upon seeing Spirit Heart's predicament.

...

What happened at the villa was out of Wen Wen's control; he followed Yosef and Liberty Vine Man as they proceeded, ultimately arriving at a building resembling a large cathedral, with a huge and conspicuous All-Seeing Eye sign atop the structure.

Of course, ordinary people couldn't see these; the building was cleverly covered by Blinding Spells, appearing to outsiders as merely a vast old commercial building.

This place was one of the three Sanctuaries of the Truth Society, Meijia Sanctuary.

Each Sanctuary held great secrets and was a crucial base for the Truth Society.

The Truth Society was the most mysterious among all the secret organizations, never mingling with other secret organizations, nor clashing with the Hunter Association, only playing within its domain, with nobody knowing how many cards they had.

Yet they had three Sanctuaries such fixed territories, and each Sanctuary had a 'Professor' stationed, showing the importance of these sanctuaries to them.

Yosef and Liberty Vine Man carrying Delia entered the building in succession. Upon their entry, Wen Wen noticed a transparent barrier, with formidable protection power, requiring Wen Wen to shift into Catastrophe State to force entry.

Wen Wen stood behind the barrier, sighed, and the Catastrophe Gloves appeared; he intended to use them to dissolve a passage through the barrier.

Then, enter to see what secrets this Sanctuary held and why Liberty Vine Man was mingling with the Truth Society.

But if he did this, he could no longer remain hidden, inevitably leading to a confrontation soon.
