Chapter 365: Investment
"I must say, I am very much impressed." Miss Dawn smiled.
Lucas clenched his fists, excitement rising in his chest. Hearing such praise from Ms. Dawn herself was more than he had ever hoped for.
However, her next words came in a much sterner voice. "There are certain things that need to be changed."
Lucas immediately tensed. His eyes locked onto hers as he responded carefully,
"As long as these changes are within my capacity, I will definitely make sure to change them."
What he really meant was that he wasn't ready to completely rewrite his proposal, nor was he willing to let Ms. Dawn take full control of his business.
He wanted to maintain his own vision. Yet he couldn't say that directly. He had to sound cooperative.
Aurora chuckled softly in her heart. Her brother truly deserved to become a CEO.
She wondered why he had appeared as a villain in her dreams when he had such courage and a brilliant idea. Still, she decided not to dwell on that now. Instead, she looked at Lucas calmly.
"I have a few points that I would like you to change," she said. "I hope you will consider them carefully."
Lucas listened attentively as she began to explain the flaws in his proposal.
His eyes widened as he realized the mistakes he had nearly overlooked.
Some of them were small loopholes, but if left uncorrected, they could have caused serious problems and even led to huge financial losses in the future.
He couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude. He looked up at Ms. Dawn and said sincerely, "I will indeed change those."
Aurora, still wearing the guise of Ms. Dawn, nodded with a faint smile. Then Lucas paused, looking a bit embarrassed as he spoke softly.
"I want to present a good proposal to you. However, because of my inexperience, I mistakenly gave you such a proposal," he admitted honestly.
Ms. Dawn chuckled gently, trying to ease his embarrassment.
"That does not matter," she said calmly. "You put forth an idea and are taking action. That alone shows experience."
Lucas felt as if a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. Her words motivated him deeply.
He looked at Ms. Dawn with determination shining in his eyes and nodded.
"Good," Aurora continued, feeling pleased. "I approve of this business plan. I intend to invest ten million dollars into your company."
Lucas' eyes widened in shock. "Ten million dollars?" he repeated.
"That is correct," Ms. Dawn answered smoothly.
Lucas felt his heart beat faster. Ten million dollars was a huge amount, especially for a young entrepreneur like him. He wanted to express his astonishment but held back, instead nodding carefully.
Aurora went on, "In return, I would like ten percent of your company shares."
Lucas tensed again. He had expected that Ms. Dawn would ask for at least fifty or sixty percent. He could never have imagined that she would ask for only ten percent.
"Ten percent?" he asked, his voice filled with disbelief.
Aurora chuckled softly. "Yes. A very reasonable amount."
Lucas' eyes widened even more. He asked, "So you're evaluating my company at at least one hundred million dollars?"
"That is a conservative estimate," Aurora replied calmly. "From my perspective, the company's real potential could be worth up to one billion dollars."
Lucas' hands began to tremble. His eyes stared at Aurora with deep emotions.
He could hardly believe his luck. To think that someone like Ms. Dawn would be interested in his small business and offer such a generous deal.
He remembered the many investors he had met before. They had all been arrogant and selfish, trying to buy ninety percent of his shares for just one hundred thousand dollars.
Every time, he had almost wanted to slap them for their disrespect.
He knew well that he lacked substantial proof of his business's potential and hence those old investors had tried to take advantage of him without hesitation.
But Ms. Dawn was different. She had given him a real chance. She had shared her vision and the real value of his company with honesty.
He felt deeply moved.
"I agree," Lucas said firmly. "Let us sign the contract."
Aurora nodded, satisfied. She could feel that now her brother would not have to search for unreliable investors. He would have a good future ahead.
They both signed the contract. It felt official and important. For Lucas, it was a dream come true.
Even after the papers were signed, everything seemed unreal to him. The world seemed too bright, as if it were painted with brighter colors.
It was not until the next moment, when ten million dollars were transferred to his bank account, that reality sank in.
Lucas could hardly believe it.
His hands trembled as he bowed deeply to Aurora and said with all his heart, "I will make sure that one day, you will not regret investing in me."
Aurora, still in her role as Ms. Dawn, smiled softly. But in her mind, she knew that she would continue to support him no matter what.
Her goal was simple. She wanted to prevent her siblings from becoming villains.
In her dreams, Lucas had acted like a successful CEO even though he was just an employee. Now, in reality, she would do everything to help him reach that position.
Becoming a CEO meant a big change. People learned to think differently, stay humble, and carry their responsibilities with care. This was the path Lucas needed.
She stood up calmly, ready to leave.
But before walking away, she paused and took out a simple but elegant business card. She placed it on the table in front of Lucas.
"If you ever encounter any problems," she said softly, "you can contact me directly."
Lucas looked at the card, his hands still trembling. He held it carefully, his eyes full of emotion.
He nodded again and said, "Thank you, Ms. Dawn. Thank you so much."
With a gentle smile, Aurora turned and left the room. Her steps were graceful, and her heart was full of hope.
Lucas sat back down, his fingers gripping the card. He felt more excited than ever before.
