Responding to Qie Mi'er's summons, Xiao Yan explained briefly to Mo Yu and the others before heading toward the alchemist camp.

To Mo Yu's surprise, not only was the vice president of the Alchemist Association there, but several familiar faces as well.

Master Ao Tuo and Master Frank, whom he had met in Black Rock City, were present along with their disciple, Lin Fei of Xue Mei. They had all come to attend the gathering.

After almost a year apart, Mo Yu noticed that the two young girls had matured significantly. The air of maturity around them was akin to budding fruit, drawing admiration from those around them.

"Oh? Even Fa Ma, the president of the Jia Ma Empire's Alchemist Association, has come. I heard he's on the verge of reaching the sixth tier as an alchemist. Old monsters like him never seem to die, and each one is more monstrous than the last," a voice remarked in his ear. Hai Bodong suddenly lifted his head, squinting as he cast a glance at the old man in a purple robe in the distance. He muttered softly, "Fa Ma, huh?"

Mo Yu raised his head and looked toward the distant figure, whose face resembled dried bark, like a man at death's door.

This old man was none other than the current head of the alchemist world in the Jia Ma Empire.

"Haha, Brother Mo, shall we go over and say hello? Better than standing here bored," Hai Bodong said with a sly smile.

"Uh…" Hearing this, Mo Yu knew that this odd old man likely wanted to show off a bit.

After all, having hidden his identity for so many years, many people believed that the long-silent Ice Emperor had perished. Now that he had regained some of his strength with Xiao Yan's help, Hai Bodong naturally didn't want to remain in obscurity any longer.

"Then… let's go say hello," Mo Yu nodded slightly. While he didn't like drawing attention, standing around was indeed quite dull.

As the two approached, Hai Bodong sneered, "Tch, you old monster, how have you been lately?"

The sudden sneer caused the faces of those in the VIP section to change drastically. Sitting beside Xiao Yan, Qie Mi'er's expression darkened as he snapped, "Who is it?"

Hearing the sneer, Mo Yu was startled. He hadn't expected Hai Bodong to speak so rudely.

The cold sneer also left the old man in the crowd stunned for a moment, but then Fa Ma's gaze shifted to the approaching pair, particularly toward Hai Bodong. He muttered, "This aura… cold as ice… could it be… the old Ice Emperor?"

At the end of his words, a hint of astonishment appeared on his weathered face.

"Hehe, Old Fa, I didn't expect you to still remember me. Not bad..." Hai Bodong's figure flashed, and he slowly approached the VIP seats under the shocked gaze of the crowd. Sitting next to Fa Ma, he grinned widely.

"You… you're still alive? Didn't Queen Medusa… do that to you?" Fa Ma asked, his eyes filled with disbelief.

"Barely survived…" Hai Bodong smacked his lips, a trace of lingering fear in his eyes. He sighed, "That woman… truly terrifying…"

"You're a tough one… but it's good you're alive. At least an old man like me won't be so lonely, haha," Fa Ma laughed heartily, his wrinkled face twitching with amusement.

Listening to the conversation between the two, Qie Mi'er, who had earlier been offended by Hai Bodong's disrespect, quickly retracted his earlier anger. According to Fa Ma, this mysterious old man was also an incredibly powerful figure.

"Hey, Mo Yu." Just as Hai Bodong was becoming the center of attention, a light and playful voice suddenly sounded beside Mo Yu.

Turning toward the voice, Mo Yu saw Lin Fei and Xue Mei standing behind Ao Tuo.

"It's you two. Long time no see," Mo Yu smiled as he greeted the two beautiful young girls.

"Hmph, if we hadn't called out to you, you would've forgotten us, wouldn't you?" Lin Fei pouted, clearly displeased.

Hearing this, Mo Yu froze for a moment, then chuckled awkwardly and shook his head.

"Mo Yu, is it true what they're saying in the Mu Lan Empire about you? Did you really provoke the Mu Lan Valley?" Xue Mei, who had been quiet all this time, suddenly spoke up hesitantly.

"Mm," Mo Yu nodded lightly. Since Xue Mei was from the Mu Lan Empire, there was no need to hide the truth from her.

"This…" Hearing his confirmation, Xue Mei's beautiful eyes lit up with disbelief as she looked at the young man before her.

Mo Yu's reputation in the Jia Ma Empire was already well-known for destroying the Mo Clan. But in the Mu Lan Empire, his feats were even more astonishing.

He had angered Mu Lan Valley and defeated the Three Little Beast Kings—an unprecedented event in the last century of the Mu Lan Empire.

