Chapter 1135: Unexpected Attack
The speech finally concluded, and Delia tidied up the materials on the podium, walking down from the stage like a proud little hen.
Following her were two strong bodyguards, hired by her family for a large sum of money, each one a superpower user with extraordinary skills.
Delia was born into a wealthy family, her family being a cultural industry giant in the U.S.-Canada District. The 'genius' she exhibited from a young age brought enormous profits to the family, thus she was highly valued.
Even the head of the family only had one bodyguard of this level, yet Delia had two.
Since she had been advocating extreme environmental theories, many interest groups saw Delia as a thorn in their side.
The biggest chopstick factory in the Capital District, not to mention others, offered a big sum to make Delia "shut up," but with the powerful bodyguards, no one had succeeded so far.
Wen Wen stuffed the remaining burger and two chicken legs into his mouth, bones crunching loudly, and then brushed off the crumbs from his hands, quietly following behind Delia.
Wen Wen could find information on her two bodyguards at any time.
One called 'Tyrannosaurus,' when activating his ability, would transform into a half-dinosaur, half-human state, with extremely high physical strength, particularly skilled at fighting people.
The other, 'Spirit Heart,' could communicate with invisible spirit entities in the air, nothing hidden around could escape his eyes.
With these two as bodyguards, ordinary people couldn't even get close to Delia.
But Wen Wen boldly sat on top of the car they were returning in, yet no one noticed.
The only minor mishap was that when the car passed under a bridge, Wen Wen carelessly bumped his head, but it was harmless since no one could see him anyway…
Delia lived in a luxurious four-story villa, with a fountain over ten meters in diameter in the yard.
The fountain was beautiful, and it had colorful lights, but its presence in Delia's home seemed quite ironic to Wen Wen.
Advocating for environmental protection was a good thing, but not practicing it oneself while telling others what to do was a bit disgusting.
Clearly, Delia didn't find anything wrong with this. She walked all the way to the fourth floor of the villa, which was entirely her bedroom.
Tyrannosaurus and Spirit Heart stopped at the two entrances of the villa. Once back, their nerves didn't need to be overly tense, as there was also a team of ordinary armed bodyguards who could easily deal with general intruders.
Wen Wen followed behind Delia into her boudoir.
Oh boy, just the bathroom was larger than a normal living room.
However, Wen Wen wasn't jealous, his entire Sanctuary was his home, finding someone with a bigger place than his was probably unlikely.
The whole room was in pink tones, looking very girlish, making Wen Wen feel somewhat sick seeing it associated with Delia.
Delia immediately sat by the computer upon returning, turned it on, and placed her fingers on the hard drive slot, a trace of illusory light appeared before her fingers.
The light transformed into the shape of a hard drive, inserted it into the computer, and the screen began to glitch rapidly, finally displaying an icon composed of four squares, resembling a window.
On the screen, there was only one hard drive icon. Upon opening that hard drive, it contained three folders named 'Film,' 'Audio,' and 'Written Works.'
Delia used the 'Written Works' folder the most, as written works were the easiest to plagiarize.
She knew this couldn't see the light of day, so she always handled this information herself, otherwise casually pulling a movie from here could become a big hit in the Federation.
Standing behind her, Wen Wen suddenly understood that she wasn't a transmigrator; it was the information she engineered that came through.
Information from another world, existing in Delia's body in the form of a hard drive.
If Delia hadn't only plagiarized written works and her family wasn't originally a cultural industry company, she would have already been targeted by the Hunter Association, and such a thing wouldn't have fallen into Wen Wen's hands.
Wen Wen was about to make a move, attempting to extract this thing from Delia, when he suddenly raised an eyebrow, the corner of his mouth curling into a slight smile.
"Someone else has their eyes on her too… interesting."
Spirit Heart, who was sitting on the toilet reading a newspaper, suddenly changed his expression as the spirit entities in the air informed him that something was about to attack the villa.
"Spirit bodies, manifest and protect me!"
With a loud shout, five semi-transparent figures clad in different armors appeared around him, these were his protective spirit bodies.
His ability was to make contracts with the ghosts of ancient generals, turning them into invisible spirit bodies guarding him.
The spirit bodies were immortal and retained all their combat power from when they were alive, which was a very powerful ability.
But this time, Spirit Heart was in over his head; even though the five spirit bodies protected his front, back, left, right, and top, they didn't protect below.
Several dark green vines extended from the toilet, binding Spirit Heart firmly. The vines had poisonous thorns, and Spirit Heart's body gradually became numb, leaving him unconscious in the toilet.
Others in the villa couldn't escape the fate of being attacked by the poisonous vines either; the twenty-person bodyguard team patrolling the yard one by one was ensnared by the vines, lying on the ground with greenish complexions.
Tyrannosaurus sensed the anomaly, roared, transforming into a half-human, half-dragon monster, smashed through walls and charged out.
The invader's aura was obvious, and he charged in its direction, planning to use his massive force to crush the invader to pieces.
The invader was a man cloaked in gray, wearing a hood with only his chin visible.
Watching Tyrannosaurus rush over, the invader didn't panic, a mocking smile on his face.
The smile incited Tyrannosaurus's rage, and he increased the intensity of his charge, only to suddenly hit something, causing a deafening crash, flattening the surrounding grass with the immense impact.
Tyrannosaurus, dizzy and disoriented, staggered back a couple of steps, his forehead swollen and bleeding down his eyes.
In front of him, a transparent wall appeared out of nowhere, blocking Tyrannosaurus's path.
Tyrannosaurus hesitated to retreat, but as soon as he turned, a slender, pale hand pressed against his chest, releasing countless vines that wrapped Tyrannosaurus into a big cocoon.
The owner of that hand was an embarrassingly dressed man with green hair, wearing nothing but a few vines covering his important parts.
"Dr. Yosef, all resisting forces here have been subdued. We can go in now."
The gray-cloaked man called Yosef nodded and walked into the villa with the green man.
Wen Wen stood by the window, watching the whole farce. He noticed Yosef and the green man bore no killing intent, so he allowed them to deal with these bodyguards.
