Calculating My Way To Immortality

Chapter 65: Yu Tian’s Type

"Is it done?" Yu Tian asked, looking at the kneeling sect masters before him.

"Yeah," Xueling said, leaning on him, her breathing heavy.

"It seems the technique isn't as effective as I thought," Yu Tian thought.

Using it against higher or same level opponents was extremely difficult.

She had only managed to successfully use it on them with the assistance of Yu Tian's poisons.

But not all was bad. As he helped her, he was able to completely learn the technique, both by watching her use it and also observing the victims to see how it reacted. With this knowledge, he should be able to not only create a resistance, but also improve it and create some interesting poisons.

As he thought of this, a voice suddenly resounded. "Liu Meihua seeks an audience."

Xueling smiled as she heard this. She remembered what Yu Tian had said the day before: "If they're smart, they'll pay us a visit." It seemed that this one was quite clever.

"You three, go sort out the issue with your sect members. Tell them about the current situation. If they're willing to obey, they will start out as servants. If not, kill them instantly," Xueling said.

"We'll do as the master says," they said.

Xueling nodded and then flew away with Yu Tian.

The two landed at the sect entrance where a beautiful middle aged woman stood. Her skin seemed quite pale and she wore a thin purple veil.

"I greet the sect master," Liu Meihua said with a bow.

"What a surprise. I was just about to come pay you a visit," Xueling said, observing Liu Meihua.

For some reason, this person made her angry. She glanced to the side at Yu Tian, who had his usual unreadable expression.

Liu Meihua sighed internally. She had thought of making it rich by taking advantage of the other sects, hoping that when they returned, they would've fought each other and weakened themselves, making it easy to defend against.

Due to the previous battle, they would be unwilling to team up with each other as both sides would have irreconcilable grudges. Although the sect masters probably would agree to teaming up, she didn't believe the others would that easily agree to team up with the people who killed their comrades.

Now when looking at it, her plan had had quite a few flaws that she had ignored due to her greed.

"What did the sect master want to talk to me about?" Meihua asked politely.

"Nothing much. I just don't think this region is big enough for more than one sect," Xueling spoke casually.

Liu Meihua's eyes widened. The younger generation was really something - she didn't even bother sugar coating it.

She let out another sigh.

She had expected something like this when she came here. Resisting now would be pointless. Although it was a pity that their ancestors' hard work would be undone, she hoped the ancestors would understand her. This was the only way to preserve what they had left after all.

"I greet the sect master," Liu Meihua instantly got to one knee.

"Ho..." Xueling had a surprised expression.

"Is this your choice?" Xueling asked.

"Yes. I hope the sect master takes care of us from now on," she said.

Xueling stared at her. This woman was quite quick on the uptake. She instantly understood her position and made the best decision. But this made Xueling displeased. Since she willingly surrendered to her, Xueling couldn't make things hard for her.

"Hmph, fine. Since you are willing to surrender, I'll appoint you as an elder," she said.

"Thank you so much," Meihua said. "I just have one request for the sect master," she said.

"Hmm, what is it?" Xueling asked, wondering what she was up to.

She reached into her pocket and took out a few spatial rings.

"These are the resources that our sect has accumulated over the years. For this, I hope the sect master can let us keep the teachings of our ancestors," Meihua said.

Xueling looked at her, her lips twitching. How shameless could a person possibly be? What "over the years"? They had clearly looted all this yesterday. But she couldn't refute this as since they had looted it, it was their property. She knew that Xueling would have asked for it sooner or later and decided to pretend to give it out of goodwill and get a favor out of it.

She glanced to the side at Yu Tian and was shocked. He was actually smiling. She then remembered: "Older woman, rich, powerful, smart, and scheming." Wasn't this just describing her? She was the exact type Yu Tian liked.

"Ahem, fine. You can keep your teachings, but newly born disciples must learn our sect's teachings. They can learn both if they want," Xueling said.

This wasn't that much of a request. Wishing to preserve the ancestors' teachings was a sign of respect to them. She smiled. Although she didn't particularly like her, it seemed she was a nice person, using this request for such a noble thing.

"Thank you, sect master," she said, bowing. "Master, this is as much as I can do for the sect," Meihua thought.

"Alright, go and make the necessary arrangements," Xueling said. "Since you voluntarily surrendered, you won't start out as servants but as members of the inner sect," Xueling said.

Meihua bowed and then left.

"You dealt with that quite well. You have the makings of a natural born ruler," Yu Tian praised, looking at her.

She blushed upon hearing his praise.

Her expression then changed. "Hmph, then why were you so smiley while observing her? Is she really the kind of person you like?" Xueling asked.

"More than observing her, it's more correct to say that I was observing you two," he said, holding his chin. "I think you two will get along well," he added.

She looked to the side. What did that even mean, observing the two of them? Could it be? Her cheeks flushed even more. He wanted to take them both as his wives? She covered her face in embarrassment.

Yu Tian looked at her. This lady was having strange thoughts once again.