Lin Fei and Xue Mei were left speechless, staring at Mo Yu in shock. By now, they fully understood that the handsome young man before them was indeed a monstrous talent.

"This guy… why does everything he does cause such a stir?" The two girls exchanged glances, each casting curious eyes toward the young man before them.

At this moment, Ao Tuo and Frank also approached, greeting Mo Yu before asking, "The powerful man who came with you earlier, Hai Bodong—wasn't he once one of the top ten experts, the Ice Emperor?"

"You mean Old Hai? If I remember correctly, he does have the title of Ice Emperor," Mo Yu replied with a smile and a nod.

Hearing this, Ao Tuo and Frank exchanged a look, seeing the shock reflected in each other's eyes. They hadn't expected such an ancient figure to still be alive. Moreover, judging by his relationship with Mo Yu, it seemed they were quite close.

"Is this Ice Emperor your teacher, Mo Yu?" Ao Tuo asked, his gaze full of curiosity.

Shaking his head, Mo Yu replied, "Old Hai is a close friend of my cousin Xiao Yan. I met him through Xiao Yan."

"Xiao Yan?" Ao Tuo murmured, "The young alchemist that Master Qie Mi'er has taken a liking to is your cousin?"

"Mm." Mo Yu nodded slightly, thinking to himself how in the original story, it was they who had the sharp eyes to discover Xiao Yan. Yet due to his own interference, Xiao Yan had now been snatched away by Qie Mi'er.

After chatting a bit more, a loud laugh suddenly echoed from a short distance away.

Turning toward the sound, the group saw a white-haired old man dressed in simple linen robes, and their expressions immediately shifted to surprise. They thought to themselves, What kind of wind is blowing today that even this old monster has come out in broad daylight?

The newcomer was an old man in linen robes, his aura as deep as the Mu Lan Empire's Elder Lion.

Following closely behind him was the empire's little princess, dressed in an exquisitely tailored light green alchemist robe, exuding nobility.

Mo Yu's gaze briefly swept over the princess, only to notice that beside her stood another woman, dressed in luxurious silken robes and with a tall, graceful figure.

This woman's face bore a striking resemblance to the princess, though she had an air of cold elegance, much like Xue Mei. Beneath her cold exterior, there was a regal dignity that had clearly been cultivated by the royal family.

Compared to the petite and cute little princess, this woman exuded a mature and alluring charm, her every glance filled with natural seduction.

Seeing this, Mo Yu immediately knew who they were.

They were the royal ancestor of the Jia Ma Empire, Jia Xingtian, a peak Dou Huang, and the two imperial princesses, Yao Yue and Yao Ye.

Smiling as he approached, the old man in linen looked at Hai Bodong and Fa Ma and laughed heartily, "Who would've thought the three of us could gather together again? Truly, fate works in mysterious ways."

"Indeed, it's quite a rare occasion…" Fa Ma chuckled, "Old monster, I never thought you'd come to watch this tournament. I remember you don't usually care for such events."

"After staying hidden for decades, I thought it'd be good to come out and take a look once in a while…" Jia Xingtian laughed, then glanced at Mo Yu and Xiao Yan. "Old Ice Emperor, are these two young lads your disciples?"

Hearing this, everyone in the VIP seats perked up their ears. Even Fa Ma quietly shifted his gaze over, clearly curious about the relationship between these two youths and the former Ice Emperor.

Surprised by the question, Hai Bodong laughed heartily and clapped both Mo Yu and Xiao Yan on the shoulders. His next words left everyone, including Jia Xingtian, utterly astonished.

"My disciples? Haha, I wish! But I'm not even qualified for that…"

"Not qualified?"

Elder Jia's calm and elderly face showed a hint of surprise. His gaze turned toward Mo Yu and Xiao Yan. With Hai Bodong's strength at the Dou Huang level, how could he claim to be unqualified to be this young man's teacher? Could this kid really possess such potential?

In the VIP section, Xue Mei and the others were equally astonished as they looked at the laughing Hai Bodong.

"Haha, Hai Lao is just joking. Elder Jia, please don't mind it. It's just that I already have a master, so naturally, I can't switch to someone else," Xiao Yan said with a smile, shaking his head.

Mo Yu didn't offer any further explanation, only nodding slightly.

Compared to the loyal and righteous Hai Bodong, Jia Xingtian seemed a bit more self-serving in Mo Yu's eyes.

Mo Yu understood that, as a pillar of the royal family, Jia Xingtian couldn't afford to provoke the Yun Lan Sect. However, it didn't mean Mo Yu would seek close ties with him.

