Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200% Rebate System

Chapter 373: Broken Emily

With that, Emily stood up.

Her chair made a faint scraping sound against the floor, but she did not care.

Her hand reached for the door, ready to leave behind the man who had caused her so much pain.

For Emily, the conversation was over. She had said what she needed to say, and there was no reason to stay another second.

George opened his mouth, ready to spit out more words, perhaps to beg or insult her again, but before he could, Aurora's voice rang out, sharp and clear.

"I want to talk."

The words made the entire room still for a moment.

Emily froze with her hand on the door handle and turned slightly.

Confusion flickered in her eyes.

Aurora blinked at Emily, a small signal in her gaze that told her to leave.

Emily hesitated, staring at Aurora's determined gaze. She gave up.

'Maybe she has some plan.'

After a few moments of silence, Emily gave a small nod.

Aurora calmly walked over and sat down on the chair Emily had just left.

She crossed one leg over the other, her eyes trained on George.

A faint smile curved her lips, but the room suddenly turned chilly.

"Listen, you piece of sh*t. If you continue to harass Emily, you will regret being born."

George, already filled with anger from Emily's rejection, slammed his palm against the table on his side of the glass.

His face twisted with rage as he pointed at Aurora.

"Who do you think you are?" he shouted, his voice laced with arrogance.

"You are nothing more than a high schooler. And you dare to say such words to me? Are you not afraid I will retaliate? Do you really think I will stay locked in here forever? Once I get out, I will make sure to deal with Emily and with you, too!"

Aurora tilted her head, the smile never leaving her face.

Instead of fear, her eyes showed amusement, like she was listening to a child throwing a tantrum.

She chuckled lightly and replied, "You will never come out of this prison. Not in the way you imagine."

Her voice was calm, but there was a trace of certainty.

George's face reddened. His pride could not bear being spoken to like this by someone he saw as a little girl.

Aurora leaned forward slightly and snapped her fingers once. The sound echoed in the room, sharp and clear.

"All the things you did to Emily," she said with cold certainty, "I will make sure you pay back for every single one."

George laughed suddenly, a laugh filled with mockery. His eyes narrowed as he leaned closer to the glass.

"Are you saying you will make me miscarry?" he asked mockingly. "But I am a man. I cannot get pregnant. So tell me, little girl, how will you make me pay that way?"

Aurora's smile dropped. Her eyes darkened as a possibility flashed in her mind.

"What did you just say?" she asked quietly.

George smirked, enjoying her reaction. He leaned back, his arrogance blooming.

"I made Emily miscarry on purpose," he said with pride.

"Do you want to know why? When I found out I was the illegitimate son of a rich man, I realized I had power. And with power comes wealth, women, and influence. I could not let a stain from my past appear and try to drag me down by begging for money."

He sneered and continued,

"So I got rid of the problem. I made Emily miscarry. That child… it was an obstacle, nothing more. Now look at me. Even if I have to stay here for five years, ten years, it does not matter. Once I come out, I will make Emily pay for this humiliation. I will crush her, just like before."

Aurora stared at him, her expression unreadable.

But she could feel anger boiling inside her.

Every word George spoke was like poison, each one more disgusting than the last.

She nodded slowly, her face turning calm again, too calm.

"If that is the case," she said softly, "then I will make sure you never come out of prison in one piece."

George's eyes widened slightly, then narrowed. He chuckled, his voice full of mockery.

"So, you mean to kill me in here?" he asked.

Aurora's lips curved into a smile, but this time it was sharp,

"I never said you would die," she answered. "Only that you will be disabled."

George's fists clenched tightly. His eyes burned with madness, and a twisted smile spread across his face.

"If that is the case," he said slowly, "then do it. Do it if you can. Otherwise, I will look down on you and Emily for the rest of my life."

He leaned closer, his face pressing against the glass as his grin grew wider.

"You think you scare me? You and your mediocre Waters family? From what I know, you are not even rich. You are nothing. My father is powerful. Even if you use all your little connections, you cannot win against him. You are just a high schooler playing games."

He smirked and locked his gaze with Aurora, daring her to respond.

Aurora's eyes narrowed. She sat back in her chair, her calmness returning.

"If that is the case," she said quietly, "then we will see."

Her voice was soft, but the confidence in each word made George flinch.

She stood up gracefully, her movements calm and composed.

Without looking back at George, she turned and walked toward the door.

George shouted after her,

"Stupid b*tch."

But Aurora did not stop. She did not give him the satisfaction of a response.

On the outside, her face showed only calmness, but inside, she felt rage.

Her fists clenched tightly at her sides, her nails digging into her palms.

The moment George admitted what he had done, Aurora understood everything.

He was not just careless or selfish. He was rotten to the core, a greedy man who had willingly killed his own child for money and pride.

Her chest ached when she thought about Emily.

Emily had suffered so much.

She had lost her baby, her trust, and her hope because of this monster.

Aurora's rage swelled, so strong that her vision blurred for a moment.

She wanted to go back, to slam the door open and slap George across the face until the stupid grin on his face faded away.

She wanted him to taste even a fraction of the pain Emily had endured.

But Aurora stopped herself. She took a deep breath and suppressed the rage.

Revenge, she realized, would not come through an impulsive act of violence.

George needed to be destroyed completely. To the point he regret crossing path with Emily.

As she walked down the corridor, her footsteps echoed in the empty hallways.

She promised herself that she would not rest until George paid for every tear Emily had shed, for every pain she had carried, and for the life of the child she had lost.

As Aurora turned the corner, she suddenly stopped. Her eyes widened slightly.

There, leaning against the wall with a heavy slump in her posture, was Emily.

Her shoulders trembled faintly, and her head hung low.

Her face looked pale and exhausted, as if all her strength had been drained in that short but painful meeting with George.

Aurora's expression shifted immediately from calm to deeply worried.

She quickly walked toward Emily, her steps gentle and caring.

"Emily," Aurora asked softly, kneeling down beside her, "are you alright?" Her voice was full of genuine concern.

Emily did not say a single word.

Her eyes remained closed, and she seemed to hold back tears.

Slowly, she moved her arms and hugged Aurora tightly, as though she wanted to cling to something real in a world that was crumbling around her.

Her voice trembled when she spoke, almost a whisper. "I never wanted things to turn out like this."

Aurora patted Emily's back gently, not knowing what else to say at first.

Then Emily continued, her voice filled with a quiet sadness.

"I always imagined my future would be so different," she said, almost as if confessing to herself more than to Aurora. "I had imagined having a cute child, someone I could love and protect. I thought I would have a good life… a peaceful, happy life."

Her voice cracked slightly.

"But now… now I have nothing," she added. "I don't have my child. And I don't have the courage to love again."

Aurora's eyes stung.

The one thing she couldn't bear... was the sadness of her loved ones.

She looked at Emily, seeing the same gentle and caring woman who had always stood by her.

Emily, who was supposed to only act as an actor, had slowly become more than that.

She was a friend. She was like family. She had worked tirelessly, always trying her best, not just for the job, but because she cared deeply.

Now, the same Emily was telling her that she could not find the strength to love, not even once more.