As he gazed at the two young men standing before him, the elderly man in the robe narrowed his cloudy eyes. Then, pointing to the mature and cold woman behind him, he smiled and said, "Young ones, I assume you've already met Yue Er.

This is her elder sister, Yao Ye. She is in charge of the security of this entire event. The safety of the five thousand troops, both inside and outside, all lies in her hands."

"Yao Ye, these are the friends I mentioned—Mo Yu and Yan Xiao. Mo Yu here has defeated the crazy brat from the Mu Clan, and his strength is quite exceptional.

As for Yan Xiao, his skills in alchemy make him the strongest contender for the championship in this competition," Elder Jia said with a smile, pointing to Mo Yu and Xiao Yan as he introduced them to the cold and elegant woman.

Upon hearing Elder Jia's praise, the little princess glanced at Mo Yu before whispering something quietly into Yao Ye's ear.

The cold and regal princess's eyes flashed with a hint of intrigue, though she quickly concealed it. Still, Mo Yu, with his keen observation, noticed it.

"Hello, Mr. Mo Yu, Mr. Yan Xiao."

Yao Ye, having regained her composure, stretched out her delicate hands toward the two, her cold gaze locked on them.

"Greetings, Princess Yao Ye..." Mo Yu smiled as he shook hands with Yao Ye after Xiao Yan had done so.

"Mr. Mo Yu rarely makes a move, but the results of your battles are astonishing. If you ever need a place to stay, the doors of the royal family are always open to you," Yao Ye smiled as she withdrew her hand.

"As expected of the imperial princess... her recruitment methods are truly sharp," Mo Yu thought, maintaining a slight smile but feeling a bit surprised.

Seeing Mo Yu nod, Yao Ye was satisfied and stood back beside Elder Jia. With her temperament, she wouldn't have lowered her stance to build a connection with this young man had her great-grandfather not spoken so highly of him.

"Though Yao Yue's words were a bit exaggerated, if he really meets my standards, then a marriage alliance isn't out of the question..."

Yao Ye's beautiful eyes swept over Mo Yu's handsome, demonic face, which remained composed. She was impressed by his unwavering calmness.

As a princess of the empire, she had enjoyed wealth and luxury, but for the sake of the royal family's interests, she was willing to make certain sacrifices, such as in marriage.

For generations, royal princesses had married into various influential families or to geniuses for the good of the empire. Yao Ye wasn't an exception.

And with Mo Yu's talent and appearance, he was one of the most outstanding men she had ever encountered. In that case, a marriage alliance wouldn't be too bad.

After exchanging a few words with Mo Yu, Yao Ye also spoke some encouraging and persuasive words to Xiao Yan before bowing respectfully to Fa Ma and Hai Bodong.

Her flawless etiquette was impeccable, even reducing the coldness on Hai Bodong's indifferent face.

After everyone exchanged pleasantries, they all took their seats in the front rows of the VIP section. Whether by design or coincidence, Princess Yao Ye sat next to Mo Yu. The faint fragrance of her presence drifted toward him, making it hard to keep his thoughts clear.

Sensing the royal family's intentions, Mo Yu shook his head slightly and then directed his gaze firmly toward the enormous, intimidating square below.

By now, as time passed, more and more alchemists were entering the square. The audience section across from them was already filled with a massive, black mass of people, stretching endlessly.

Seeing this, Mo Yu squinted his eyes slightly. Among so many alchemists, who might possess the treasure capable of restoring his bloodline power?

As Mo Yu pondered, he suddenly noticed a commotion around him. Frowning slightly, he turned his gaze toward the source of the disturbance.

The ones causing the stir were none other than members of the three great families of the empire. Such an impressive lineup was something no force in the Jia Ma Empire could afford to ignore.

As for the cause of the commotion, it was the two women walking in the center—Nalan Yanran and Ya Fei. Both women had vastly different temperaments but were equally stunning. Walking side by side, they naturally attracted a great deal of attention, no wonder the noble youths behind them were so excited.

The group made their way down the aisle toward the front row, exchanging smiles and greetings with acquaintances.

Taking advantage of this moment, Mo Yu's gaze swept over an unfamiliar elderly man walking with Nalan Jie and Mite-er Tengshan. Following closely behind him was Mu Zhan.

Listening to their conversation, Mo Yu learned that this man was Mu Chen, the Mu Clan's only Dou Wang expert.

Unfazed, Mo Yu shook his head. A Dou Wang expert? Even if She Lao didn't act, with Queen Medusa's help, Mo Yu wasn't the least bit concerned.

Shaking off these thoughts, Mo Yu shifted his attention back to the beautiful woman beside him and chuckled softly.

"Ya Fei, you're here..."
